Kinda late, but I want to point out that it is possible to see how many times a player has died in the world. This is an easy method to find out if Hardcore worlds are fake or not. Do this by simply pressing "esc" on your keyboard whilst in game and then press "statistics", scroll to the bottom and find a grey text that says "Number of Deaths" followed by a number of, you guessed it - deaths. Please like and pin so that more people learn about it!
I was watching one of your shorts and decided to watch the full video after i did that i went to see your sub count and was surprised it was so low i expected at least 100k because the content is so good. What i wanted to say is keep pushing man and things will happen you will reach 100k in no time.
Please remember that you don’t have to spend all of that time awake! That’s a dangerous challenge and your fans would be more appreciative if you didn’t hurt yourself ❤
It's really not dangerous, if it's only 30-some hours. Unhealthy, yes. And if you were doing it on a regular basis it would be very much so, and could potentially get into somewhat dangerous territory. But as a one-time event, there's really nothing wrong with it.
4:05 imagine you are watching a hardcore stream. You see the player fall into huge pile of mobs. And the stream suddenly ends and a few minutes later, the stream restarts and the streamer says: "Sorry I had connection problems" 6:16 actually, you don't have to fight just spend the whole night somewhere safe
I liked this video and it's nice you brought some awareness to this. By the way, I don't think beds make the game too easy, it has the same effect as staying inside your house all night, but it's faster, if anything it's just a quality of life change, and it's other feature of setting a respawn point would be impossible to live without.
In the context of this video, the respawn location mechanic is completely meaningless in Hardcore challenges, but yes. Every player being able to have their own custom spawn is just great, especially after dumping End city loot into an ender chest and taking a void bath. You just pop up right at home and head into your storage room to sort all the plunder :)
You know what's the funniest thing (which you actually briefly mentioned) about the scripted/fake stuff? That pretty much noone would have an issue if you cheated for entertainment sake and just were open about it. Scripted stuff isn't bad if you don't pretend it's not
Nobody would watch hardcore content if they know it’s fake, the only youtubers I belive are the ones that livestream everytime they play showing the daycount every stream
@@zioperasium7875 it obviously wouldnt be a "i survived [insert amount] days type thing but if its entertaining enough, people would absolutely watch it

