My introduction to American Comic books was an issue of Lois Lane, #51 from 1964, my Mother bought it for me to keep me quiet while she spoke to the lady in the newsagents! She didn't know what she started, 59 years later I'm still buying, reading and collecting them! In the early years of the Lois Lane run, it used to outsell virtually every other DC and Marvel book, so no dissing Lois, if you please, lol! By the way, you've probably already been told this but on the cover of Superman #195, that's the Bottle City of Kandor that Brainiac shrunk, first appearing in Action Comics #242!
I was mildly disappointed when I saw you pulling up yet another Batman book, but then I got super excited when I saw The Eraser. The best part is that he uses his eraser to get rid of evidence in crime scenes. That's it. And his only weapons are his absurdly long pointy shoes that look impossible to get around in
15:00 - I'm sure you've probably already researched it, but in case not, O'malley And The Alley Cats is from the animated Disney movie The Aristocats from 1970.
My dad used to get SO aggravated playing the game aggravation, lol.... RIP dad , and rip the 70s.... I recognize almost every toy and game there, wow that stash is crazy, and all boxed and complete too
It must have been great spending time with your family on a treasure hunt. That hot wheels green crane truck with the orange, jib, there is a hook on the end of that. I had several of those. The first time I got one 😮was the mid 60's. If you don't look after your stuff. Some poor relative is going to have to sort them out. They may get fed up & sell them super cheap as one job lot.
You are a dude after my own heart. I am having flashbacks to my bedroom wall with the shattered X-men poster. Forgot about it and if I still have it but remember it.
I had Major Matt Mason as a kid(I'm 62)and remember fondly playing with him. The only setback was that they had wires inside of them so you could pose the arms and they would break.
Happy to hear! As I was going through the stuff I kept thinking how fun it was going to be to share with everyone. In retrospect I wish I took more footage!
My first time watching one of your videos. I collect comics, and I think It's a collector's dream to go in an attic and find some awesome comic books. Great video, subscribed. Keep up the good work.
What a great adventure bro!!! Amazing collection of toys and what great shape!!! Comics are still cool too. Thank you for taking us on the journey bro!!!
When you said "60's space toys" I immediately thought: "Oh man, Major Matt Mason" and sure enough! Wish you had pulled out some of those toys, were there any MMM figures in there? Those toys were amazingly pristine the boxes looked like they just came off the shelf it was like some dream!
@@50scap3 MMM and some aliens were in the box. I haven’t decided how I’m going to sell these yet but you can always hit me up on IG or lunchmoneycomics@gmail.com if you are interested
What a great video. Those Space 1999 toys are awesome. I collect comics and toys so this was double fun for me to watch Thanks so much for bringing the toys along, too. Though all books were stored wrong, dirty and in rough shape I hope you enjoy them.
Holy crap!!! That boxed Eagle 1 is amazing and worth a crap ton of bucks. I have a half complete one and is one of my favorites. Matt Mason stuff is killer too!!!!
4:21 Magnus!! I still have that one I bought off the comics rack at the local drug store!! Had the Major Matt Mason sets, too! Sadly they went the way of kids toys, Mom tossed them out years later 😭
God afternoon Michael Brilliant show, thanks for the dust and the dirt. My twin loves old comics old toys, never undervalue Gold Key Comics, they sell and sell, nearly all Gold Keys began with a TV show, and oh so hard to find in a good condition, We had the same TV shows here in Australia, hence my love of Gold Keys, I am sure you had great success in finding willing owners for the toys! This is really saving history.Keep up the good work. Sorry to say I am a bit behind on your shows but I save them up to slobber over. And appreciate seeing snatches of your great State. Cheers The Gold Key Four Color Kid from Downunda.
What a great dig and you had it all to yourself. Family will appreciate your help with all that. Nice when you can make a profit on something you bought along time ago. Fingers crossed. ManThing looked like it was in pretty decent shape. Great fun!
What an absolutely wild collection of items, like a true time capsule of a time before many of our generations. This was so cool, and surreal to see. Thanks to you and your family for preserving and sharing this. Also, those very old Supes and co stories are absolutely batshit insane lol. Definitely read them for their sheer lunacy 😂
I really enjoy looking at all the old items brings back a lot of memories as a child especially like the 1999 ship I had one of those when I was a kid and I love comic books thanks for sharing all the old items that you have found
Those sweet 16 Red Line tires are really expensive and collectible congratulations brother! And the little badges are worth about 20 to 50 bucks a piece at least.
Oh man. Definitely a treasure hunt as I haven't seen that many redline hot wheels together at once. Usually they are pretty beat up. This was so much fun. Thank you kindly for sharing. 😎❤️
There's also an eraser villain, The Living Eraser, in Marvel comics Tales to Astonish 49 where he is erasing the legs of Giant Man. I think he is also the only Marvel comic book character to ever acknowledge that he is a comic book character. Great cover too!
New subscriber here. Being a toy, game and comic guy this is my favorite video of 2022! You should do very well on the sale of the Hot Wheels and pretty good on the Matchbox. I loved seeing the attic filled with old toys and games! Comics, well, as you showed , just don’t hold up very good in kids hand’s sometimes.
What a fantastic channel! So happy to have found this kind of content. It would be interesting to hear an update on what you were able to sell and their values.
Nice well-kept toys. I had the Hot Wheels red Firebird convertible, the blue wagon and the blue boat shown. Space 1999 was a TV show that I remember. The western figures are from Best of the West I believe. I had a Jerry Lewis comic. Great stuff.
Such a great video buddy, I need cooler relatives 😂. World's finest 177 is absolutely awesome, still baffles me that it's not expensive too. Superman 199 is one of my favourite books, i had it graded recently and it's on my "keeper wall"
I am a new subscriber to your channel and have been binge watching this evening. Love this one. This is what most of us dream about and you were able to experience it firsthand. Granted most of the comics were in well loved condition as a friend of mine likes to say, but so what. Lots of fun and great comics to add to anyone's collection.
Green Lantern is the man! Superman was my first at 4 5 years old and then a couple years later came Green Lantern. Those are my two main DC guys. Love the books man love the books.
Dude you hit the motherlode, you def will get a pretty penny for that space 1999 eagle as well as the Major Matt Mason set, those are worth good money,
People frequently ramble about how everything has been picked and/or discovered. There's no basements or attics left with gems to find. But, I've always argued that as long as people are aging stuff will be found. Last year there was a baseball card collection found in NJ that will probably be the best one ever. "Uncle Jimmy" is what I think it was titled. The promise collection for comics from early this year is one for comics
Fond memories! When visiting Gramma as a kid, there was a big box of Matchbox cars in her walk-in cellar. Older brother, older cousin, we'd pull 'em out, play w 'em in the red foothills dirt, and always put them back when we left. Back home, I made my own Hotwheels from a cork from my grampas booze bootle. Stuck tacks in it w big tacks in the rear for mags, smaller tacks in front. Drew✍️🏼on a racing number. Then in class, I used a pink eraser for the homemade hotrod. I've always been a Marvel dude. To me, back then, mid70's, DC was for the older generation from the 50's. (DC was referred to as 'our distinguished competitor' by Marvel, always respected)
Wow...bringing back some great memories. The first item you had in your hand was the Caesar Roman Galley, I believe it was made my either Remco or Marx. It even still had the roman catapults...awesome find. If my memory serves me correctly it came with roman troops in various poses.
Price tags easy to get off 1. Hair dryer low heat at an angle Warm it up so the glue melts then 2. Take a pair of tweezers and slowly peel the tag off using the dryer to continue to blow low heat under the tag and pull it off. 3. To clean the residual off take a cheese cloth or something clean and smooth put a dab of clear shoe cleaner(wb40 works too believe it or not) and gently clean off the rest of any glue left. Works in plastic toy packages too.
Back in the 60s and 70s when comics were sold in grocery/drug/quickie stores, the proprietors could cut off the tops of the comics that didn't sell and return them for partial credit. The remainder of the comics would either be thrown away (philistines) or given to a child within the family.
The HotWheels. Just WOW!!!
Those were toys from my childhood in the 60's and I remembered most and had many of them. Nice video.

