These cheap coffee makers are awesome. I don’t know why people waste money on keurigs. Even if you want just one cup of coffee you can brew it right there in the same cheap coffee maker
Going to clean mine right now. My husband had to go buy coffee this morning before work. I was able to half of cup if coffee for my self, he told he's uncle use to do what you are doing. Thank you.
I brought pure premium coffee from Costa Rica to my coworkers and this was the procedure I had to make to the coffe maker at the brake room in order to make sure they could enjoy the flavor, they loved it.
I can agree, but I think once it gets opened back up with the vinegar that everything is going through and nothing is getting stuck. So it is irrelevant if the water is clean or not as the vinegar keeps working every time. That coloration or dirty water is a combination of coffee stain and water minerals and it is what we are drinking in the water and in the coffee and builds up little by little from the heat and evaporation. After a while the water deposits block the water from getting through as fast and that is what the vinegar is for. I have since replaced my coffee maker as this one was a $30 coffee maker and I had it about 10 years or more. No matter what, any coffee maker I have will eventually take forever and I will have to clean it with this method. If you want to change the water every time I think you should do that. I usually run the vinegar 3 or more times and then start flushing with just clean water.
Hey, thanks! I was wondering whether the solution went through twice or it got dumped and more vinegar/water solution was called for. Finally, an answer! Thanks again.
rlfrost that’s how I do it, then I change the filter run the same hot piping water, I also just run it with all vinegar then twice with water to rinse it out. I do this once a month, coffee taste so much better after cleaning and the aroma is back 😋☕️
I'm doing this now. I was thinking I needed to take the coffee pot apart to unclog the hose. What do you do if the buttons get stuck? Thanks. Thanks for sharing!
and..bonus... if you pour vinegar into the metal base, and let it sit for a day, that metal will look like new and be rust free. Just be sure to wash it with water after and give it a light oiling then wipe off.
And how about the Real hard Paart? Cleaning the Warming Plate with all that Burned On Coffee Drippings? DO oyu Soften it up with Vinegar and then Scrape if off with a Reg. Dinner Knife? or what? Tried Baking Soda and still had to scrape it off ..
I didn't usually clean that part except to sweep off the loose particles. It is mostly rust as far as I can tell. You might try some light sand paper and let it dry out. Not real sure about this part. I would expect it is a hot plate so that may help the research.
Selna Goodhead for me the paint has come off the warming plate so half of it is rust. I use a Magic eraser for my warming plate. Since its rust I can only do so much. If your warming plate is stainless steel, I would use a non gel regular toothpaste. I find that works best for chrome, and stainless steel. Just rub the paste on dry with your finger and then wipe away with a damp cloth. The grit found in the toothpadte should be enough.
I used to run four cups of fresh water after every coffee run but it never did anything. No wonder coffee tasted horrible. Told my co worker to clean the inside I was done scrubbing lol. How do you get the gunk off the bottom?
Curious if you can just put straight vinegar in and then start it and when it starts processing, shut it off and let the vinegar sit in the lines for some time and then start it up again.
Hey i tried mine i think a big piece got stuck or something as only a few drops came out hopefully this did not brake my machine :( going to try to run it again in a min.
It worked! i think it was a piece stuck as i let it sit a bit and then tried again and those black specks came out and it is now running clean. thanks again.
I used air pressure to blow it out and was successful. Air compressor with a blow tool. Once the hard water deposits get in where you can't access there is not much you can do.
Oops I did 100 percent vinegar on a two sided coffee maker. No wonder why it took so long to get rid of the smell I flushed it like four times each side lol
Will the vinegar completely disinfect the coffee maker internally? I have a roach infestation in my apartment and I found one inside my coffee maker water tank.
Vinegar is a mild acid. Although I would recommend replacement in your case, I think that you first might need to rectify the problem. In my experience, roaches are after 3 things, food, water, and shelter. This may be the reason you found one in the water reservoir. Especially, if you have been eliminating those 3 things. I would think that a little bit stronger vinegar solution than 50/50 would be called for, but still would not use straight vinegar. I think wiping what you can and then running as many solutions as you can stand through it would be not enough, but you will probably survive. Good Luck.
The only problem for me is that my apartment building (and my entire town) has calcium deposits in the water. The very water is the reason for my coffee maker getting backed up.
If your coffee maker is really blocked up... I recommend not using as much vinegar. I used a lot & my coffee maker broke from the pressure created from the junk coming loose (I'm assuming)
I really don't think it matters as it's in the cleaning process. Keep in mind all that came out so that is what your "clean" water is going by every day.
Why not only use DISTILLED water in your coffee maker? Distilled water does not produce scale and so the coffee maker never needs to be cleaned. I've been using my coffee maker for years and its in perfect condition.
No I wouldn't. I am sure it would not hurt to put a little bit if you mix like a 10 to 1 ratio. The vinegar is a mild acid that breaks down the minerals that block the small holes. You are not disinfecting, you are just opening the holes so it will make coffee faster.
These cheap coffee makers are awesome. I don’t know why people waste money on keurigs. Even if you want just one cup of coffee you can brew it right there in the same cheap coffee maker
Agreed....and keurigs are often running to keep water warm, I think. I like old school makers like this...even for one cup
I love a budget minded man lol .....
Absolutely....coffe is better too!
Great instructions. The only mod was i used a clean filter to catch the junk to feel better about reusing the water
Going to clean mine right now. My husband had to go buy coffee this morning before work. I was able to half of cup if coffee for my self, he told he's uncle use to do what you are doing.
Thank you.
My dad taught me this a long time ago. It truly works great and makes a big difference in speed plus taste.
Yes it does!
I brought pure premium coffee from Costa Rica to my coworkers and this was the procedure I had to make to the coffe maker at the brake room in order to make sure they could enjoy the flavor, they loved it.
I had no idea, how to properly clean my coffee maker. This helped me so much. I’m going to go do it right now! Lol Thank you, so much for the video!
Glad I could help!
I tried it with baking soda and vinegar definitely clean up my coffee maker like a new coffee maker
Thanks cuz I have to show my caretaker how to do this my late husband used to do this for me so I'm so thankful for this 👌🏾Rachel
Thank you, just did this to my espresso machine, only I used a 25% vinegar solution because it was all the vinegar I had left, but still worked fine 🙂
I just looked this up and was like "Wow, he's got the EXACT same coffee maker as me. Not just the brand but the model as well' 😂 Thanx
Oh wow!
I HAVE THE SAME ONE TOO 😂😂
Mine too! I just did this earlier and hopefully my coffee tastes better tomorrow morning
Just cleaned mine. Basically the same as I did it once before, but your method is really simple. I love it! I subscribed to your RUclips. Thanks!
Thanx for the vid. I wouldn't run the same dirty vinegar water twice, a new batch of the cleaning solution would be way better.