this video shortened down to two sentences: "hardcore youtube series can be easy to fake, as the game literally has an in-game feature to respawn hardcore completely seamlessly. anyway go watch my hardcore playthrough"
The thing that bothers me about modern hardcore minecraft content is that by episode 2 or 3 its just a creative world but they have to collect resources and can't fly. Theres no real feeling of danger when its just some dude spending a thousand hours to make a gigantic mega base with a massive storage system with a ton of items theyll never use. The more megaprojects these youtubers do the less impressive it gets and it feels more like busywork to keep a series going for no reason other than content. Thats why i gravitate to modded series these days, because theres always something to progress towards
2:35 Dream was pretty open about using a plugin to increase pearl drops in manhunts. In fact, when it came out that he cheated one of his excuses when he finally "admitted" it was that he accidentally left the manhunt plugin on.
I think the Manhunt series are scripted too. There is too much action and too many close shaves without death per episode. Dream cheating in speedruns also damages his credibility.
I admit that I follow these people because I am fascinated by what they can do. I watched Cookie most often. And I know he once showed a texture pack with hardcore hearts. Of course he somehow explained why this is so, but it took me by surprise. There is also a video showing that he gave himself spawner eggs.
To add, you could legit just play creative and make a ton of huge builds while switching in and out of survival to make it look like you're playing, and you can use /time add to just make the day whatever you want people to think it is.
5 months old, sure, but please try and avoid having the background music contest the main audio. It’s meant to be in the background, just a little bit quieter would help :)
6:59 "I created this RUclips channel with the primary goal to raise 1M dollars to fund cancer research , I don't wanna profiteer off of traded so I won't mention the specifics as to why" Cancer's a tough battle man, we're rooting for you
People focus way too much on "is the content real or fake" and let me tell you something: fake content can STILL be entertaining. The video can be fake but the creator will be energetic/full of charisma/doing something crazy in his world. So idc if the video im watching is real or fake, i care about is it entertaining me or not and everyone have their own taste in content. Thanks for reading this and have a great weekend yall!
Agreed. The only exception for me is stuff like speedruns, since that is a genuine competition against others and therefore affects more than just content.
I disagree with this view, people need to stop letting people to get away with faking videos, remember no matter how entertaining it is, part of the entertainment is that you believe all the things done in the video are legit, by faking things and hiding it those creators lie to your face. If you are the type of person to say "i DoNT CAre IF itS FakE its EnTErtaINg" you are in denial and need to face facts.
cant wait to see sleepless hardcore. ive seen a video before this talking about how minecraft content has become dull and it needs innovation like how old content needs. ive never seen sleepless hardcore and since this video has uploaded 3 months ago (from this comment), it has to be pretty genuine and time consuming keep it up.
To many 100 days all over my recommended finally I can hope to get a decent vid! Reminds me mumbo or was it smallishbean did a sleepless video, pretty hilarious but please don't push yourself surviving 40 hours sleep might sound easy to some but as someone who's been up for 4 days solid in a nightmare like situation (all you need to know is that I was once a paramedic in Japan) the first 17 hours you'll feel fineish but afterwards it becomes horrible 24 hours and you body starts to slow and numb you regularly loose balance and can trip if not focused this often leads to head trauma injurys seen all to many people trip pulling an all nighter lmao at 30-36 is when a serious risk of life comes into play with all senses being damped and thinking becomes irrational and at 40 it just gets worse, while it probably won't do any long term damage if it's a one off thing it's still not healthy. By 4 days I lost function in one eye, I was reduced to a mess who couldn't think and had to be dragged away by co workers in a similar situation because I qoute from the main doctor "If you push yourself another 10 hours you could literally drop dead the way your body's breaking down" yer it was nasty but the work I put in those 4 days was very rewarding etc Just saying please don't push yourself to much, only just subbed but I can see you do good content I'm sure me and others wouldn't want you to hurt yourself etc
It's pretty easy to survive 100 days with no skill if you are careful and methodical about it. Basic rules: 1. Keep danger away with walls, light, and sleep, from the first day onward. Internalize your farms into your base. Secure your Nether Portal, etc. 2. No tempting fate. Don't do anything you can't afford to screw up once you're far enough not to scrap the run. Levitation from shulkers? Make sure you have a safe landing zone. Don't go out with tools in red durability. Don't jump crit the dragon. 3. Keep your base and inventory idiot proof. No lava or open pits to fall into. Don't have lava on your hotbar without water. Keep an extra shield. 4. No relying on luck. Assume there is a ghast that will shoot at you on your bridge, a magma cube that will fall on your head, your basement is in a slime chunk, there's a dripstone biome below you, gravel under lava above you, and you're about to mine into a lava pocket. 5. Hedge your bets if disaster strikes. Pearls, Elytra, full diamond/netherite armor with Prot IV, Feather Falling, and mending, fire resistance, multiple totems and golden apples, a large supply of cooked meat or golden carrots, multiple different situationally appropriate ways to MLG or mitigate fall damage, etc. Always keep blocks and a full set of well-maintained tools, including shovel and hoe. It wouldn't hurt to keep a bucket of milk on you either, as well as something to prevent drowning. 6. Trade skill and speed for security. Cheese every encounter. With some very basic game knowledge I think just about anyone should be able to survive 100 days hardcore mode. Now, these probably aren't all strictly necessary. You could always get the Elytra within 30 minutes and then fly around giant caves critting out mobs and gathering ores under pressure for 30 hours without ever making armor or a shield, but I'm saying if you want to do hardcore easily and safely, maybe don't do it that way.
yo be VERY careful with sleep deprivation. people have experimented with it in the past and had horrendous results. 1 all nighter is one thing but pushing into multiple days is dangerous so really consider if that part is worth it
and he never uploaded again... I remember watching this a couple months ago. I was really hoping to see the video. Either it got cancled, or he's caught in an endless loop. :(
I'm honestly not impressed by this video. It's not even that the video or editing is bad. You just spent under half of your video talking about the topic of the video. You gave one example of cheating in hardcore, that isn't even relevant because of this simple fact: Minecraft is really pretty easy after you get good armor. Wanna know what's not easy? spending 20 hours on minecraft. The problem with staging a 100 days video isn't the in game difficulty, it's the real life time. Sure, you can use your example of lagging a stream and opening to lan, which credit where credit is due, is not something I had thought of before, but the problem is always the time. Want to know a simple way to find out if a 100 days video is staged or not? The f3 menu shows how many days have elapsed since the creation of the world. If the number of days in the debug menu is inconsistent with the title of the video, it's fake. If it is consistent, then it's not fake. If the youtuber never shows the f3 menu, it's suspicious. All of this is to say, your mission is inspirational, but this video is really just 3 videos in one with what is an honestly clickbait title.
Yeah, you're pretty much right. I didn't plan on or even expect this video to do as well as it's doing because it is ultimately just a channel update video disguised as an exposé. If I had really wanted to dive into exposing cheating, I would have focused on trying to call people out and show how you can edit the stats in the world's save files, etc. etc. I don't think hardly anyone has any need to cheat in hardcore, because if you put in the hours these guys are, you get good. Simple as that. I'm certain there are smaller channels who are abusing LAN cheats, but they're probably all either kids or lazy people trying to make a quick buck off a trend, and it's likely obvious they're faking. The only reason this video exists is to announce my hardcore series and explain how I'm going to use the penny per subscriber plan to respawn in my 'hardcore' series. I guess I just went a little too hard on the click-bait title/thumbnail combo 😅
This is a major issue that I sadly come across more often than not. It's becoming more difficult to find a Minecraft hardcore series on RUclips that isn't faked. But luckily I have found a few that I feel I can rely on. Thank you for making this video and exposing the clout chasers in the Minecraft hardcore community.
finally FINALLY someone pointed this out. I wish i found this earlier, because holy crap, even i struggle to not cheat sometimes. It sucks to lose everything halfway across the world even on normal mode, and i routinely have to install mods to prevent this open to lan cheat. Seriously, it's SO insanely easy to use that to cheat your way through the game on any difficulty.
i thought everyone knew how increadibly easy it was to turn on cheats. i just always assumed that if a hardcore youtuber dosent show the bulk of the grindy work, then there is a good chance that they are cheating
Didn't even thought that people might be faking their hardcore content, maybe i'm too oblivious (or dumb lol) to notice. Guess i gotta be more cautious to who's content i'm watching nowadays. Btw, i'm subbing. Good video!
this is why i like forge labs when he dies in hardcore he jus says it doesn't count n shows himself going into survival mode it's always funny to me n not a lie

