Hi Ramonne, nice video! I like your outfeed table, man I really need to build something like that for my contractor saw. I hate to be the safety police but I do feel compelled to mention that conventional safety advice for the table saw is to avoid gloves. The glove itself can get caught in a spinning blade and pull your entire hand into the machine, turning what might have just been a small cut on a finger into a much larger injury. Stay safe out there in the shop so you can keep making cool stuff! End product turned out really nice.
Dude, I appreciate the advice, especially in regard to safety, because I like my fingers, and I would love to keep them. I am really enjoying my outfeed table although it’s some I threw together quickly. I’ll be making a better one later on this year. You should definitely get one! 🙏🏾
Very helpful video. Watching from Australia. You can see why the metric system we use here is so much easier when it comes to measurements and calculations.
It’s all depends on what measuring systems you used to. I’m in Canada, which switched to metric in 1975. I was 12 at that time had a hell of time comprehending metric. I’m used to imperial measurements to this day because my family moved to WI then TX while was in high school. I only moved back to Canada in my late 30’s still hate metric measurement. We still use both measurements depend on where we go but labels would have both measurements. When my adult kids get in my car hearing my GPS ranting on in m/h they laugh since they only know metric.
Nice work! Thinking about doing one eventually, so this helps out a lot. Also consider if you’re going the nailer route what length nails are going in the wall and what’s behind it. I’m also debating if I want to use a backer just paint my wall a dark color to make it pop. 🤔
Thank you! I’m glad it helped. I find that my Brad nailer (2 inch nails) works well! I used the same process for another wall I put up and it’s still holding strong. However, adding backer or MDF is probably a better idea because you could fasten those to the studs in the wall and then your slats would be really secure! I strongly recommend painting the back regardless because it makes wood pop and just provides a really nice contrast. Sorry for the long paragraph 😅
Great video, excellent instructions - thank you so much! One thing I was curious about- you mentioned the quote you received with pre-mades at $350.00, what was the total cost for your DIY? Thanks again!
Thank you 🙏🏾 the quote I received was $350.00 USD pre tax, shipping etc… I spent around $80 on the pine boards, but with that said, I already had some wood stain & Polyurethane from a previous project so I didn’t need to purchase any.
Used wood to make my terrarium. Sanding might be the worst part of woodworking. And yea I skipped the pre staining (tried to save a few bucks and some time) not unbearable but it does take your woodworking to different level
Sanding is the worst for sure, especially using a battery powered sander, or just using your hands and a piece of sandpaper I guess. lol and yes, pre staining is a good investment! Thank you for your comment.
Great job bro🎉

Exactly! Thanks 🙏🏾

@@RenowithRamonne no worries, I appreciate the extra advice, I’ll keep it in mind :) keep it up and stay safe my guy!
Did you paint the wall behind the slats a darker color?
No I painted the entire room the same color. I Think because the slats are so close, it just appears darker.
