Three main things I learnt from le journey ka snowy: 1. Plan ahead and budget with strict intentions to honor it. Ungabi yi wangawili. 2. It's not about the car you "like" (don't be lazy, shop around, shop around, shop around) 3. Be hard headed in negotiating, but be reasonable. Pick your battles carefully. Danko people's channel 🙌✨
Maybe just a suggestion for others, banks often have your professionals bank accounts say you are below 30, which if give you an option of financing your car at preferred rates: standard bank which I use, has an option where you can get Prime - 0.25 and if you talk to your banker, they can negotiate it even further for you. So you do the finance directly with your banker, instead of the dealership since the bank account offers you a dedicated banker. Hope this helps someone also out there, as they are still starting their careers.. Any little savings you can manager go a long way.
"You are expected to pay delivery fee if you are weak" 😂 The first time I got a car quote I got confused why I had to pay it and I researched the sh*t outta it. Two months later when getting another quote I straight up made it clear I'm not paying that. When they said Sir sir... ndathi nje NO!
I bought a swift last year coz I didn’t want a polo. Best decision ever! I can still afford galavanting fuel even at R25 per litter. It costs me R850 per full tank for 2 weeks daily commute to work, church and leisure. Took it for first service @ 15000km last month and received like it was new again. The customer service at Suzuki is really on another level. P.S the 1.2 engine is supper efficient if you are light on the gas paddle, and 93 unleaded lasts longer in the Swift than 95. But Nelspruit does not offer sisy fuel
@@Sinesizwe petrol is petrol to me, so anywhere I find 93 unleaded is home. I can’t speak much on maintenance coz I bought mine with just 17 km on the clock and all I do is pour petrol and wash it myself. So R1.5k is my maintenance cost. I highly recommend spending an extra R6k to extend your service plan though. Fist service was roughly R1.1k just to change the fluids, but it was on the house off course, and I mean it when I say I received my car like it was brand new again

There is great advice here for any South African buying their first car! Excellent video with sound information, especially regarding insurance and finance.
Since watching previous 2 videos I told my friend that I can now negotiate for good deals....he didn't believe me so I took him to a dealership and negotiated for a Renault kwid which costed R184k to R160k. Surprised with the results 2 days I further negotiated for car services which was supposed to cost me R4.7k to R3k .....I have reviews as proof....so all I I trying to say is that go there and just shoot your shot, that's what matters.

Hi Muzi on your statement about some people paying higher than the prime rate.........What I found out when car hunting is that for cheaper cars like Snowy banks don't make much profit if they were to finance you with a small interest rate, whereas with cars like the people's car the profit for the bank is still ample even if they were to offer you the finance at the prime lending rate. With cars that are above 1 Million you could even get finance at (prime -) because either way the bank is still milking you. Hope this helps😅😅😅
😁This is exactly what the dealership guys told me. Wesbank refused to drop the interest rate further when I offered a 10% deposit because that was gonna make the principal loan to be smaller, which means less profit for them😆😆#ThugLife
