I absolutely love Loonie and how she breaks almost every expectation for a woman at the time. Her appearance, her complete disregard for authority, her agency, and the fact that she does whatever she wants without care. She is my most favorite one time appearance on the show.

I LOVED THIS EPISODE! It was soooooo good. This little woman with Hoss was a good pair up with the stroy line. She reminds me of someone I met before, who does'nt lie but pays attention to the question and how its worded before anwsering.
There's a story about a guy who was drafted. He was on a flight before he shipped out. His seatmate was Dan Blocker. Dan asked if he wanted a beer. The kid turned him down because he wasn't old enough, Dan said, "I didn't ask if you could have a beer, I asked if you wanted one" so the kid drank it. Dan talked about his experiences in Korea and told the kid to look him up when he got back home. The kid did get back home and was devastated when the news broke that day...
When I was four or five years old when the parents used Sunday eve to have family night. It was variety, Lawrence Welk and Bonanza. I am having a great time catching up on the episodes I missed. I love it!
That’s the absolutely cutest and funniest 😂 movie 🍿 that I believe I’ve ever seen. I had never heard of the actress Glenda Farrell but she was such a great actress in the role of Looney. 😅😅😅
I think so too. I love the actress and I love the character. The producers should’ve made her a regular on the show. She would’ve been a great addition to the boring cast of Virginia City.
Yes, I found that funny as well as the part where Joe just covered HOSS'S face with his hat when he was sitting in the chair sleeping with his mouth gaping open! Funny stuff!
I really want to live in this time in America , and then go to see Pernell, Dan, Michael and Lorne...good actors.. I miss then always. So sad that they are dead😪
I always found the character of Adam to always have an annoyingly arrogant and smug attitude especially in serious situations involving his brothers. In this case, he's getting his jollies from Hoss's situation with his Spring Fever. While humorous it is in a way, Adam getting happy about it can sometimes question if he'll ever learn that his "unique" attitude will always bite him in the ass and has too.
Dag burnit It's over and a very good episode. Now we see why the Bonanza show had no chance without the Hoss character. Dan Blocker was the best part of it all 😇
i have watched Bonanza seasons 3 times, on my fourth its funny how so many episodes i do not remember ever watching them. They do not make shows for TV anymore like back then.
The sheriff is the same actor who played the merchant who brought the tribbles in star trek "the trouble with tribbles" . I thought he looked familiar.
He also played Otis Campbell's brother in an episode of Andy Griffith. Thanks for mentioning the Tribble episode of Star Trek! Ha ha. Forgot about that.
My son is about 6'3", and big, though not with the kind of girth that Hoss had. Works on a farm and is kind hearted, though not an intellectual powerhouse. So he does remind me of Hoss a bit.
Enjoyable episode, watch again and spot a hick up at end with hoss he passes the chair. Then it cuts back before chair where he falls and breaks bottle
@@AndrewVelonis It would be funny if Star Trek had a time traveling episode where all the Cartwrights ended up on the Enterprise and Spock and Adam had debates about logic and science while James and Ben discussed what it was like to be in charge of so many men while sipping brandy. Actually, they tried to keep him with Sheriff Coffee on the pretense that Hoss was needed there, but Hoss "got away" when the sheriff went to get his hand attended to.
Fun episode, except for that sheriff of Red Rock. His laziness is irritating - but his utterly parochial view of outsiders makes me want to never leave my home again; for fear of running into someone in charge like him.
