I've seen other RUclipsrs try this kind of thing, but none hold a candle to VLDL. Not just production value, either. It's the writing and good comedic acting that makes VLDL platinum, not dirt.
Mugging the audience of their time is f-ing brilliant. Love the writers for this show. Of the actors too and i think some are one in the same. Love all yall making this possible.

For the boar hearts episode, the best explanation I've ever heard is when you kill the beasts, sometimes their bodyparts were so ruined by the battle or the atempted extraction during looting that they are no longer usable. Doesn't make 100% sense in a lot of cases but it's the best explanation I've ever heard.

I had to kill so many foxes in Horizon Zero Dawn to get the Golden Fast Travel pack. I just needed one Fox Hide, yet I had to kill like 10 foxes. Why do none of these foxes have a hide? Are they skeleton foxes?

Ah, I understand the confusion. You see, pixiejewels is a bard, and part of the bard class perks, you get a 5GP discount on all items when you reach level 8. It just so happened that the cheese in game costs 4GP, so it resulted in the price being 0. Now there used to be an exploit back when shops had infinite items, where you can just buy as much cheese or other incredibly cheap item, like arrows, for free as long as you bought 1 at a time. (Or however many that equals 5GP or less) But they patched this by putting a hard limit on what shops can hold, as well as the "ire" stat if you buy too many items for 0GP too frequently, which jacks up the prices of all items for that shop by a percentage with each "offense". I understand why they done this, but I miss having a mountain of cheese in my keep. Ah, the good old days.

I even showed my wife (who runs the game development, motion graphics and animation departments at a college in Austin, Texas) and she burst out laughing several times. Confusing as hell when you switch between them though. I remember when it wasn't optional and different games did it differently, not to mention there being no "standard" set of controls between games of the same genre (example the "attack" button being different in basically every game). Having to retrain all your instincts when switching games was a nightmare.

My 'Core Mechanic' moment was when I played Skyrim for the first time. Was also new to the whole open world style game and didn't realize that fast travel was a thing. I feel like there is potential for a skit between Rowan and Ben of them arguing so much that they want to come to blows, Ben tries to get Rowan to follow him out of town because the town is a non-combat zone.

My 'Core Mechanic' moment was when I played Skyrim for the first time. Was also new to the whole open world style game and didn't realize that fast travel was a thing. I made waaaay too many trips between Whiterun and the College of Winterhold before I clued in. Got lots of mats/experience footing it both ways though lol
Only crossed my mind now that in the speedrun one, greg is apparently a core npc in the main story quest and not just a meager starting town sidebitch!
