I watched this when I got my looper. Now I watched your videos. They are superb. How you work it all out I don't know, but you're invariably spot on. Thanks from the UK.
There is no doubt that Doug Aldrich puts emotion into his guitar playing. His technique is admirable, and his feelings are expressed in his performance.
One of the greatest guitarists alive. And a SUPER nice guy to boot. Doug has played everything from metal to hard rock to blues to AOR...and all without the benefit of a whammy bar. :)
Doug Aldrich did this awesome loop for the Ditto Looper. How about you? If you’ve made some cool Ditto Loops, then please feel free to share. We would love to hear them!
Doug you are in my top 10 influences love everything you have done. You and John Sykes completely different styles yet brought so much to the table. Would love to know what projects, bands you are in these days. Internet does not tell all
I have heard your break down of all the rock guitar 🎸 player there styles and how they have inspired you bit today was the first time seeing and hearing you play im concerts on you tube I saw a vedio one time where the person talked the years divided up on the history of guitar now this is what I want to tell you if it was me being in a situation where you seen Randy Road I would want to sit and watch you you understand the guitar inside and out you have class and seem to be a good person your awsem dude like the first time I heard Vanhalen your up there and it's not like who is better or number one it your voice you communicating to us fans so when you play or teach or talk history, gear I like listening and I'm sure without a dought other love listing to you your there with the best I'm sure you worked hard and it s give praise when or where praise is due I dig your playing i am learninh some things and from you to help me develop my voice you have an ausem voice and you giving us your knowledge is a blessing thank you...Roland J Gutierrez from Magdalena New Mexico USA 🇺🇸.
How can people say this isn't good? I hope people didn't come to this expecting Doug to just shred all over the place. What he does here is amazing, very laid back, soulful, and melodic. There isn't much more that you can ask out of a blues jam.
Doug is an absolute inspiration for me to get serious about advancing my guitar skills. A "real guitar players player." First caught wind of him on that metal show. I was blown away at what he was able to do with a les paul.
Doug your skill carries a lot of weight with young players. Your a clean and careful player with the right kind of technique.....ready play capable..... I m glad I see guy s that can back it up. Skill and versatility. Better back to the 80s then travelling the 3 gain road for me....... Playing good always makes the difference. Playing well, keeps the young happy. Being a great entertainer...priceless.
Esto es arte, porque transmite y llega al que oye, no es solo tecnica, como cientos de guitarristas tecnicos (rapidos, veloces, con más de 100 tecnicas encima) GRANDE DOUG!
I don't know if the Ditto Loopers have this capability, but I was watching a cover band last week in my local pub and the guitarist, the bassist and the keyboard player all had a looper pedal and they were all linked together. So as one would play a passage and loop it, the others could as well and it was all synced together. I had no idea that you could do that. This is just one guy with one looper. Imagine what a whole band could create.
Hello DOUG, you are wonderfull, Man and 🎸💥And can’t see you with different BANDS : Whitesnake, Ronnie, Reb Beach, Glenn Hughes, Trio, Dead Daisy....my question is: I would like to know witch Person you felt the Best, and have the PLEASURE of playing for HIM? 🎶For me, Dead Daisy, is no Great👎you seem to be the Mainstay of this Band, I LOVE VERY, VERY... Mr 🤘🤘😷😪and YOU🔥💋
I like to think he got that good blues sound from listening to me play his sisters guitar when he was 10 yrs old .Mostly Allman Brothers . I wish he would play more blues in his style .
Love the amp hes using is it a Badger? Suhr products coupled with wonderful technique and great TC Electronics gear makes for some great tone! Keep it coming!
about 2 months ago I bought the boss rc1, I didn't care for the fact that you go straight from record to overdub. what if you don't want to overdub, or if you want to use it in a band setting? so a day or 2 later I bought the ditto(kept the other one, too). at home I will use both of them but when playing with the band I only use the ditto. bottom line, if you can only buy one make sure it's the ditto. great video, btw, this guy can really play.
My ditto looper died after only 20-30 uses. I used the correct power source but still isnt working. The music store I bought it from wont take it back. How do I get this fixed or replaced?
these things are unreal in a very good fx loop, at end of chain, your CLEAN loop patch stays CLEAN< even w/soloing using MASSIVE gain! :) I use a Dumble hi gain amp w/outbrd loop, and intellifex/replifex, n it`s simply STUNNING< can`t live w/o it now! :) I have the ditto XT.. :)
I remember when he was endorsed by Jackson Guitars he has some very cool ones I have the one that has blue flames on it it was so cool. I'm just not a Gibson person can just don't look right and feel like they're ugly as hell.
Em Bm7 Am7...the Bm7 at the 7th and the Am7 at the 5th are played here without the 5th on the A string so you're muting the A string on both those chords.
Doug is simply a superb guitar player. He's got it all man, but most of all he's got awesome feel. Love it.
I watched this when I got my looper. Now I watched your videos. They are superb. How you work it all out I don't know, but you're invariably spot on. Thanks from the UK.
Doug's demo for a loop sounds 100x better than most pop songs on the charts.
Isn't that the truth!!!!
Most?!?!
This is soulful playing with emotion on top. This is how the blues should be expressed. Great job Aldrich.
There is no doubt that Doug Aldrich puts emotion into his guitar playing. His technique is admirable, and his feelings are expressed in his performance.
Shredding with a clean tone...that's some serious skill.
And he doesn't use his pinky finger!
Huh? You always learn to shred clean first before going with gain. or youll get sloppy
Matt Dickey Doug definitely has some serious skill.
neither did Django Reinhardt ;-)
Matt Dickey Tone isn't clean
One of the greatest guitarists alive. And a SUPER nice guy to boot. Doug has played everything from metal to hard rock to blues to AOR...and all without the benefit of a whammy bar. :)
love that jazz/blues style. The same style Dimebag played the Planet caravan solo in.
Then you should say Tony Iommi not Dimebag.
@@mindcontrol67 He probably didn't realize that song was originally a Black Sabbath tune lol..
Doug Aldrich did this awesome loop for the Ditto Looper. How about you? If you’ve made some cool Ditto Loops, then please feel free to share. We would love to hear them!
getting one tomorrow fore sure~!!! watch me!!!!
It was pretty good, Aldrich is such an underrated musician
Amazing! Doug Aldrich is such a great player. Saw him with The Dead Daisies live last week. Absolutly crazy live performance.
Doug Alrdich and a looper. Gives one inspiration to perform better.
SOULFUL as Hell. Doug is a BEAST of a player!

