Hey Julia!
I was laid off from my dream job almost a year ago, before finally landing an exciting new role at my new company.
My experience is going to different than yours, but with that being said here are things I did well while being unemployed :
- Did things that make me happy.
(Write music, do art, work on my own video games, chat with friends that support me)
- I was honest with myself about employers.
(We all need money, so I tried to make sure that if I’m gonna work somewhere, it better atleast treat with me respect, regardless of pay)
-Focus on my mental and physical health. Being unemployed gave me the opportunity to focus on what factors in my life were sucking the joy out of it. This could be friends, food, work habits, house cleanliness, etc.
Being unemployed sucked for me because I’m not like a millionaire and barely had enough savings to keep me a float. That being said, I refused to let the situation get the better of me and tried pushing myself to still see the beauty in life. Capitalism is a construct, my life isn’t.
All my personal experience aside, you seem to have a really kind heart and cool relaxing presence.(Judging from the content on RUclips you also produce, you are hard working.) I feel confident things are gonna work out for you. I hope to see you continue find and share the joy in life while going through this moment.

Julia, don't worry this too shall pass! Did you file for unemployment? Even though they will probably give you a couple months of pay, unemployment can go for up to a year at a time, so it's a good idea. I hesitated, because I got a good exit package, but I regretted that hesitation later on when the exit package ran out and then I was broke for a few weeks because I hadn't filed for unemployment 😲 but yeah, you'll find something soon! I know you will 🙂

As for me, you must find a job that includes what you are doing now, or start looking for a job and see if you find a job that's great ,and if you didn't that's ols okay .

Even if you got laid off keep your head up! I was fired twice in one year, bc they said that „gen z are hopping jobs every one to two years, so it shouldn’t be too bad for you right?“ Uhm what did he just say? It’s making me angry thinking back.
Jobs aren’t stable as everyone tells us. It is frustrating but you will get through it 🫶🏽
Looking back now it was for good. I wasn’t happy and I took the time to figure out what makes me happy. Take your time 🫶🏽
