Alito is rightly in the news and should recuse himself. I'm concerned that too many have forgotten the grave concerns about Thomas, whose wife was directly involved in efforts to overthrow the nation. We should never mention Alito without mentioning Thomas and vice versa. Both should recuse. If they aren't willing to recuse, it seems Roberts should do all he can to pressure them to do so.

Not the only one to cry when they hear SCOTUS decisions. Every jurist can smell the taint and knows something Is off. The Chief Justice has a duty to address the problem or face impeachment. The answer is for at least two Justices to retire to save the Court from facing impeachment proceeding that will scar the reputation of the court for the foreseeable future.

FIrst reported in the Boston Globe, and later in the Ledger November 3, 2005, I read that in college (Princeton), Alito gave a staunch defense of privacy and gay rights urging legalization of sodomy. He was marrried to the law librarian Mrs. Alito at age 35. What happened? No privacy for women? I don't understand. What changed his mind about privacy?

I have to once again bring up the Magna Carta. The basic premise behind the Magna Carta was that neither King nor Monarch is above the law. The U.S. founding fathers modeled the constitution after the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta is still used and referred to by political leaders. The U.S. Bar still recognizes the Magna Carta for its importance. Granted, we do not have a king or monarch in the U.S.. We have a president and he is our leader. He carries the same responsibilities. Just because the title (President) is absent in the wording, the simple fact remains that NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW. It is implied without using assumptions that this applies to the President. If it is decided that full immunity is granted, would President Biden receive immunity for the assignation of Mr. Trump because the action took place as an official duty of his office? This is a dangerous precedent being set without considering cause and effect.
It is baffling at how lame the American populous has become . We only have ourselves to blame by not nipping it in it's bud many years ago . Now with both houses on the take the road to making this world better becomes more difficult by the day . Common sense has left the building . The world is looking in and having a good laugh on our justice system, I am assuming all the European people are perplexed regarding, Thomas, Roberts etc . If part 1, of article 2 of the constitution, directly states that impeachment following a high crime, couldn't that also apply to part 2 of article 2, looking at the end of the first paragraph, that states that they cannot ever hold office if impeach,
couldn't the justification be made that since there is inherent impeachment through being found guilty of one of those qualifying factors under the text of part 1, would then apply to the text within part 2, regardless the restrictions of firearm ownership due to being a felon?
Granted I do also agree that if they can't be responsible enough as an American citizen to a point where they lose their right to own a firearm, they also should not be in charge of where the military gets to shoot theirs.
And lastly, since that implication of impeachment in part 1 can be reasonably justified, that they also lose the right, as explained in part 2, of issuing pardons, and therefore cannot pardon anyone, including themselves under the implications from part 1.
I feel like these are very strong arguments that needs to be at put out there and discussed by those in congress asap
