- This video clip demonstrated how to do hand pollinate cherimoya flowers. For those whose doesn't have the time or hand pollination method does not work for you. Don't give up, there's still hope. In this video, I also show another way to pollinate the cherimoya flowers using the fruit flies and how to maintain the fruit flies to stay around long enough to do the job for you. I used to work in Cadiz, Spain and I enjoyed the chirimoya fruits. I planted chirimoya trees in my backyard in Orlando. Every Summer, it just blooms and blooms and no fruits. I wasn't aware that they require hand pollination. I will try it and hopefully, I will have fruits this time. Thanks for a very informative video.

How long can you save the pollen in refrigerator?
OMG, my apology for not getting back to you. I moved right after I posted this video. You can keep the pollen up to 3 days or so. you shouldn't run out of pollen once your tree starts to bloom. For every flower you pollinate, you can collect pollen after 4 - 5 days once the flowers start to produce pollens. you should be good through out your pollination process. I hope this help

OMG, my apology for not getting back to you. I moved right after I posted this video. I have Dr. white cherimoya. It tastes unbelievably good. I started a new cherimoya tree, Dr. White, and have been collecting fruits every year. Please let me know if you still need help. Thanks

OMG, my apology for not getting back to you. I moved right after I posted this video. Fruit flies are everywhere, all you need are some apples, bananas, pineapples, or any fruits that can draw attention to sweetness. Fruit flies will show up in a few days. good luck

So the female turns into a male after you pollinate it. I’m confused
No. the female will turn into a male if it is not pollinated. So you will have to wait till a female turn male to pollinate other mature females flowers. That's where i am now. I have a mature female, but i have to wait till it becomes a male (unpollinated) to pollinate 2 other new mature female flowers that started opening today.
Be carefull introducing fruitfly into your yard, they lay eggs in fruit that become maggot in your ripe fruits