You could use a paper filter to trap the deposits and rerun the same vinegar ...

Very easy to use and love the ease of versatility between full pot or single pods
Very nice
Try it today worked beautifully, much appreciated from.Houston,Texas,tx
great
Thanks man you saved my life. Well I at least get 20 minutes back by not waiting for my coffee every morning
Just cleaned my coffee maker! Thanks!
thank you! I have the same exact coffee maker, and this was a big help!
Simple and to the point...great video! ☕🙂👍
Thanks so much! 😊
Watched a few of these and yours is the best! Thank you!!
Thank you!
Thanks so much. I bought my first coffee maker, thanks for those tips!! ☕️
Hey. I'm using g the same publix vinegar!
but why would you rerun that dirty coffee vinegar mix back through the machine? Before there was never any coffee in the chamber
Bembee E I was thinking the same
I'm doing this now. I was thinking I needed to take the coffee pot apart to unclog the hose. What do you do if the buttons get stuck? Thanks. Thanks for sharing!
You sir are a life saver God bless you, from the uk
thank you very much for the information. great video! right to the point.
Hey just tried it on mine... And it worked... Thanks so much 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My coffee maker had a mildew smell to it and this got it right out!
nice

Will try that.
Excellent job
Worked like a charm! Thanks
Thank you for posting!
Thanks, now my coffee taste better!! 😃
Wow, running it four times to make it clean!
Very helpful, thank you.
This is very helpful thank you
thanks amigo. I'm going to-do now
Will do. Thanks for your posting.
Vinegar is magic
dogeymon83 isn't it though!!! I agree
I can't seem to catch any flies with it.
True, I use it to clean glass and mirrors now instead of Windex.

