Hi Ryan, just want to say thanks for bringing your Motorsport life to RUclips. I found your channel and I'm hooked on the way you deliver your content and who you are...a down to earth, humble and cool individual. Your demeanor is just prefect for this type of content. Thanks for showing us the different shops and their Automotive Engineering Prowess. I am also loving the fact that you show us everything and not too scared to work on your car by yourself and take us along for the ride to learn with you. I've been looking at your older videos liking all of them as I go. You know a video is great when you are left in awe and be like damn, that's so sick, you're motivated to work on your own car or you smile at the video...Wish I could subscribe more to raise the subs. Let's go bay bay! Wish you all the best DUUUUUDEEEEE!
DUDE THIS MACHINE CONTENT WOW. That shop is awesome ..how they kept up with technology and can implement all that for the best engine building possible.
Fkn love these vids. Perfect mix of professional and back yard. In any case, can you normalize the audio in the future? I’d get the volume turned up for the talking bits then get blasted when a machine turned on lol
Thanks for the feedback floodo1! I’ll definitely look into it more thoroughly as we move forward. I think a new mic for the vlog camera would be huge since the current one doesn’t pic up audio the best.
Im on my 3rd iteration of my engine. Havent gotten beyond startup without some serious issues holding me back. Im also a blue collar worker so i can only “afford” 1 rebuild a year
No car break-in, I don't know if you hesitate, I think so, obviously the engines break down afterwards. New engine and reaches limiter? You want to break it again.
@@RyanTuerck I'm super calm, it just annoys me to see people explaining what they're doing and then teaching them the wrong things. When a person goes to overhaul an engine he won't know what to do and will break it. RUclips has a lot of potential, but they are used badly. Two days? Minimum 1000km, running the car at low revs, warming it up gradually at first, turning it off? What did you do exactly? Two days is just to turn it on. All the tolerances of the rings, bearings, you have also rectified, it is a new engine, it will need at least 1000km to run in properly. At first it will start to consume oil, it will have less power, the engine has just been born. And we're not just talking about hours in a break-in, but about kilometres, the engine has to go for kilometres, it has to be under a bit of effort, it has to feel the weight of the car, it's all a succession of things. Speed in doing things is never good. Then all the more reason that it is a supercharged engine, it must be treated with care.
Make sure you put an inline oil filter on as well if you're going to be hitting high-Gs like that ... and make sure you're using the right oil (Driven XP9) and use a good break-in oil first (Driven Break-In) for the first 100 miles. That machine shop sounds great otherwise .... profilometer and Ra control is proper stuff.
It’s not brand new, he’s had this car for a long while now. If you remember the video he did a few years back when he drove a drift car through New York city, this was that car.
@@SatriaBudiN Ahh, he’s actually already used it as a comp car. I don’t think he plans to do Formula D in this car anymore, it’s why it’s becoming the east coast car.
@@toxicmasculinity7870 nah this is a newer chassis, the original FRS comp car chassis was totaled mid season, so he swapped everything into his former street 2JZ FRS and made it his comp car till the end of the season, then sold it to JDM Supreme Restoration for funds into the Formula Supra as he was already driving for Papadakis Racing in the Corolla hatchback. This was the salvaged chassis he bought when he was doing simple rally build with Chris Forsberg. He put this together with the spare engine that he had and leftover parts from his FRS comp/street car, thus why you can see the NAMELESS performance bits.
I think it was corrosion from sitting for so long before I finally ran it. Wasn't properly stored which is my fault. But maybe not. Just the only thing I can come up with. No known part failure or anything.
Protect machine shops like this!
I have an lq4 ls built by him, awesome guy! Crazy to see him getting featured on a bigger youtube channel
Protect what the hell do you mean this is a machine shop not an arms dealer

Its overheads and having to upgrade machines that sink shops like that not lack of custom

dropped in a fresh rebuilt in NO time, and first thing Ryan does is slides in the carpark to make sure everything is good. what a legend
Now that's a cute af shop cat! Can you trust a shop that don't have some shop animals?
i have seen a LOT of editing in a lot of RUclips video's but wow, this video wins the trophy for edits.

Wow what a cool machine shop. Two generations worth of knowledge and some amazing machines makes all the difference.
Absolutely! Randall does it to a proper professional level.
Damn. Gets his own hands dirty and getting it done. Baller.
Since day one.
Nice machine shop you got there 😮
I'm a simple man, I see shop kitty I hit the like button.
Awesome stuff Ryan, props for not sulking, and just getting her DONE! 👏
So stoked the content is comming more often!
I'm Here! What a shop!
Great content had no idea there was break in oil. Thanks for adding to my memory bank.
awesome work, keep the videos coming.

Been Trying to get to that project. Slowly collecting parts for it. Hopefully have a little time this year to make some progress on her.

hey Ryan, any plans on registering this car and bringing back Tuerck Street Car? Like the good ol days
Time for a superior 1uz engine

Calm down. We didn’t show the entire two days of engine break in with multiple heat cycles.

So interesting! What do you think caused the issue and what did you do to prevent it from happening again?
thats the question
Any idea why it catched metal? I would not even thought that this can happen in dry sumped motor...
Imagine having all those engine machining tools 😁
Com on man you said a couple heat cycles 🤣
haha we didn't show every heat cycle. That would have been boring.
Updates on the Celica PLEASE!!!
They coming soon. I will finally have some time for that car soon.

Absolutely, I added an Oberg inline filter on top of the pre filter just to be as safe as possible. So it filter pre engine and post engine.
any chances that you will use this car as a comp car?? or build brand new chassis??

someone fucked up, probably why it wasn't disclosed.

Does anyone know what that sink with the hot water/brush attachment is called? Looks super nifty.
Parts washer, or sometimes part cleaner. Try “hot parts washer”
It's a Water based Parts Washer made by Safety Kleen.