His hardcore vids, while they're in modpacks, are multiple hours long and don't skip days, there's always a bit of recap for each days. His vids are quite fun to watch as well, I'll often put them in the background when I'm doing something, and I doubt you can fake a 3 hour video
Exactly
This is SUCH a brilliant idea! Can't wait to see this thing blow up dude :D
the background music is a little bit too loud in my opinion
I just realized I never beat Minecraft 💀
Seeing this video, i figured it would be an uncovering some creators and proof of them cheating, but seeing that you point it out for those who dont realize it was a good turn around. And then pointing out what you are going to do, and your cause of the world, I fell in love with the idea, and im excited for your adventure!
I apologize for potentially leading to you and your wife going bankrupt, but THIS VIDEO WAS SO GOOD I COULDN'T HELP BUT SUBSCRIBE! Also, the sleepless IRL hardcore sounds like a unique and fun idea (obviously sleep deprivation isn't fun, but it'll be a unique twist). Since you're likely recording right now, I would like to say good luck, and you've got this!

I THOUGHT THIS GUY WOULD BE LIKE FAMOUS!? Why does he only have 8k?? You are about to blow up. Your editing is crazy good

It's really not dangerous, if it's only 30-some hours. Unhealthy, yes. And if you were doing it on a regular basis it would be very much so, and could potentially get into somewhat dangerous territory. But as a one-time event, there's really nothing wrong with it.
Underrated skill! really I love the way your text video style !! Really cool, and yeah I'll see you in the series :)
4:05 imagine you are watching a hardcore stream. You see the player fall into huge pile of mobs. And the stream suddenly ends and a few minutes later, the stream restarts and the streamer says: "Sorry I had connection problems"
6:16 actually, you don't have to fight just spend the whole night somewhere safe
This man is gonna blow up really fast, this is some good content