You are so welcome!
I used to run four cups of fresh water after every coffee run but it never did anything. No wonder coffee tasted horrible. Told my co worker to clean the inside I was done scrubbing lol. How do you get the gunk off the bottom?
Not sure, but I wasn't worried about that as much as getting it to make coffee faster.
Curious if you can just put straight vinegar in and then start it and when it starts processing, shut it off and let the vinegar sit in the lines for some time and then start it up again.
I would not use straight vinegar as I would think it may damage the plastic. Not sure.
What about cleaning the hot plate base that keeps coffee warm?
I believe once it has rusted it won't clean up like new. It can be sanded down and wiped clean, but I think will always be rusty.
Very good
I only had apple cider vinegar on hand. Good luck
Thanks quick & easy.
Great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey i tried mine i think a big piece got stuck or something as only a few drops came out hopefully this did not brake my machine :( going to try to run it again in a min.

Coffee quicker is always better.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for help me 🇧🇷
thank you
My coffee maker will come on. My problem is water will not come down the hose and go into the pot. What can I do?
I used air pressure to blow it out and was successful. Air compressor with a blow tool. Once the hard water deposits get in where you can't access there is not much you can do.
Thanks very helpful
Thank you for this video!
Thank you. Mine was looking oily
Glad I could help
I have a similar Mr.Coffee machine and unfortunately, a lemon seed got stuck which drastically slowed it down.
Will this method remove the seed?
I doubt it. I would think the seed would have to be dug out or poked through somehow. If the water is going through, it might be worth a try though.
Dude, I love you!
Thank u.
Thanks a lot 👍😁
When can you start using your machine again after cleaning it this way?
Immediately. Definitely run clean water through a time or two first.
I just cleaned mine, how long do I wait to use it again?
As long as you rinse it a few times you can drink right away. I don't think the vinegar residue will hurt you, but it sure doesn't taste that good.
Thanks. Now, to borrow some of that vinegar.....(=
Oops I did 100 percent vinegar on a two sided coffee maker. No wonder why it took so long to get rid of the smell I flushed it like four times each side lol
Have to flush several times
Thanks that I as helpful!!!!
Thumbs up!

Yes, exactly. Just have to clean it every once in a while. Then eventually replace, but usually this will work to get through until then
Kool thank you 😊
You should use an empty filter
Vinegar is the best.
has many uses
Always use DISTILLED WATER!!
It's getting there ...
just a get by.
Thanks
If your coffee maker is really blocked up... I recommend not using as much vinegar. I used a lot & my coffee maker broke from the pressure created from the junk coming loose (I'm assuming)
Interesting. I guess it is possible. Good to do it several times and each time will get a little more clean.
Yep, that killed mine.
Thank you very much!!!
How often must one do this?
You can probably do it as often as you need to. When you notice that the coffee takes a long time to finish, then it's time to do it.
Why pour the water that's obviously dirty, back into the coffee maker.
I really don't think it matters as it's in the cleaning process. Keep in mind all that came out so that is what your "clean" water is going by every day.
Wierd. First video I find its the exact coffee maker I have.
Hi
Won’t the pot taste like vinegar tho
We did not experience any after taste. Put clean water through several times after the vinegar.
Epic
Jajaja i have the same coffee maker
Why not only use DISTILLED water in your coffee maker? Distilled water does not produce scale and so the coffee maker never needs to be cleaned. I've been using my coffee maker for years and its in perfect condition.
Can i put clorox instead of vinegar?
No I wouldn't. I am sure it would not hurt to put a little bit if you mix like a 10 to 1 ratio. The vinegar is a mild acid that breaks down the minerals that block the small holes. You are not disinfecting, you are just opening the holes so it will make coffee faster.
Adolf ....Do not use Clorox , only vinegar or lemon juice , Clorox is a poison vinegar and lemon juice are not...
I wash out my coffee cups with Clorox, rinsing is the key. Rinse until you no longer smell the Clorox....
But, I think the vinegar is a better choice.
Don’t use tap water in a coffee maker
agreed
:D
Great video. Thank you!
