I think Theodore saw some kind of father figure in The Prototype - a father he never had. this yearn for parental love and affection towards The Prototype obviously remained inside Theodore after his transformation. I also think it's possible that The Prototype killed CatNap because the latter had gotten too powerful. CatNap embraced death because his second fatal electrocution traumatized him too much.

The video skipped an important detail: The prototype could have escaped and left Theodore to die, however he choose to save Theodore by bringing him to the scientists. That is why Theodore’s and the prototype’s friendship became bigger
I think that catnap thought that the prototype was helping him, that’s why catnap lifted his arms, but when the prototype’s hand closed, he lowered them
The one problem is that Playcare was established over a decade before the BBI was announced. The Orientation Notebook says that Playcare opened in 1976, which is way before the BBI could even happen Playcare was likely made with genuine care for the kids in mind from Elliot, but when Sawyer announced the BBI, he thought the easiest place to go for these subjects was Playcare, since nobody would know if any of the kids went missing, since they're orphans

I have a mini theory that the reason that catnap kept sparing the player until a certain point was because the player used to be Theodore's old assigned caretaker.

Dogday was actually Harley Sawyer. Other than the fact that both characters have the same English and Spanish voice actors but they were both leaders to their respective teams. It also explains why Catnap wanted Dogday to suffer since he was responsible for everything that’s happened to them.
@@Beanielandia This is in defense of what Catnap did to Dogday on a video defending Catnap so it is on topic. With this added information, we can’t be sure if Dogday was even telling us the truth. It’s implied Catnap sleeps nearby where Dogday was being held so for him, it’d be catharsis for Dogday to be held in a prison like that if he was Harley Sawyer just like Harley Sawyer was holding them in prisons. As well as tearing him to pieces like he did with them as explained in that video. Plus, Catnap uses his gas to put his victims to sleep before killing them but he didn’t do that with Dogday.

Just because they had the same VA is not proof. Poppy and Stella have the same VA, but they are clearly not the same
