And here I was thinking you'd say something about the weird floor space division sometimes seen in Door Kickers. I'm not an architect but sometimes you see these buildings that make absolutely no sense.
Someone needs to tell him that some of his troopers have their NVGs equipped, which slows down their movement and aiming speed. This was a day time map, so obviously they're not needed.
@@blinkersgaming Just to clarify that this only applies to the Ares mod, which he's using here. I don't believe that the vanilla units are affected by wearing NVGs.
So at 25:36 what happened is that the second soldier in your stack _could_ see the enemy, but you'll notice there's a little red circle with an exclamation point that pops up next to them. signifies that they are able to see an enemy, but can't shoot at them because an ally or a civilian is in the way. It will also usually have a red dashed line that goes from the obstructed soldier to the obstruction.
Hello Karmakut, I love this channel. You can tell hostages to "run to the exit" instead of escorting them by clicking on them, and hitting the "exit" option. They will run right out to the safe zone. I thought this was an excellent display of CQB tactics, even if it wasn't perfect. Your movements were very well thought out, and it was really fun watching you micromanage 16 operators. Plus, this was a huge map! Realistically, on a hostage rescue, teams are aware of the risk, more than willing to take it, and sometimes bad guys are evil. Thanks for all the great content, I wish you all the best. Be well.
it is important to note they will use the shortest possible path, which means, if there is a path you haven't cleared or secured they will with no survival instinct run into a room full of enemies lol
@@Darthybuddy Uh no, they aren’t, they’re actually Romanian devs, and only reason the game hasn’t hit 1.0 is because the game is still in heavy active development.

Oh! I remember this map. Even without going in dark it was pretty damn hard. I ended up basically doing it in stages via lots of planning and restarts. Enemy placement RNG made sure that even that wasn't easy. I got really close to getting the single plan challenge except I didn't plan the end and by the time I got that far I was pretty much done with wanting to play the mission lol I refuse to accept less than 3 stars, which for sure made it harder, that and there are some hairy bits near the end. Failing (aka, losing a guy) near the end was why I started making a plan, saved a lot of time on restarts. EDIT: Having finished the video, the conference room with three hostages? Sometimes the guys in there start shooting the walls (like they did for you), but hostages just happen to be in the way. RNG FTW sigh Lots of restarts from that one. That room that is all door where things went to shit for you? There are so many exciting ways for that room to go very wrong. Eventually I started blowing into the large conference room from the main hall and avoiding the upper offices altogether until later. That conference room is full of exciting angles too.
Hey karmakut, could you play as CIA. I always find the CIA Operator teams very interesting. They are a small crew who tries to get the job done with limited man power, very cool 👍.
Even before the suicide bomber, you often have your guys entering the rooms looking the wrong way. They get deep into the room and then you turn them to look into the room. I haven't seen you play this in a while, but I know you used to do this in your videos before, too.
Lol I love the " *cough cough* we didn't go deep enough" Right after we see him friendly hug his own guy 😜 it's like the words wouldn't leave his mouth even though he wanted to admit he dropped his own guy he physically couldn't hahahaha
You should have just called in the A-10 so you could write it up as a massive success up until the point a cas thunderbolt was called in to do a moral boosting fly-by but instead did an oopsy and leveled the entire compound killing all the remaining hostages and operators that were all definitely alive before multiple 2000lb bombs exploded.
Whoo! Things went pretty well (I'm not sure what you could've done to stop the first suicide-bomber...) until you got to the conference room with *way too many* firing angles. That whole place was a kill-zone.
wall charge the wall to the left of the hostage and suicide bomber, take him out first and breach from the blown up wall while simultaneously breaching from the right side of the map with the operators that he didnt use the whole video that were in the bushes.
this map is the only campaign mission I haven't 3 starred yet. its brutal. the explosion @ 1:11:03 is a enemy QRF arriving on scene. that's why the main "camera room" is flooded with baddies.
@Karmakut when you say that you can't issue group orders, I think that if you select an operator and set him into a fireteam (A-D) you can click the A-D in the bottom right and issue a group command from there.
You never noticed even on the replay that the first death from the kill room comes from the northside windows outside. You see the broken glass from the gunshot later.
Try to find units.xml file in door kickers 2 files i don't know where exactly it is but you will need to change "supply=100" to "supply=50" and even lower it to 1/4 of a slot. I don't know if there is a mod for that,i searched but i couldn't find it and if you have some mods with including their own units you have to find the same units.xml file to lower deployment cost for a single trooper
im pretty new to pc games and have been playing this because I saw karmas videos on it. I would like to know how to add the mods to use 16 people like he used on this map. can any one point me in the right direction?
Where did you find those mods? Especially the “Going in blind” one. I recently got the game, and looked all over the steam work shop for them and all there was were maps. So I’m just wondering if it’s even on the steam workshop and if it isn’t than where did you find it. Fingers crossed someone reads this and can help 🤞🏽
Some of the the way the architecture interacts with the no visibility mod is a bit bullshit, though, like a low table or a toppled camera lying on a table casting shadows masking the shooters from view, which is absurd and shouldn't have allowed them to hit some of your guys.
I work for an architecture firm and I'd be lying if I said I never asked myself "How hard would this be to clear?" when designing a building.
Me when I play sims 😂😂😂

"Sir, we lost a hostage to a suicide bomber."
Karmakut: You learn something new every day ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
and he laughed
I love the guy who yells "KNOCK KNOCK" when entering a room that could have a suicide bomber lol real stealthy

I can't believe there's not more expansions or sequels to this game. It's so underrated.

The full 1.0 release is coming before the end of the year
This game is a sequel though? and while expansion DLC has been floated about as an idea, it isn’t gonna happen until the game leaves early access.

Bro are these voicelines from Insurgency Sandstorm? 😂
They are 100% from insurgency. Even the operators death voiceline is the exact same. IDK if it is from a mod he is using.
Hostage was the one to discretely message law enforcement and report their location inside, at least in my mind.
We need it for mobile

The top explosion was to clear the debris so they can flood from the north in the corridor
There also might have been 2 more entry points for enemy reinforcements to the north.
Love this game intense and action packed
Im honored to be here captain 🙏🤝
rear security shouldve been posted in windows, positioned perfectly for base of fire and the rooms have no entrances behind
The AAR lowkey makes this game as good as it is.
There needs to be some instruction on noise discipline for some of these fellas! That was a nightmare of horrid geometry to fight through.
you also totally missed the gate in the fence at the bottom right that you left uncovered
How are you making them lock at some corner with the pizza marker what button does do that

What's the mod that let's him place more units?

Where do I find those maps with everything hidden ?
What mod lets you place more units?
try AQR 1. thats also VERY fun

shift + F to toggle "go silent" for all troops