Bravo, Doug! All best wishes. It's always a pleasure to see you.

Dam that's smooth, and from a shredder with a rock setup. Totally stealing this progression to practice over.
Doug is an absolute inspiration for me to get serious about advancing my guitar skills. A "real guitar players player." First caught wind of him on that metal show. I was blown away at what he was able to do with a les paul.
We totally agree! We dig Doug :-)
Marvelous..this is the perfect slow blues for a southern road movie...
This dude is a beast!
Special effect......the hands &soul!!!!!!!!

I am in war with my looper ...always loose....nice to See and hear a win..😁🤘
Preciosa interpretacion!
Surprisingly tasty, nice DA!
Why when using high gain does the loop signal get cut when playing over it? Clean and mild overdrive no problems only higher gain settings
about 2 months ago I bought the boss rc1, I didn't care for the fact that you go straight from record to overdub. what if you don't want to overdub, or if you want to use it in a band setting? so a day or 2 later I bought the ditto(kept the other one, too). at home I will use both of them but when playing with the band I only use the ditto. bottom line, if you can only buy one make sure it's the ditto. great video, btw, this guy can really play.
Thanks so much for the kind words and feedback, Bryan :-D
Does anyone know artists playing similar blues than him in this video? Looking to buy some new records!
ultimatekrabbe Joe Bonamassa
amazing guitarist
Can anyone recommend the amp tone settings to achieve this sound
This is better than anything Whitesnake recorded
Just magical..........!
This should absolutely be turned into a single
Tasteful stuff. Brilliant.
My ditto looper died after only 20-30 uses. I used the correct power source but still isnt working. The music store I bought it from wont take it back. How do I get this fixed or replaced?
WOW....👍👍
i m gonna be a fan of him...
King 👑
that's pure stuff!
R7 with changed tuners I think. Sounds great
sounds great thanks for sharing with us. I love the sound
Proto of "If it's Love" By Burning Rain (2019).
a little reverb makes everthing better!
Is he using two seperate amps? One for the loop and one for the leads?
I see the Suhr amp and cabinet, but what is that he's sitting on?
Awesome doug
Just jammin over 3 chords....what a pukka job!
these things are unreal in a very good fx loop, at end of chain, your CLEAN loop patch stays CLEAN< even w/soloing using MASSIVE gain! :) I use a Dumble hi gain amp w/outbrd loop, and intellifex/replifex, n it`s simply STUNNING< can`t live w/o it now! :) I have the ditto XT.. :)
So very very sweet
I like Doug's play since BAD MOON RISING.
I remember when he was endorsed by Jackson Guitars he has some very cool ones I have the one that has blue flames on it it was so cool. I'm just not a Gibson person can just don't look right and feel like they're ugly as hell.
Great musician👍😃 born in the wrong decade
Can anyone tell me the rythm chords he loops please (:
Basic barred stuff in Em with 1st inversions, so only playing the D, G, and B strings:
Em D C, C D
Em D C, C - (loop)
Thanks :)
PERFECT !!! WANDERFOOLLLLL
Amazing
is it possible to change patch during the loop?
Soooo coooool ❤️
doug is awesome!
What cords did he play ?
Eminor C D C and Repeat
Em Bm7 Am7...the Bm7 at the 7th and the Am7 at the 5th are played here without the 5th on the A string so you're muting the A string on both those chords.
Awesome!
