When I was at the peak of my strength in my early 20's I went sea bass fishing at Montauk, NY and almost tore a ligament in my shoulder trying to reel in a 50 pounder. This is insane strength, real functional strength.

The skill it took to do that without huli'ing the canoe is mind boggling. I have read about these coconut shell shark lures but this is the first time I have seen how they were used. I am an underwater photographer that specializes in shark photography and we lure sharks close enough for photography using plastic water bottles that we crinkle underwater. I am sure the sound is similar. Historic footage here.

Amazing system! When I was a 9 year old kid, I caught a 30 inch blue shark a couple of times and just trying to hold onto them in a boat was almost impossible. This man is extremely powerful. His sons are idiots for rejecting his knowledge.

The skill it took to do that without huli'ing the canoe is mind boggling. I have read about these coconut shell shark lures but this is the first time I have seen how they were used. I am an underwater photographer that specializes in shark photography and we lure sharks close enough for photography using plastic water bottles that we crinkle underwater. I am sure the sound is similar. Historic footage here.
