Yo Zach Wilson just effortlessly slings the pill around. Even in trouble he just flicks that shit and it goes flying. You can’t teach that kind of natural throwing talent, reminds me of Mike Vick

He looked decent. Some missed throws, 1 really bad interception, but when he hit his guy he looked great.
A little rust for sure but for somebody who hasn’t played a real game since last season and missed the first 3 weeks of this season couldn’t have asked for anything better.

@@Mrliftalee I thought it was a better defensive play rather than an bad play on his part because they were playing man coverage & the defensive back jumped the route voluntarily. Shouldn’t have threw it but that was one of those 50/50 kinda things.
Zach kept his cool and focus in spite of penalties and drops kid showed some cojones in the 4th qtr

You can just tell the gears are going a little faster in his head this year, the guy will have the nfl speed down by the end of the season, the jets definitely have something here
Take away 3 drops and 5 throwaways his adjusted completions would be 18-28 for 64%. Zach has underrated pocket sense. He doesn’t panic and his ability to casually escape pressure while still being aware of what’s going on downfield is a trait that separates him from guys like Baker Mayfield who completely shutdown under pressure. Down 3 with 3:35 remaining in the game Zach comes back to win. 10-12 for 128 yards in the 4th quarter with a touchdown and no Interceptions after starting 8 of 24 is the definition of clutch.

He obviously has a very dangerous and strong arm, his delivery reminds me of Michael Vick, no matter what you think of Jets, Wilson's arm demands respect from defenses because he can flick the ball 50yards just like Michael Vick. If front line buys him time he will scary.

Corey Davis had a great game. Wilson played well especially that last drive, though he still has consistency issues throwing. Can tell Wilson is a difference maker because of his mobility especially with that horrible line

I counted 5 clean drops (for 67 yards) and 5 throwaways running for his life.
If you add the total yardage and completions to his total he goes 28 for 36 (75%) for 327 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT (and 1 TD receiving). Not a bad day at all. If you count throwing from a "clean" pocket - he doesn't get pushed out of the pocket and doesn't get hit - it gets even crazier -> 14/19 with 2 drops, over 200 yards and an average throw depth of 12.5 yards
That oline tightens up zack will have a great season, for this to be his first game of the yr off injury and have two damnear perfect 4th quarter drives to setup the run in td nd only have 1 bad pick with another a tipped pass speaks VOLUMES
Protect him and he's the real deal!

Didn't watch the game live but seeing the film, definitely feels like he was better in the 2nd and 3rd quarter than people online had led on. A lot of throwaways and throws under pressure that plummet his completion percentage. I didn't see that many incompletions in the short game that were genuine misses that he should 100% should have made. There were definitely some but he completed far more than he missed

His throws are awesome to watch he just needs to get better at being accurate and know how to control the velocity on his throws he’s a gunslinger. Also avt is pro bowl caliber this could’ve been super ugly if he wasn’t playing LT. glad zach is mobile to a degree lol Also need to see more of this -> 7:25

First interception was really awful. But other than that it was Lazer beams all over the place. That last drive was his coming out moment. Gonna be up from here.

It's always the one short routes to the right. He gets lazy and doesn't set his feet. This fortunately is an easy fix and something I think he'll get shored up eventually.
Conklin should have caught that ball. Slightly high but both hands on the ball need to come down with it

If you want to see what a real NFL ready QB looks like take a look at the Steelers' rookie QB Kenny Pickett. Had a rough first 2 games, but he's already had a 300 yard game against the Bills, and the "eye-test" just looks different when you compare to Zach Wilson: very accurate, quick decisions. The Steelers stink this year, injuries galore, no one is making excuses for the kid. He's a baller and already better than Zach Wilson. If Zach turns into a competent game manager I will be happy.

Zach looked good but he's still struggling on those short passes. I have more confidence in him nailing a 12 yard pass than a 2-yard pass.
Zach still has a lot of growing up to do if not he is going to get hurt. At 1:25 mark instead of going down he is spinning and trying to extended the play, he jumps and throws the ball and guy come down on the back of his knee. He is lucky his season didn't end on that drive right there. I hold my breath every time he gets rushed

I feel like zack can be a drew brees type but he needs to clean up his game. Too much tendency to roll roll out of pocket and wants to play “messy”. Might have worked in college but not in pros. Too much tendency to side arm throws and zip passes too quick. Need to learn to control his speeds.

man the overhype on this kid Wilson again is surreal. I dont understand it, the only players he was able to hit were wide open receivers. Extremely sloppy throwing otherwise. After week 5 the commentators including Greeny will be talking about the Jets future in turmoil again. No chance Zach Wilson becomes a franchise build-your-team around him quarterback. at least 2 int per game, a team can not sustain winning with that many turnovers in a season

i'm sorry but i just don't see it with Zach. Jets won as a team but he threw it to the defense at least 5 times. He doesn't see coverage at all still. If it aint wide open you get nervous every time he throws the ball. This has to change or he will be replaced.

@@AlphaDwg plenty of times the defense changed the look pre snap and he hit the right man based on coverage. saw 1 high looks all game and they played cov 2 where he shredded them over the MOF. to say he can’t see coverage is just wrong. and im not even a jets fan

Not sure what you all are seeing. Yes, some good throws, but overall this team looks like every play is in the ER. Just scrambling, improvising, trying to get away from defensive line that’s manhandling the OL. Zach will get hurt again this year. He’s not able to relax and do his job. He’s wasting energy on every play - anyone else thinking this?
