I'm sick of this false narrative that Pattinson didn't "play a good Bruce Wayne". These people don't know the character. Bruce Wayne at his core is a broken man beyond repair. This is what Pattinson plays so well. A Broken Bruce Wayne. A REAL Bruce Wayne.
And not even just that they don’t know know the character. I can forgive that. But It’s like they expected Bruce Wayne to be the Bruce Wayne they’ve seen before and somehow didn’t realize that “Bruce Wayne” isn’t even in this movie. Which was a major point to the plot and ending. Clearly this is setting that up for the sequel(s)
People just can’t understand simple concepts. It’s literally been stated several times and in interviews that Bruce hasn’t learned how to separate Bruce Wayne from Batman yet. He’s literally stated in the movie “I think I’m looking at the real you right now.” Bruce Wayne is the mask for Batman. It’s Year 2 Batman after all.

Facts!! He played the REALEST Bruce Wayne. A human being who goes out dressed as a bat to be a vigilante is definitely dealing with issues. He's emotionally drained, jaded, depressed, sleep deprived, socially awkward, and completely obsessive and driven.
I don't see how any Batman fan could not love this movie. It was a live graphic novel masterpiece.
True Batman fans love the movie. People think because they played the Arkham games and watched the dark knight trilogy/Snyder Batman that they think they know what the character is. Despite not reading a single graphic novel in their life.
Only snyderbot, marvel and Nolan tard's conservatives can hate this movie.
There's so many versions of batman, saying this is definitive batman and people who don't agree aren't true batman fans is genuinely some of the dumbest shit Ive ever heard. Its pretentious, people that say others aren't fans becsude they don't agree with their opinion are genuinely morons.

@@vibrioidabyss9352 the arkham games is the perfect batman gtfoh. I love this movie too but wtf are you tryna say about the arkham games ? That universe is best suited to bring any villain and make it work. As good as this movie is they cannot bring the Lazerus pit or any magical stuff into it because it will kill the realistic setting that they established.
Villains will have to be heavily changed to exist here, but arkham can go all out.
I've see lots of people complaining about the final act of the movie, but for me, the final act was one of the best parts.
It shows perfectly Batman's/Bruce's character development, from an angry vigilante who only cares about punishing the criminals, into a real hero who wants to protect the people of Gotham.
When the Riddler's follower says: "I'm vengeance", you can see how he realizes that he's only one step away from becoming like them, sees the hanging power cable & then immediately jumps to cut it and prevent it from killing the trapped people.
He rises out of the water, like if he's ''baptized'' into a new person, lights up the flare & leads the people to safety.
Followed by Bruce's monologue and the scene where Batman carries the injured girl, who's holding his hand.
He's not the ''shadow of vengeance'' anymore, but a ''beacon of hope''.
The whole sequence was just beautifully shot and written by Matt Reeves.
In an age, where Hollywood has pretty much -ruined- ''deconstructed'', most of our fictional heroes, we need something like this more than ever.

My only complaint is the fact that Riddler floods the city. His whole philosophy was targeting those who "deserve" it (aka the corrupt elite) but the flooding effected literally everyone. I guess that can be explained by him being a psychopath, but it's still a little iffy for me.
There's literally zero build up to it lol he goes from causing and letting people get away with murder to literally u turning just because a thug he beat up says "I'm vengeance". Wheres the actual character growth ?
@@SWFT_edits I guess in his twisted "logic", he came to the conclusion, that the whole city needs to be washed away. I mean, he calls Gotham a "cesspool of a city" and what do you do, to clean up a cesspool?

The Riddler followers were all arrested, after he literally beat the crap out of them.
Also, during the movie, we see how he slowly changes in mind from being just an angry vigilante to become something more.
When the Riddler tells him that HE was the one that inspired him or when he goes into the Iceberg Lounge, to prevent Selena from murdering Falcone.
@@doublep1980 dude he watches as penguin literally causes accidents and blows people to shit and then immediately let's him go. By that point riddler had only killed what, 2 people? Penguin kills at least the two truck drivers who's trucks completely explode and then batman literally blasts out from their fiery graves all heroic like 🤣

Those who are calling this scene a non-Batman thing and comparing him with Superman should read Batman: Ego and watch the episode of Justice League animated series where a little girl named Ace dies. Battinson is the only Batman I can picture doing something like that. Period.

personally im all in for batman being more like superman.i know that some things will never change about him but i think that the reason why batman is still a HERO not an
ANTI-HERO(at least not considered one for the most part) is because he is a symbol of hope.he inspires people to do good in the shit-filled gotham and he showed many kids and adults that with him around things will be fine even if they're not.(and that's why i love this batman and DESPISE the frank miller one)
10/10 movie. Enjoyed every moment of the 3 hour movie. I couldn't look away for a second, and so many scenes had me out of my seat.
