  • As the sun shone brightly and the sky remained cloudless, my adventure began, but nature had other plans. Without warning, dark clouds gathered, and I knew I had to act quickly. Immediately, I set about constructing my primitive survival shelter to stay ahead of the approaching rain. It didn't take long before the rain came pouring down. With just a thin layer of leaves on the roof, I fought against the rain. When it briefly subsided, I improved the roof to make it as waterproof as possible.
The next morning, I was greeted once again by radiant sunshine, and I seized the opportunity to hike to the nearby mountain stream. My goal was to catch a wild brown trout and prepare a delicious meal. Armed with my fishing rod, I made my way to the riverbank, ready for the challenge.
    Thanks for watching!

Another great relaxing video. You are very knowledgeable in the outdoors. I really enjoy watching. I would like to send you one of my collapsible one person dutch ovens that I make for my scouts. if you would accept it. Do you Have a post office box that i could send you one?. It would work great with your light backpacking.

You ignored the first rule of shelter making. NEVER build a shelter in the rain water path. Its a stream where you built that, and even a little amount of gushing water is gonna soak you,

We can't build anything like that on the Gulf Coast of Alabama because of the cottonmouth moccasins, coral snakes, and black widow spiders. Maybe in the dead of winter when it is 50° we might risk the snakes...maybe not. But I like watching people in the snow and mountains anyway.
