I used to design control panels like that. The ones with alarms is called an enunciator (i think). Those are alarms for critical sensors in the control system. 6:32 this shot makes me so uneasy. It only lasted a second or two but seemed much longer the first time I saw it. Seeing no movement in a place that should be inhabited by people just tempts my brain to start to wander and create things that were never really there.
I'm scrolling in the middle of the night and I see that 16 minutes ago Wendigoon made a video about an abandoned nuclear power plan that he appears to be exploring. I love what this man does
Ah this brought back memories of working at the airport as an gis intern. Just seeing unused areas and getting to eat lunch in an old and unused air control tower that no one's probably seen the inside of decades was so much fun
I shoot rifles competitively and we did a zombie themed sniper match here! we shot from the roof, had to crawl through tubes, run through mud, shoot off a truck, etc. and at night me and a few of my friend would go and explore the facility. An absolutely amazing experience so seeing your video pop up and recognizing that control room was the coolest.
Shame that Wendigoon was zombified by the brain scorcher trying to reach the CNPP. Still wierd hearing that he planned on using the wish granter to allow him to lick the elephants foot without dying of radiation sickness.
Wendigoon is dorky enough to go to one of those "haunted experiences," but is also genuine enough to insist that it be a physical location worthy of a horror film

Wendigoon watching the oldest view: yeah this guy is just asking for it! Also Wendigoon: oh, some random switches and buttons in abandoned nuclear plant!
The panel you’re looking at 9:04 is called a pan alarm. Gives you location of an alarm (valve/breaker/pump/motor) and name of equipment it would flash and make an audible noise if the operator needed informed of something going on with that piece of equipment
This is perhaps the greatest reward I’ve ever received for my terrible sleep schedule. Finals stand no chance with the morale boost that is Wendigoon going through disturbing areas in the most cozy way possible.
its so creepy then we have a bunch cheery dudes cracking jokes and having fun i loved it its exactly like how friends would act like together on a haunting exploration
Actually on the bit about an armory, that might actually make sense. I took a tour of an old nuclear reactor and there were concrete firing ports built in places. It’s in case someone gets the bright idea to steal some nuclear material/waste or decides to destroy a reactor etc.
I was wondering if that was actually likely to be an armory, I know that security at these places is absolutely not a joke, it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
That room around 12 minutes in where windigoon asked if that was an armory is in fact one. That is a prefab unit to meet naval standards for warships back in the day.

Cool stuff
You seem to be quite an expert on buses!
@@brandoncullen4189 yeah they call me the bus SME (Subject Matter Expert)
Cant believe we got some information right from the source, can only imagine what it was like sitting in a bus.
Indeed, you are hilarious
This is exactly like a horror movie, but nothing bad actually happens lol
I'm gonna appreciate how good of a cameraman this guy is to make a completely mundane regular exploration video feel like an actual found footage movie with how it was shot in some areas.
specially moments like 6:26 in which homie just focuses ominously into the background
Ahh God yes I agree

nah frrrr

I got jumpscared as when Wendigoon pushed the button at 9:29 there was a garbage truck outside beeping, so I thought that the alarms in the facility had just gone off
I love how they just stroll through a potentially dangerous place all while quoting memes and vines, truly an iconic moment
They wouldn't be allowed in, let alone allowed to film a movie there if it was potentially dangerous.

Well said! I flipping LOVE FF.
if the camera was less hell bent on illuminating every room it would've looked damn spooky too, some of those shots looked straight out of something like the backrooms

there's a reason he's my favorite!
James has such little kid climbing/jumping on everything energy 😂
25:50 Imagine you're exploring a power plant, and all of a sudden you spot three men slowly walking towards you singing country roads.
I would shit myself
25:40 Hold up full song covers in an abandoned nuclear power plant would actually be dope as hell. Like creepy / melancholic atmospheric songs? That'd be sick man
Also 38:02 goddamn
Idk, metal would play well here too, so would hardstyle/hardcore. Reverse bass echoing would sound beast.
such an underrated moment in the video
@@anon2234 Aw yeah I didn't even think of that
38:48 absolutely killed me for some reason hahaha😂

I used to design control panels like that. The ones with alarms is called an enunciator (i think). Those are alarms for critical sensors in the control system. Employees (operators) monitor those and they light up. LAH = level alarm high, LAL=level alarm low, etc... The number is for the sensor so you can find it on a P&ID diagram.
May I ask what a P&ID diagram is?
@@emerablade2021 Piping & Instrumentation Diagram. Like an electrical schematic but for pipes, tanks, reactors, etc in a plant. "Instrumentation" = sensors & control systems.
I'm in no way challenging you, I've had more crazy/unique experiences than most in my lifetime (filled a RX a rockstar ODd on, survived a horrific car crash, was a hostage in a mass shooting, etc... ).
I'm just curious if you can mention, or hint at, who you worked for? Or please just tell us your favorite story from that time.