Ah thanks! I saw that as a kid but didn’t make the connection.
Johnny West and his horse was one of my fave toys as a Kid
THAT SPACE 1999 SHIP HAS GREAT VALUE. AND BOXED GAMES ALSO HAVE A GREAT VALUE . KEEP THE MATCH BOX TOGETHER.
Loved this.Thank you.👍
As someone that was born in 1963, This brought back memories for me. Thanks.😊

Yes! I noticed one of the arms was not posable and that would explain why.
Had those too, the cool blue plastic space station. The crawler, the astronauts and the green alien.
I've been looking for a nice MMM for years, they were my favorite toy when I was a kid.
Fondling playfully 😅
So freaking cool!
I had that Major Matt Mason Crawler when I was a kid. That was my favorite toy. What a memory!
All the best toys in amazing shape!
You have a lot of great videos. This was the most enjoyable for me. Thx!
That was awesome. Takes me back to my childhood. Loved the die cast cars and Space 1999 Eagle.
Wow sorry about her and your family's loss
I remember that Issue on Superman where he races The Flash
All my life I have wanted to do what you just did! Thank you for taking us with you on this treasure hunt. I enjoyed every second of it.
Happy to hear! As I was going through the stuff I kept thinking how fun it was going to be to share with everyone. In retrospect I wish I took more footage!
Amaze a matics so cool... my dad had one at his office in the 70's.

That Space 1999 Eagle
Great stuff!! But I have been in many an attic and that one was too clean. Nobody's attic is that neat!! 😂
Check under the first layer of matchbox cars. Most carrying cases had 2 layers...

Wow 😊 Matt Mason I had that as a kid❤❤
Man! What a great vid, LMC. So much fun to watch. 😁
