The true measure of legacy is how you are remembered as a human being… Bill Walton is a Hall of Fame NBA member, but to hear the out-pouring from all that knew him, as an one of a kind man is the true measure of exactly what he was all about. The lofty praises that are pouring out from all that either played or worked with him, have moved my soul. It makes me want to work oh, so much harder, on my own legacy. You were a Prince Bill, and you left one hell of a legacy❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I loved watching Bill win a title with the Celtics, and then hearing him call the games later in life... nobody was more entertaining on the mic than him, you never knew what was going to come out of his mouth. But he was so enthusiastic, he made you feel like you were having a good time just listening to him. RIP Legend!

That was really well said malika at the end, to me Bill had the spirit of a child he had a innocents to him that he was just living and happy to be involved he was authentic and he was himself regardless of what everyone else thought. Its a sad day. Sometimes we take people for granted or are annoyed by them until we know we wont ever see them again and wish they were there to annoy us more then anything.

A fellow deadhead. He captures the Dead in his 30 for 30. It was the surge. The band could change impact immediaitely at a show. No one has ever done that. I like Bill saw many Dead shows. My brother who passed last week was also a Deadhaed and we played Dead music at his funeral. Iam sure they are together in heaven.

What a player only saw 2 people block a Kareem skyhook walton and Chamberlain 77 NBA finals game 6 against Philly 20 pts 23 reb 7 ass 8 blks I know because I watched it that team was really good maybe players today should watch and learn how it's done bill was 86-4 in three yrs at UCLA saw them lose to Notre Dame breaking 88 game win streak that's right 88 I'm the luckiest guy in the world it's so sad when the greatest have to leave us those great eras gone forever RIP

RIP, Bill. Kareem and Reggie Miller have been eloquent in praise of Bill, as representatives of Bruin Nation. But I haven't seen a peep from Kiki Vandeweghe, another great Bruin of the era. As a fan, I think of that era as the Kareem - Vandeweghe - Miller succession, but without overlap I had assumed they were close, as Bruins and Southern California guys. Maybe I am wrong.

People don't realize how insanely good he was.. minus the injuries he's the third greatest center of all time behind Wilt and Kareem. He was like if Larry Bird were two inches taller and a center. In a full healthy career he's probably something like 18000 pts, 15000 reb, 5000 assists, 3000-3500 blocks, and 1200-1500 steals. And probably could score more than that if he really wanted to. He probably picks up another MVP or two than just the one. And the Trail Blazers are probably a dynasty for 15 years challenging Houston and LA every year for best in the west. Would have been epic.

When a big sports personality passes away it never ceaseses to amaze me how many people both men and women try to step into the memorial game. Using his passing to promote yourself. Look, if you are a young broadcaster and a legend passes away that was way before your time, let his contemporaries or people who had a personal connection to him speak about him. Malika Andrews makes me sick. I could care less about what you have to say about Bill Walton or any other NBA subject for that matter. You have shown yourself to be someone who does not respect people who have actually played the sport.
