I am was born in Bombay, my parents were originally Baghdadi jews with Spanish/Portuguese (Sefardi) roots. We still keep many traditions dating back hundreds of years, particularly regarding kosher food. Over the centuries many had the audacity to try and convert us but basically we told them to get lost and held fast to our faith, some less religious than others but still identified themselves as Sefardi Jews.

Ojas Chahal…. If you really think about it, Hinduism is based on Judaism.. when Moses cast out the people for worshiping the ‘Golden Calf’, they migrated eastwards to Persia where they became Zoroastrian and to India where they became Hindus.. Hinduism is a mixture of Egyptian worship practiced by the people of Exodus (golden calf, reincarnation, animal headed Gods, the sacred Ganges/Nile) and Judaism (the caste system, the snake and fire of Moses, the Colour blue of the priestly class, the number 7, milk, mark on the forehead/Phylactery, the Star of David/Vishnu Yantra, the tree of life/chakra).. there are too many similarities and it’s not down to coincidence..🤔

I am a Syrian Orthodox Christian from the ' Malabar coast '. We are a distinct ethnoreligious community that practice Syriac Christianity and we happen to be one of the oldest Christian communities in the world, yes, we were Christianised before the message of Christ even reached Europe. Part of the reason is because as this video mentions about the cochin Jews, these Jews were visited by a man named St. Thomas, an Aramaic speaking Jew and an apostle of Christ, he knew about the existence of a Jewish community there and set sail for the Malabar coast where he met with the Jews here and eventually converted about half of them. Hence, much of the Christians today in Malabar have some sort of roots to the Judaic identity, although now we are entirely Christianized and employ Syriac, a dialect of Aramaic as our liturgical language. So yes, Judaism and Christianity go way back in India and it is not just cows, slums and random Hindu monks walking about on the roads as it is portrayed by western media, it is far more diverse than you can imagine. Ive never experienced that sort of India that BBC portrays.

@ABHISHEK RAJU Haha, Rajiv Malhotra the clown of India. But thanks mate for giving him that befitting reply. These people have a hard time digesting the ancient roots of Christianity in india and deny my history, take it elsewhere. At one time they will call us colonial converts and their slaves but when we present to them the ancient roots of Syrian Christianity in India, they deny it, funny people. However, I encourage you to read about St. Thomas' journey and about his remnants even in the Island of Socotra off the coast of Yemen
The Socotra people now are entirely Arab Sunni but at one point in history they were Syriac Christians as well
Is it coincidence that they adopted the Christian faith? That was an unknown island at the time and St. Thomas was said to have landed there through a shipwreck
Why would we even reach socotra? Possibly on his journey toward Malabar, there is no other plausible explanation.

The King of Israel from the tribe of Judah, Solomon (Shlomo), had a relation with the Queen of Sheba, Makeda.
Their child, Menelik, became the first Emperor of Ethiopia.
When he was young he went to visit his father, and while leaving he carried the Ark with him in Ethiopia, because the Israelites and the King himself were not more following the rules of the Torah the right way and were following foreign Gods.
So the bloodline of the Kings of Judah is in Ethiopia since then.
So the only people in the world that can call themselves Jews are there in the Horn of Africa.
The peoples of the Horn of Africa are defined by scientist Afro-Semitic.
With the Queen Makeda and her son Menelik they started to worship the God of Israel and to follow the rules of the Torah.
The Kingdom of Axum was a new Israel.
While the Biblical Israelites rejected Jesus (Yehoshua) as Messiah, Ethiopia was the first Kingdom (already Jewish) to become ufficially Christian.
Because they knew that Jesus was in the line of King David and King Solomon, just like the first Ethiopian Emperor!
So as new Israel was Ethiopia, the new Jews never rejected Jesus!

Most interesting story. The Chinese regard Jewish people with admiration and disgust. Admiration for the Jewish people's success in many aspects of societies. Disgust for the opium trades the Sassoon Empire traded Chinese's lives for dirty money. But that is one thing I am always fascinated by the Jewish people. They are capable of extraordinary good things, but they do stray off their Jewish teaching and found money irresistible.

A bit like what's happening with Fentanyl, but in reverse. Should we judge the Chinese people as a whole because the world's supply of illegal Fentanyl comes from China?
The Century Of Humiliation wouldn't have happened if Qing Dynasty China hadn't been so utterly moribund, corrupt, and weak. It was Chinese merchants and gangsters who sold that opium inside China.

