All my "loose" rounds are on stripper clips. The beauty is carrying bulk loose VS stripper clips.
There's cardboard boxes that you can put the stripper clips loaded. Which can be carried in a banalier

@The Reloading Craft found them on the web. Its been awhile, but I think I got them from a gun club (Gun Brokers).

You need to get a StripLULA. It's like a loading spoon on steroids.
I found that it helps when reusing the clips. Also a little tip to extend the life of the little tabs, don't bend them the full 90°, 45° is more than enough to retain them.

I love the idea of stripper clips. I bought a bunch a couple of years ago but wasn't sure if it was a good way to store ammo. Sounds like all things being equal, it's just as good as cardboard in cans. Only issue I have is I can't ID the ammo after I put it in strippers and through away the boxes. No big deal for people who purchase 1000s of rounds at a time, but I get whatever brass cased 5.56 is a good deal at the time, so if something sucks, I don't know which ammo it was.

I love stripper clips. And I also hate them.
Reason 1 for loving them: they're a super easy way for me to mark my handloads.
Reason 2 for loving them: They're super convenient for reloading mags, with an unbeatable price tag.
Reason 1 for hating them: my first clip fed rifle was a mosin, and rimfired stripper clips have an obnoxious learning curve. Especially if you're shooting with somebody who has zero knowledge.
Reason 2 I hate them: any time I try to buy bulk 5.56 stripper clips for reloading my AR mags with a loading spoon... the person I'm talking to ALWAYS says "it's a mag, not a clip". Everybody from forums and comments to gun show booths and FFLs. Amd rather than going "oh, you actually knew what you were asking for. I apologize for thinking you were stupid", they always go "Well, you should have explained that you wanted clips for loading your mags with a spoon before asking if we had 5.56 stripper clips for sale. Be more specific next time."
I love them. But I also hate them.

@@thereloadingcraft Im glad you enjoyed it. But for real, try calling a couple local FFLs. Theres been a MAJOR overcorrection on clip v mag.
Every time I ask, they talk down to me and incorrectly correct me.

The time you took to load that stripper clip you could have put them in your magazine if you buy the Winchester bullets they already come on the Strip clip , they still don't go into the magazines very easily

Smooth brain you’re supposed to load them on the clips before you need fast reloads not while you’re in the middle of shooting

Yes, but I don't want to buy 200 magazines.
