What a great video! You really know how to get the best runs even when the lfrd is one of the busiest running day events. I just don't bother to go because of the crowds haha. Lovely bus too, sounds devine 😎
Seems like the big man himself wasted no time uploading a video from the LFRD 🔥🔥🔥🔥. This bus defo sounds good even without the kickdown!!!! But other than that, the event was amazing overall. Which one did u like the most? The one in 2022, 2023 or this year. Anyways, W video bro!!!!
Of course! Yeah man that’s the thing with Voith, sound is always there regardless! Hard choice!… I think I’ll go for last year, seeing that TA648 in action for the first time blew my mind! So I’ll say action wise, last year, but this year I’m a lot more impressed with the variety of buses! Thanks bro 🔥
@Frozzles No problem!!! I'm glad to hear that u enjoyed it. It was my first time coming to this event, and I was planning on getting DLD697 LK55KLM, but that bus broke down again like it did back in 2022 and it didn't even last for a full run 😞😞😞. The driver left East Grinstead 5 minutes early before I even got there 😒😒
Ermm, honestly sound wise they can be very… very similar in sound! The way I notice is what I’d say is the biggest difference where the Volvo engines have a much deeper, bassy sound rather than the Euro 3 Cummins engine being a bit more raw and “out there” if that makes sense. (Cummins are used in the Tridents) As for the gearbox, they are more or less the same so there’s not much to differentiate there other than the fact the Volvos used the more high-torque, short-geared gearbox as opposed to the tridents. As for axles/diff they are very similar, since they both use the Voith gearbox the linkage between the rear axle and the gearbox will not be much different! I hope this helps 💙
Sounds so nostalgic. Great video 💪🏾
Agreed, thanks!
Used to use this bus on the 140 a long time ago it feels like it’s ancient but got amazing speed still. Nice one
Yeah I remember seeing this batch around too!
Thanks
I do love the NLC buses with their airhorns, I had VLW85 for a run and the driver made very good use of it 😂😂
He completely f***ed VLW85😂😂
I’m surprised I still have ears honestly 🤣🤣
All jokes aside though yeah VLW85 was put to work😅
@@Frozzles I was hanging on for dear life 🤣🤣
@@will_n775 That literally broke down when it got back to Godstone ☠️

@@Frozzles Definitely I enjoyed myself
@ChilternTransportProductionsYeah it was a nice surprise meeting you for the first time 😊
Ooh presidents! Reminds me of my childhood but mine were tridents! Nice video! Banger As usual!
I can relate, although I was exposed to more of a mix between both the B7s and the Tridents! Thanks man!
Almost sounds like a Euro 2 Trident with a bit Volvo Olympian thrown in and goes well too.
I’m sure some may agree!
@@Frozzles It's probably the humming fan that's making it sound like that.
Bro dropped Another banger lowish had some quick drivers Icl
Cmon now 🤞🏾 Yeah there’s always the quick few 😎
Jarred I couldn't come but this is a wicked bus and a wicked video keep up the certi content Frozzles 💪🏾🔥

Thank you bro, yeah it gets me wondering as well! 🤣
I love the sound of the second gear of Voith Volvo B7TLs!
Yeah very melodic!

I kinda find it hard to differentiate between the sounds of a trident a b7tl? Any tips to do so?? - much appreciated 😊
