@@amirmatthews7385They are the warriors that the armor made with his own hands. Masterfully crafted to guard him. While the Grey Knights were his way of trying to think of a solution to make up for the horus heresy where almost half of the space marines were corrupted.

Is kinda of wild to know that my favourite 40k character Iskandar Khayon once defeated and killed 5 of these guys by himself after being ambushed by them and only walking away with a broken arm and some fractured ribs.
He took down a primarch too
The gray knights may be shielded in faith, but Iskandar is protected by plot armour.

no wonder GW took down the trials of draigo, considering i can never look at a GK terminator talking about purity without giggling again.

There aren't many artistic depictions of the chaos gods themselves. They are explained as being "too horrid to look at" without dying on site, or something like that.

Yes and no.
What you see here is a Great Unclean One, not Nurgle per se. They can be considered as bigger versions of the smaller Nurglings. The reason why it's a little ambiguous is that both Nurglings and Great Unclean Ones are shaped after Nurgle's image and behaviour. In a way, Nurgle is the biggest, most powerful, dirtiest and "kindest" of the Great Unclean Ones, an example they all aspire to.

@@randomenvelope daemons are not fully separate entities from their patron god, they’re like the metaphysical equivalent of if you had a 30 foot long hair growing out of your back, and you wove the other end of it into a small doll, and the doll magically came to life and started acting on its own in a way that suited your interests, but you weren’t personally consciously controlling it. It’s a part of you, no one would argue that it’s a completely separate being, but it’s also not YOU as a whole, it’s its own being that’s also a part of you and inextricably bound to you.
A great unclean one is a shard of nurgle that is sapient enough to emulate their father, and nurgle is generally aware of their doings, but they’re their own debatably sapient consciousness, bound by their nature to further nurgle’s interests.
They’re close enough to nurgle himself that the nurglings tend to love and dote on them as if they were nurgle, but they aren’t him. Nurgle essentially cannot ever manifest into real space, there’s EXTREMELY few occurrences of the chaos gods actually directly manifesting themselves into the materium because of how much energy it takes and how much it ‘stretches’ reality. It basically rips reality apart when they do, and the last time khorne fucked around and managed to slip partly into reality for a microsecond when the choral device was destroyed, he only managed to make a single swing of his axe, but it shattered a planet and caused a mad bloodrage curse to possess near every person in the entire system, turning them into psychotic murder-zombies basically, and the curse then spread over the psychic waves from the device and infected most of an entire crusade fleet.
Well it's not exactly Nurgle, just merely an avatar of Nurgle. You know that Great Unclean Ones are basically modeled after Nurgle's image and powers, but it doesn't mean that they are as "powerful" as he is. Nurgle may be larger, dirtier, kinder and even more fearsome than those avatars.

If they really fought nurgle they would experience what happened to the death guard and become corrupted no way even 4 gray knights can take a chaos god. Unless it let's them beat it.
I doubt it's Nurgle since it would imply that they went to the immaterium and very few were there and survived