You know what's the funniest thing (which you actually briefly mentioned) about the scripted/fake stuff? That pretty much noone would have an issue if you cheated for entertainment sake and just were open about it. Scripted stuff isn't bad if you don't pretend it's not

This video is critically underrated. Subbing and I hope you get more popular!
this video shortened down to two sentences:
"hardcore youtube series can be easy to fake, as the game literally has an in-game feature to respawn hardcore completely seamlessly. anyway go watch my hardcore playthrough"
Your videos are amazing, i watched this video when it came out and im super excited for the next video
"Liar! How many other lies have i been told by the council?"
Arguably, they can fly with the elytra, so it's exactly like creative, but with resource gathering.
2:35 Dream was pretty open about using a plugin to increase pearl drops in manhunts. In fact, when it came out that he cheated one of his excuses when he finally "admitted" it was that he accidentally left the manhunt plugin on.
why would he be using a multiplayer plugin in a singleplayer speedrun, that's not just something you can do on accident
@@mothgang7603 I mean, I agree. It's a pretty lame excuse. My point was that Dream was pretty transparent about improving drop rates in his manhunts.
I think the Manhunt series are scripted too. There is too much action and too many close shaves without death per episode. Dream cheating in speedruns also damages his credibility.
This dude is gonna blow up and has to pay millions
At least my goal will be achieved, right? 😅

@@outsideconfidence12 Deadass, when I see some monumental build made in legit survival I really do be like "damn”.
As long as you don’t expect others to not care, you do you

cant wait to see sleepless hardcore. ive seen a video before this talking about how minecraft content has become dull and it needs innovation like how old content needs. ive never seen sleepless hardcore and since this video has uploaded 3 months ago (from this comment), it has to be pretty genuine and time consuming keep it up.
i believe Aust made a sleepless hardcore challenge work-
To many 100 days all over my recommended finally I can hope to get a decent vid! Reminds me mumbo or was it smallishbean did a sleepless video, pretty hilarious but please don't push yourself surviving 40 hours sleep might sound easy to some but as someone who's been up for 4 days solid in a nightmare like situation (all you need to know is that I was once a paramedic in Japan)
the first 17 hours you'll feel fineish but afterwards it becomes horrible 24 hours and you body starts to slow and numb you regularly loose balance and can trip if not focused this often leads to head trauma injurys seen all to many people trip pulling an all nighter lmao at 30-36 is when a serious risk of life comes into play with all senses being damped and thinking becomes irrational and at 40 it just gets worse, while it probably won't do any long term damage if it's a one off thing it's still not healthy.
By 4 days I lost function in one eye, I was reduced to a mess who couldn't think and had to be dragged away by co workers in a similar situation because I qoute from the main doctor "If you push yourself another 10 hours you could literally drop dead the way your body's breaking down" yer it was nasty but the work I put in those 4 days was very rewarding etc
Just saying please don't push yourself to much, only just subbed but I can see you do good content I'm sure me and others wouldn't want you to hurt yourself etc
This such a good video, +subscriber. Keep up the good work
It's pretty easy to survive 100 days with no skill if you are careful and methodical about it. Basic rules:
The LTN way:
lots and lots of walls
I resonate with rule 4. I assume luck is consistently against me even in NORMAL mode
There's an even easier way: dirt hole with a bed.
@@thepandrbr rules 1-6 are just build walls
yo be VERY careful with sleep deprivation. people have experimented with it in the past and had horrendous results. 1 all nighter is one thing but pushing into multiple days is dangerous so really consider if that part is worth it
I know that every Hardcore youtuber makes backups to test some things that may kill'em

@@JoeBountyHunter i genuinely appreciate your honesty. Honesty is impressive.

Seriously, it's SO insanely easy to use that to cheat your way through the game on any difficulty.
i thought everyone knew how increadibly easy it was to turn on cheats. i just always assumed that if a hardcore youtuber dosent show the bulk of the grindy work, then there is a good chance that they are cheating
i just always assume that if they cut out the grindy aspects, they didnt want to make the viewer watch hours of grinding.
good luck with your sleepless hardcore video(even if it's been a while)
