Good job and nice video. I give you 9.5/10 score. I bought Micca Speakers too but R-8C. The only thing you miss to get 10/10 score is to cover the cut edges of the drywall with stripes of masking tape, folding over the edges on both the front and back sides of the drywall. This will prevent the gypsum in the drywall from being knowked loose from the speaker vibration as per Micca instructions in "Mounting Preparation" section page 1, figure 1.
The sound is great! No need to upgrade. I wired them up to the main channels of the amp and blasted music. No need to upgrade to more expensive speakers. I high recommend for any ceiling installation. No need for dedicated tweeter.
Hi.. Some did this work for me and now I am moving out that home and don't know how to take the speaker grill out since it is mounted in the ceiling. Any subjections? Thanks
Hi Kevin - I have been enjoying my theater and catching up on other work. Mind blowing sound for $40. I like them a lot!!! Everyone thinks that they are Klipsch.
I love them I have them all in my house and they sound so amazing I use a full set of them for my movie room and I wont even spend all that money on speakers I will continue to buy theses
Technically true. It helps contain the sound waves so they're not dispersing into the attic. Also, if you plan to do that, use some sound absorbing panels in the box. you can just spray adhesive them to the sides. Also helps direct the sound better. But you can get away with not using the box, at least right away. I'm installing these in my home now without the box, but I'll probably add them later.
micca makes amazing speakers and they sell them for next to nothing. I remember when they were just another no name brand but now they are starting to gain some traction and becoming a big player in the audio world. and they make the best crossovers you can find in a set of speakers for under $500. I have some BIC america speakers that I cost me $200 a piece and even they don't have a crossover network as sophisticated as what you see from micca. isn't that amazing? a middle range set of speakers from a top tier brand and micca makes speakers that are on par with if not above, for half the price.
Awesome job. Just got done installing mine. I'm having an issue getting covers back on. One side goes in but other side pops out.
I love these speakers! They have fantastic bass.

@@lv9530 yes, you’re maybe right, only people who likes to do it right, will…!
@@alpacasi these speakers are not knocking drywall loose.
@@lv9530 you can send your message to Micca. They wrote it
Hey hi this Micca M-8C supported dolby atmos??? Is this dolby atmos enabled speaker????
Hello , any advice on how to use the rust-oleum to prevent any clogging
Nice work. Hope they sound great.
I have the same speakers for my 7.2.4 setup they sound great
I'm literally watching this before purchasing. Are they really worth it?
The rest of my system is high-end, will these hold their own? Help :)
Nice work !!!
Do you think it will work as front speaker if i put it in a box?
So when is the sound review?
I have them in my living and bedroom total 8. They are awesome!
Great cost effective solution. I would appreciate you to share the sound results. Did Atnos work well with no need of dedicated tweeters?

Did you ever do the Dolby Atmos review for these speakers? I am considering buying 4 of them.

so they sound good? you never said how they perform for the price
how do u like these speakers?
you got to get your hole saw up to speed before you move it forward, but is it really a hole saw if it doesnt fuck you up? haha
It's been a while, how do you like the Miccas?

How easy is it to take the speaker grill out once it's mounted in the ceiling?
I don't know. I haven't tried. I made sure that they were positioned perfectly before installing the painted grills.
I would use a 90 degree scribe by sticking in in the edges of the grille and work it around.
I'm having an issue getting the grills back on.
No box for them? I've read that for optimum sound you should build a box for your in-ceiling speakers prior to installation?
Lol

not bad for the price . I think I might get some ...

EdWilsonPhoto that’s what I’m wondering
Love u man tnx a lot
everyone just shows these speakers but no review on the sound
as long as they are decent your surrounds don't really matter, they are just for sound effects

lol, at people that think Polk is high end. You're getting quality the same as these speakers but paying more........
