Thanks for the shout-out, Martin! I'm happy to announce that Scatter5 will have its own very generous FREE version too Available with Scatter5 release when 3.0 is out 😎
It's amazing how you can now days get Better CGI than Lord of the Rings from a single person on a single computer and most importantly from a free software!
Don't forget that this is just a static raytraced scene :) In Lord of the Rings you had the massive battles, gollum, nazghuls, all sorts of architecture disintegrating etc.. To make it the same quality as LotR you would need many more people. :) Although not as many as before!
I have a question, is it possible to Use in one scene different scatter setups on different objects or scatter 5 works just for one object/surface in scene ?
Lovely, thank you! I don't own any Blender addons, would you recommend purchasing Scatter 5 + Botaniq as my first ones? I want to make landscapes with cool architecture. Or do you recommend other ones first? Thanks mate, subbed
Hey Martin, you mentioned animating trees in Botaniq. I'm also using Botaniq but I'm not able to animate my trees.... Do you have any tutorial about that? Thanks in advance.
Awesomesauce! Really like these addons 😁 I also have Grove3D; when do you think this addon works better then Botaniq for example? Also, did I miss the part about the fix for the max vertices error that Scatter gives? + I like your CG Boost environment course! Just finished the first environment :)
Cheers, Gerrit! Att 5:31 when I use the Camera Clipping option, that is the part when the amount of particles is restricted just to what the camera sees :-) If you want highly editable trees with enormous customization, the Grove3D is a better option for sure :-)
@@MartinKlekner ahh right! Thanks :D Wasn’t sure it was that 🙊 I’ve been going through some of Rob Tuytel’s courses before I had the addons.. It’s good knowledge (and awareness) of what it takes to create these assets, but boy am I glad that I now have these addons to take that workload away 😂
As in A beginner I'm creating a animation by seeing ur videos ..... I didn't understand marvelous designeer tutorial while I'm importing to blender the fabric is coming out can u please help me to solve this ....... Love from India ❤
Really hard to say, both have excellent vegetation assets... Though I'd personally say that Graswald assets are better for detailed closeups, while Scatter is best at... well, scattering stuff :-)
Bad choice of words on my part, its not at the end of the video, but the masking I do from 5:20 I do to reduce the polycount of the particles. Also, you can lower the Emission Count value in the Particles menu of the addon.
Blender is now our office joke! Thanks to all these "build this and that in under 10 min" tutorials. Once you use blender on a large scale production it falls appart. Sigh.
Thanks for the shout-out, Martin!

Awesome news! Cant wait!
VERY generous indeed. Thanks so much 😁
Hi I just checked and didn't see any free version yet. When will this release?
Truly amazing, I got your CG boost course and not gonna lie I learnt so much ❤️ thanks!
Thank you for sharing this. Saw your picture a few weeks back on reddit and loved it!
I was struggling to get the landscape sizes right for fg, mg and bg and I think this small video just give me the thing I needed
Thank you for the video Martin! Your video is joy to watch as always!
very cool breakdown. cheers
I’m waiting for the day when these can render real-time in VR.
just go for a hike, lmao

When I click add scatter to a plane the only options are grass, and no trees. Why is that?
Amazing like always! thank you 😎
Ahh I love how simple yet effective your scene setups are. Can you do the same masking trick at 5:20 with botaniq?
Does the Scatter addon come with Tree assets? Also, does the clipping option work for animation or only still shots?
I bought your CG boost course and liking it. Please create a separate course using pay and free addons such as Gscatter, Botaniq, TrueFX, etc.
Sir can you do a video about nishita sky texture and motion graphics. thanks
The issue I'm having is getting the size and positioning of the landscapes right and also in frame .please can you help with that
I have a question, is it possible to Use in one scene different scatter setups on different objects or scatter 5 works just for one object/surface in scene ?
Im using SheepIT for rendering. SheepIT cloud rendering would disable any add-on. Would it be possible to "bake" the vegetation?
What are the differences between Botaniq and Botaniq lite? Is it just less assets or are there any other features that are not in the Lite version?
Scatter has now a free trial but it is somehow limited with the different grass types
These are terrific for still renders. But what do I do for animations, where the camera needs to move around, look in every direction?
@L D Gotcha. Thank you so much!
When is the release date of your movie
Im trying to aim for the end of this year :-)
Hey bro how did you make background
Its shown in the video, its a photo.
@@MartinKlekner ooo thanks, love from India
1 video can teach me everything about 3D landscape

Great video as always Martin! Why NLM and not Open Image Denoiser?

Hi, have you downloaded the latest 6.3 version? Its available only in that one, in the main meni, pretty easy - you jidt hit Animate
@@MartinKlekner thanks, I will check it out! Could be.. I haven't updated in a while ;-)
Yup, it worked out just fine! Didn't know the update was just out... Next time I will think first and then ask.. Hahaha. Thanks and love your work!

@@MartinKlekner Thank you very much!!!! I have a tough decision to make now haha. Have a great day!!
You promised to show us how to fix the problem with the polycount. Nice how you treat your viewers

i feel like i should be counting the clicks
Haha, may be a bit of overstatement, but yeah, it certainly feels like just a few clicks :-)
