CHASE! DJI Avata vs DJI Avata 2 | MPB

Custom FPV (first-person view) drones are capable of almost anything, but what can you do with DJI’s ready-made FPV drones?
Amy and the team put the original Avata and the Avata 2 through their paces in this video. Professional FPV pilot Sam Butcher uses all his skills to fly the Avata’s around the track, chasing down Amy in 270CC Go Kart. He takes on hairpin bends, lots of obstacles and even a very low bridge to try and capture the perfect shot and see just how well the drones handle.

Fantastic intro 😄proper chuckle! In fact, the comedy in this video generally is great. Also, 2:16 - my wildlife photography instincts kicking in
I don't have a use case for these myself, but they do look like very fun toys, and the shots you can get with them are something else. Think I possibly saw one being used in a Red Bull ski jump record recently?
Also it looks like the larger sensor of the Avata 2 helps with DR - much more balanced exposure when heading into/out of the tunnel, clipping was much less noticeable

So glad you enjoyed it! Always lovely to see the local wildlife. You really can shoot some exciting shots with FPV drones. I'm not sure if it was an Avata, but definitely an FPV on that ski jump shoot.
The Avata 2 does have some lovely upgrades, but I also think if you're getting started, learning on the original Avata might be a good idea due to the lower cost. Thanks for watching - Amy
