For those watching and planning on doing this job. It is 100% not necessary to remove the front axles. The passenger mount can come out the front with the removal of a clip holding a power steering line on. The driver's mount can come out the back with the removal of the steering column. That sounds scary but its tiny and its just one bold and it slides out and then when you're done replacing the mounts, it slides back on. Go slow and careful and you can do it. I just did my 2010 4Matic on the ground with jack stands.
