I think the test audiences would have liked it if she ended up with Ducky when he was supposed to be played by Robert Downy Jr. so we never would have gotten her with “this” version of Ducky. Just my opinion, why I accept she made the wrong choice.😉

i wrote a story about a character that was inspired by a duckie and how he would turn out married to a babe. it was duckie and the jon guy from jon and kate plus 8 as my models of character. i thought it would make a decent sitcom but of course i never got far with it. but the duckie character would be sort of bossed around by the wife almost to the point of unfair that he has to go along with the "boss".
The performance was no doubt great on Cryer’s end, but I would have been embarrassed to be a Duckie. He’s one of those guys who tries too hard to be liked.
