We got the overnight ferry to Albania from Italy!

This week, we visit Pompeii, which, although really interesting, we have decided Italy just feels too hectic and the kids are not enjoying the site-seeing. So we made the decision to leave & get over to Albania, Greece & Turkey, where hopefully we will find more chilled beachy parkups, hopefully for free!
Our tips for the ferry to Durres, Albania from Bari,Italy are:
👉Take cash & enough for the green card at the port
👉Take your own water & cups as they won't give you any!
👉We were glad we took our own pill
👉Take an extra blanket as it can get chilly at night.
👉Don't forget towels like we did if you plan on showering.
👉Don't forget toothpaste and toothbrushes, but they do provide little sachets of shampoo & bars of soap
👉Breakfast choices are limited!
👉Get there early for the best choice in food
👉Go here to get your boarding passes, etc

Thanks, guys! Yeah felt this vlog was a bit negative but we were finding Italy tough. Although there are so many beautiful places, we just can't cope with the crowds.

Interesting that the countries that are deemed rural, cash is king. They know that without cash we have no power. We should learn something from this, maybe? ❤❤
Yes cash is definitely king here in Albania. Heard a few people say now they aren't putting their money in bank accounts any longer in the UK. Food for thought. X

Hi Jo, Honestly, it was scary to do this but never looked backed! We had Luna who was 1 year old, but sadly, she kept running off from the motorhome anytime we opened the door, and it wasn't safe at all. She nearly got knocked over and that was the breaking point. We found her a new home with friends and we get regular updates, and she is living her best life. It was such a hard decision and I felt terrible about it but we knew it was the best thing for her to have a garden and twice daily long walks. It's hard for us to do in lots of the places we stop.
