My sister has been raising bees for several years & I forwarded this video to her because I’m sure she’s gonna want to do this latest beehive as well. She has grandchildren that will enjoy being able to watch the bees especially if you can see the queen actually laid eggs, to me that was AMAZING!!
If your sister lives in north America then she has been contributing to the death of our ecosystem for years! Honey bees are actually native to Eurasia, and are horribly devastating to our ecosystem because they block out our native pollinators from food and are extremely good at spreading diseases between our native wild life. Honey is super profitable and that's why there's so much campaigning around saving honey bees. what's more American than profit? Especially at the expense of our biodiversity
@@someoneelse4925 she never specified the bees raised they could be captive bred hornets, no reason to hop online and type some social justice warrior stuff with no knowledge of the persons experience or background, if you really knew what you were talking about or cared youd take facts to the people doing it in real life not rant to some lady about her sisters bee keeping hobby, weird lol.
We bought this beehive from Ivry over a year ago. It is very easy to care for. The children and guests love being able to see inside without worrying about getting stung. The bees are very happy and even swarmed and split to form a second hive. We extracted some of the best honey I have ever tasted. Of course we left most for the bees. We are really enjoying our introduction to beekeeping through this hive, we are total novices.
Happy birthday, Uriah! I loved the bee close-ups in the intro. Great camera work. Enjoyed the whole video as well: very educational. Will say the round hive would be way too much work for me, but I can see how someone doing a project with their children could benefit from the concept.
Happy birthday Uriah! A big 8 today" congratulations" and may you have many many many many many more. Have a great day Uriah and it's a good thing to see you working with the bees. How cool is that!
I saw a documentary about keeping bees in clear recycled (round) plastic 5 gallon everflow containers and it’s a fascinating way to keep bees. Looks like this company incorporated some of those ideas.
I hope Uriah had a wonderful birthday. It is fascinating to see how quickly those bees work building their hive. Now I understand the old saying "busy as a bee'. Thanks for sharing this with us, I truly enjoy watching your videos. 18:27
We just ordered one of these because my kids love to watch bees whenever they see live hives and just on our flowers and in nature. My 4 yr old is so very excited about this because she loves bees and this will allow her to see the process. I hope once it gets established to let the grade schools come see it during earth science lessons. We need all the education about bees we can and this is such a cool thing to get kids involved and excited about bees and why we need them. Hope you post progress with yours.
It is so amazing watching you and the kids working with all the bees and see how calm they are around them. It’s such beauty watching how the bees know how to do what they do. And just how fast they work at building from scratch a new hive. I like the new hive you have set up it is different than I have seen. Happy Birthday to Uriah. What amazing day he had with dad working with the bees.
I like the concept, but wonder how it would hold up in the Northeast weather. We run with Apimaye hives for the insulation factor and because if you get foul brood you can soak the hive parts in bleach water to sterilize instead of having to burn your whole hive. I just don’t see this as a long lasting hive.
A happy and healthy birthday to Uriah! May you always be happy, cheerful, healthy, full of energy and never get tired helping papa taking care of the beehive while learning so much from them! I know I have learned a lot from your sharing and from where I am staying, it is not suitable to have any bee keeping at all so this is something I get to learn here and respect the honey bees when I bump into one.
Happy Birthday Uriah! I remember you being such a tiny tot and now you're a whole eight years old! I hope you have a wonderful day and many many happy returns! 🎉
Uriah is getting so big! Happy birthday Uriah! 🎉 Cool looking hive, I think if I ever go into bees I would invest in a flow hive system. It looks easier.
WOW that round Bee Hive is really unusual, I hope it continues to grow and flourish.. Happy 'Bee-Day' Uriah and here's to many more young man. Best Birthday wishes to you and all the family, from Wales.
A health food store in the town I grew up in in the 1970s had a see-through beehive. It was really cool as a kid. While mom shopped I always just stood there mesmerized. It had a clear pipe that went out through the wall that allowed the foraging bees egress / ingress.
Happy birthday to your son! This hive looks cool but seems like a lot of work for setup. I appreciate how much your skills have grown over time. You added the clip but I was really concerned the first time you were swarmed.
Happy Birthday Uriah 🎉 I remember your struggles at the beginning with the bees, you have grown so much and have a lot of successful hives now. It's fun to watch the hives grow. The new round hive looks nice and looking forward to see how well it does. I've been thinking of having a few hives but I'm waiting and learning more by watching you. Which hive do you like the best out of the regular box hives, Flo Hive or the new round one? Maybe by end of the summer you can do a quick comparison review of the hives?
I have learned so much about beekeeping and livestock management and I live vicariously. I have a senior apt. with a balcony and growing my own little crops of flowers, herbs and tomatoes. I have toyed with the idea of having a few Japanese Quail for eggs. Happy Birthday! 🥳
Happy Birthday Uriah ❤❤❤ God bless you and keep you in His wonderful hands. I have been watching your videos for a very long time. You are growing up to be such a wonderful big boy. I noticed that you always find the queen 🐝 Keep up the good work you do. Love you guys❤❤❤

You can take a piece of pool noodle foam and line the front of Uriah's hood/hat to custom fit his head, then it won't slip and block his vision. HAPPY BIRTHDAY URIAH!!
Several thing, I'm no expert but it's not recommended to leave feed just outside of the hive, it said to encourage robbing, although the hive has nothing. Two, if you keep buying rare and different hive, it's going to be a hassle to transfer hive.
Happy Birthday Uriah. I hope you had a great Birthday. & lots of fun. I like the look of the new Bee Hive. I am looking forward to see how you will be harvesting all that honey. There is no way to put it in to a spinner yet I bet.