    • @WalkOverHotCoal

      @@tpxchallenger
You made a serious mistake that Fentanyl comes mostly from China. It is Mexico. But I don't go blaming Mexicans for it as you probably would.
You are playing a game of "victim blaming" very well. In case you aren't aware of such a disease. You can blame a rape victim for being a female, or in some rare cases, even male. Just want to stress the fact that I didn't say the Jewish people are opium manufacturers and dealers, I am associating it with the Sassoon family. In fact, not all of the Sassoon clan was into it either.
This video painted a bright picture of Jewish presence in the world, but conveniently left out the nasty bits.
Your victim blaming game went as far as saying that corruption and weakness during the Qing reign contributed to China being a haven for opium trade, which in turn poisoned and weaken the people and the entire nation as a whole. It is a vicious cycle, no doubt. So the list you provided, corruption and weakness, is a recipe for foreign power sch as the British and the Sassoon family to exploit? If that is the right justification, can you blame China for rising above the foreign powers which had taken advantage of its weakness? But according to some, a strong China is now bad as it is no longer easy to walk over like it once was.
Pan your view over to America, Mexicans cop the fall outs from the drug trades. Tens of thousands of them were killed simply because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. And where are those high power guns come from? America of course. American drug lords traded drugs for guns so that they can kill each other and innocent Mexicans. Now ask yourself this simple question..."If American ceases the demands for drugs, would guns be smuggled into Mexico?" By the way, it doesn't stop at Mexico, nearly the entire South America is affected by American and the West's insatiable desire for drugs.
Ask yourself another question..."If America ceases gun trades, would it help to slow down the drug trades?"
It is a supply and demand situation. However, if the suppliers aren't there, it will be harder for the drug trade to flourish. Equally, if the demands aren't there, it wouldn't flourish either. But who are doing their level best to make Fentanyl available to the American? Drug companies and even doctors. It is a complicated issue. But as soon as you sheet all the blames onto the victims, then you leave yourself exposed.

That didn't surprise me though as the British Empire is evil to the core. Now the British government is lecturing the world about human rights, it didn't have any issue with abusing the human rights of the Indian people and the Chinese people.
I do know that Indian soldiers served under the British flag, and in many way, Indian soldiers were guilty of being the accessory to the British Empire to oppress the Asian people.
Regarding Hong Kong, I am still having difficulties why so many idiots still carry on about independence of Hong Kong. It is just as ridiculous as demanding independence for Goa. Hong Kong is part of China, and Goa is part of India.

When Christianity became the state religion of the empire, the Romans started converting to Christianity in large numbers and most of them added "GOD" to their existing pantheon of deities ... went through the exiles in Assyria in 734-732 BC and Babylonia in 6th and 5th century BC. The Jews in diaspora started to take part in business dealings with South India. The Jews of Babylon started speaking Aramaic for the sake of international trade and daily life. That time Babylon was an icon of international trade which had sea route trades with South India which extended to southern China. The Jews exiled by Assyrians were dissipated among many individuals and nations. Some of them came to settle in different parts of India.

Jewish traders started trading with China via the Silk Road and by sea before the Song dynasty 宋朝.
However, the Jewish community only began to live permanently and recognized China as their new found home during the Song dynasty of the late 900AD.
The reason as to why the Jewish community was accepted by the ruling Emperor back then was because he was very impressed by the ability of the Jewish traders in fostering continental trading and networking, not to say the exotic and luxurious goods that the traders were bringing into China. The Emperor even granted the community Chinese names e.g. 李 Levy、艾 Abraham、高 Cohen、石 Stone 、金 Gold、白 White.
Initially, the community was granted the permission to live as citizens only in the capital city 汴梁 (old name of then Kaifeng 开封). As time goes by, the community was slowly being accepted by the mainstream society and started to relocate around different parts of China.

These are the Kaifeng Jews. According to a scholarly consensus, they are descended primarily from Persian Jews who arrived in China either through the overland Silk Route or the sea route to the ports of Quanzhou or Guangzhou. Eventually, they settled down and married Chinese women. Their house of worship is the Kaifeng synagogue that takes the form of a Chinese temple. Kaifeng Jews had incorporated Chinese religious practices into their religion thus created their own form of practicing Jewish religion. Among Chinese cultural practices they embraced is the veneration of ancestors. Overtime the Kaifeng Jews had been increasing assimilated into Han Chinese population. There are some Chinese families that do not consume pork which may indicate of either Jewish or Muslim descent. There are some Chinese families in Fujian that are descended from Muslims and no longer practice Islam but retain certain elements of Islamic practices like refrain from consuming pork. There is estimated 1000 Chinese Jews left. A small number had migrated to Israel as part of the Aaliyah.

Much of the cochin Jews converted to Christianity after St. Thomas, a Jew who believed in Jesus, arrived in Malabar and evangelized the existing Jewish community there. Today, the Christians in Malabar are a distinct ethnoreligious community that practices Syriac Christianity, my people. So yes, Judaism and Christianity go way back in India. Unlike whats portrayed to you in western media, where India seems to be this orange-coloured place full of cows, slums and Hindu idols everywhere, which i myself have never seen, there is far more to it.

Thank you for recognizing Chinese descendants. Many people forget about the Min people who are, by definition, misplaced tribe and considered foreigners in South East China.
My research has lead me to believe that the first and second exile contained Asher, Zebulon, Issachar, and Manasseh since they traveled together. Most, sadly, have overly assimilated into host culture. I think my grandmother on my father's side had some folklore tie some biblical traditions.

It makes me sick that even today all Muslims hate such a small community, surviving on a tiny piece of their motherland unanimously.