Im gonna be honest, i can’t watch older RUclips videos 😂 I always gotta watch newer ones
25:39 This part remains me of the scene from full metal jacket where the soldier are singing Mickey Mouse song, but with a modern, post apocalyptic twist, absolutely love it and I wish someday we can see something like that in a movie.
nice
Seeing Wendigoon’s legs is like when they cut to shots of the muppets with legs. That was shocking for a moment.
Edit: In all seriousness, this was an amazing video. Thank you for taking us on this ride.
I thought his legs were still trapped by all those rocks in the cave
Wendigoon looks and acts like a kid in a candy shop. This entire channel has been leading up to him larping as a tacticool operator in an abandoned nuclear plant. Love that for him

6:32 this shot makes me so uneasy. It only lasted a second or two but seemed much longer the first time I saw it. Seeing no movement in a place that should be inhabited by people just tempts my brain to start to wander and create things that were never really there.
Exactly what I was thinking
Felt perfectly like a backroom clip. A group walking and talking, then all of a sudden the camera turns and nothing
I'm scrolling in the middle of the night and I see that 16 minutes ago Wendigoon made a video about an abandoned nuclear power plan that he appears to be exploring. I love what this man does

Exploration videos that give off “10 year olds with a camcorder” energy. I love it
So glad Wendi showed all the buttons and levers and switches getting pulled/pressed because that's the content we TRULY wanted
Make sure to stay safe exploring abandoned places! Dust masks are very very handy and they give you peace of mind, love you boys, stay curious!
Nah, nobody wants to wear masks after 2020
especially the spicy dust
That place is in use constantly. At least 4 airsoft events a year and weekly training for police and other groups as well.
I love that for the most part they're respectful, but they can't help the human urge to touch things that they aren't supposed to
Also the part where they are talking about how smooth the buttons are,,,, god I understand that so much.
The irl exploration and on-location content is pure fire my guy, keep up the fantastic work
If you like this kind of content, check out shiey, won't dissapoint.
That is one of the coolest things I’ve ever heard
I love how his video about exploring an abandoned nuclear power plant is shorter then some videos about ARGs and icebergs.
I need a full rendition of country roads from you all in that room. It was haunting and sounded so cool.

Shame that Wendigoon was zombified by the brain scorcher trying to reach the CNPP. Still wierd hearing that he planned on using the wish granter to allow him to lick the elephants foot without dying of radiation sickness.
How to really annoy make a wish foundation... "my wish is to die with dignity...". /sarcasm mode :on.
he must be insane at combat though, theres not a single monolith in sight
You and Lemmino are some of the most insightful documentary makers on RUclips that show how far the website has come. Keep it up!
Wendigoon is dorky enough to go to one of those "haunted experiences," but is also genuine enough to insist that it be a physical location worthy of a horror film
Honestly I appreciate your audio detail, ive never seen a vid capture such clear electrical buzz and voice clarity
James' beautiful singing in that big, empty, eerie building was seriously so haunting!!!
Hey Wendigoon, cannot believe I caught this video as it was coming up. I have absolutely loved every single thing you've put out, and thank you for being on this platform. I'm so excited to get into this video
Thanks for reminding me how much I love "urban exploring" videos. This was really cool, and I loved it. Glad you had a bunch of fun!

something about the low fov of the camera makes this beautifully claustrophobic and builds a base level of anxiety. I love it.

Good job as always Wendi!
Half of the video was just three guys obsessively pressing buttons and turning dials. Best content on this website 🖤
Shane and Ryan should bring wendigoon along for an investigation in the future! That'd be so fun!

I’m living vicariously through Wendigoon because I too would go into an abandoned place and press every button and switch there.
Gotta make sure Wendigoon gets his annual “explore cool abandoned places” enrichment. Great video! Can’t wait for the movie!
The found footage vibes from this are crazy
I love how he said "here's 2 million people" as if that's a meager offering to these people
That room around 12 minutes in where windigoon asked if that was an armory is in fact one. That is a prefab unit to meet naval standards for warships back in the day.
I love how their attitude the whole time is just “press buttons first, ask questions later”.
