Can I just say how much I love y'all's analysis of the episodes. Even if you miss some things (watching for the first time, on camera, plus interacting with other people will logically cause you to miss things, people need to chill out about that), your in-depth thinking about the story is so much fun to listen to. I honestly find it so much more engaging than the reactors who just say 'oh wow, that's awesome! Loved it!' and then end the reaction - no more thought put in, no 'I wonder if this is what they're doing, maybe not, but this would be a cool thing to explore' no even slightly more critical analysis like y'all do. It's fun to watch reactors who love and praise every aspect of the show, but it's just as great for me to see people who aren't going to blindly praise something and then end the reaction - I like it when people are going to engage with it. I never feel like you're hating on the show even if you express you don't like aspects of it and really, that makes re-watching the show with you so much more enjoyable.
That means a lot April.

36:30 Watch the documentary 'Robin's Wish', which explains how at the end of his life Robin Williams suffered from Lewy Body Dementia, a really cruel illness that attacks the mind first as memory, logic and language all break down, and then your body control does too. I point this out because when he died we all thought it had been an act of depression, but the truth about his illness came out later, and what you said made me think that maybe you hadn't heard about that part.
Sean's point still remains, though. You gotta check in on your friends, because they might not be telling you everything that's going on.
Sean your rambling at the beginning of this episode even after you said you just wanted watch this episode so reminded me of Paul Reubens' death scene in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992).
The Sheriff is a good guy. Gomez took the rap and wasn't convicted. He thought he got away with it. Once it was shown that the stab wound wasn't what he died from, etc. He let it go.
It was funny when Kinbott (Riki Lindhome) made a face at Morticia and Gomez making out, after some of the songs she has sung as part of Garfunkel and Oates.
She was pretty risque in Another Period.
The woman who cowrote "The Loophole" shouldn't even flinch at that.
Fun fact: The actor who played Gomez later played the Riddler in the Batman tv series and the actress who played Morticia played a villainess in the same TV series. I thought it was pretty sexy when Morgan mentioned" Gomez murdering that (lady part) at Nevermore" or "Gomez murdering Morticia's (lady part)" in the first viewing.
There are niggles I have with the show despite enjoying it a great deal. Thanks for the review.

Maybe morticia shouldn't have told one of only like 3 black people in this show he doesn't know what it's like to not be listened to lol , between this and the only Asian character being named yoko u can tell tim Burton made this lol. Don't get me wrong men in power are Fuckers but it feels like how in stranger things they completely ignore racism in the 80's and redeem the only racist charachter but the new sheriff is black so it's okay to the writers lol

Yeah that line hit weird for me. Like, writers are playing lip service to anti sexism but not anti racism... It shows that maybe it was written originally before the parts were cast. It would've played better if after Morticia's line, "you have no idea what it's like to not be believed," the mayor said something like, "I have some idea." Didn't need much, but it would've helped it play out better. Just sloppy execution
@@SarahRichardsGraba yeah I know that the writers mean well and it might make sense if the script came before the actors , but stuff like how everyone being an outcast is basically a metaphor for being LGBT or different races but having actual monsters muddies the metaphor like the werewolf conversion thing , it's the same problem with zootopia and xmen lol
