    The scariest thing about the Tyranids is any strategy that is used against them will usually only work once. They can adapt to everything from tactics used in single combat to military strategies that span several star systems Every time you hurt the Hive Mind in any way it calculates how it can prevent that happening again. Every bolter that is fired, every deployment of troops and order given on a ship’s bridge is data that the Hive Mind is gathering and connecting together to defeat you.
    You constantly have to one up your own strategy of dealing with them and unlike you they don’t have to think about anything but war, and they have direct control over every single resource that they own.

    I've said it before, and i'll keep saying it: The Tyranids are the single worst threat the Galaxy has ever faced.
    The Silent King witnessed the heart of the swarm.
    After 60 million years of exile, having witnessed a war that tore the skies of old asunder, he witnessed the swirling, unending mass of uncreation that is the core of the all-life devouring horde, and after 60 million years of exile, eons of shame, for the first time in forever, he felt _afraid._
    Not a thing will halt their advance.
    The swarm is coming, _war,_ is coming.

      @@blackfalkon4189 You are aware that the Tyranids also have their own nightmare fuel, including but not limited to: worms that function as gut bacteria for their ships, bugs they use as ammunition so that they consume the target from the inside, bioplasma, acid, literal xenomorph stuff, and psychological torture? Drukhari don't want to do much, the amount of damage they deal is miniscule on the galactic scale. Tyranids, however, can and will attempt to replicate Drukhari techniques on a planetary or bigger scale if it is the best path to victory.

      I'm very very new to this, so please cirrect me if I'm wrong but right now I understand it like this:
      A Genestealer infiltrates a planet, makes some life forms on that planet stronger by giving them genes and turning them into hybrids, so they worship him for the power he's given to them. Also he manipulates them with psychic shenanigans. Their worshipment amplifies the Gebestealers psychic power and with enough worshippers he can act as a psychic beacon for the swarm. The Hybrids think they are gonna become one with the swarm when it arrives but their individuality is useless for the swarm, so the swarm just kills them and harvests their biomass and genes to create new obedient creatures that aren't hindered by a mind of their own but that still are adapted to the planet by using the hybrids genes... so in a twisted way the hybrids did become part of the Swarm, nice :D

If we assume that it is spherical and composed of 1km long ships flying in an extremely close formation with only 10km space between ships, that gives us around 4.5×10^53 ships. Of course, this is completely absurd because, assuming tyranids have the density of water, this would give the tyranids a combined mass of around 10000 times the high estimate for entire visible universe. The fleet would collapse into itself immediately.

    • @CaptainFirespitter
      @CaptainFirespitter 5 лет назад +5

      SpaghettiToaster here’s the thing: it’s already confirmed in the lore that the Tyranids have consumed the majority of the universe already, The Milky Way is just one of the few that remain untouched.
      And they are supposed to be the true biggest threat to the entire universe (with the rumour that they may actually be fleeing from a supposed even BIGGER threat behind them, but it’s speculation), so it’d take all the factions uniting to hope to make an effective stand against them.
      And btw, I don’t disagree with your comment (hell, love the math behind it!), But uh...
      40k isn’t the kind of setting you take seriously. 😅

      SpaghettiToaster oh, and technically they wouldn’t exactly be 10km together, they’re actually a few light years apart and stretched into separate fleets, but all serve the collective whole.
      And many of those strands are actually tiny fleets that would still be thousands of ships strong.
      If the Nids were already fully clustered like you said in the math, The Galaxy would’ve already been consumed.
