I didn't just get the discount, the first dealership wasn't interested in negotiating, as much as I liked the car I had to walk away and try elsewhere. Know what you want, have a budget for the total MSRP and don't tell them what your monthly installment will be (to avoid a possible balloon). My discount, got it on my 4th attempt. Never commit to the first car you come across unless it's a really good deal and within your budget. Watch the video where they were on a search for a R200k car and the one where Muzi's colleague (recently bought a Suzuki Swift) pay very close attention to those videos. I didn't pay a deposit and used the point of colour e.g want the car in mountain grey but you'll take the red one instead (the one in stock) and lastly, I approached the dealer towards month end. Shoot your shot hey, if they don't go for it, try the guys next door.
I’m drive a new Baleno since July 2022 and I can say it’s a great car, no regrets…although I didn’t like the infotainment but after I connected it with android auto the magic began

This car is really great. So many nice to haves : tech, auto folding mirrors, rear pdc, climate control (it survived a Durban summer without breaking a sweat.). Also took a 2400 return trip from Durban to Cape Town. It was a so comfy. No firm harsh ride. I’m converted. I still have a Hyundai lol this is my friends car. Edit: forgot to mention the good touch steering wheel.

3 days ago I also took delivery of the Baleno GL manual in Silver just like you 😁😁😁 I used the negotiating tips I got from this channel. Kodwa it was very difficult negotiating because a lot of dealerships are out of stock and are struggling with stock for this car. So I managed to get a discount of only R3600 from the 'All in' price of R239 000, which is not bad 😁. I'm super happy with the Baleno. (Plus or minus R10k nyana, wheel caps problem solved 😂)
Eyi broe same here ..the dealer wished me luck in finding GL manual...I searched without luck...but having signed offer to purchase he had reserved it for me....when I came back..eish he had to add the delivery fees ...from Bloemfontein to durban....I had no other tricks...the smash was already fitted
Did my first mini drive with my Baleno GL auto. Im quite pleased by how it managed the busy and wet roads between cape town and Hermanus. It did however felt like it was struggling to choose between 3rd and 4th gear when taking hils. Other than that its done well.

Suzuki cars are very good.i use to own a 2013 suzuki kizashi 2.4 full house, the car has everything one could think of ,sunroof,leather seat with electronic adjustable and memory,touch screen,paddle shifts ,18 inch wheels ,it was giving an output of 140kw ,very rare car nd i met so many people with it that are now my family...very underrated car with great potential, handles way better than most Mercedes and bmws

Hey bru, if you ever in Cape town you welcome to test drive my baleno gl auto. Just to compare the manual vs auto. . I took a auto so that my dad can drive it as his a amputee . The 4 speed sounds like the gear ratios can be awful but it ain't bad at all. Much better than the ignis 4 speed auto

To get to tier level 5 you need 800+ points. You get the points by taking as many absa products as possible. Here's a list of my Absa products: 1. Cheque account 2. Credit card 3. Retirement annuity 4. Home loan 5. Insurance(For my house) 6. Savings account
The Automatic in the Baleno isn't actually an AMT hey. It is actually a 4 Spd torque converter automatic. The same one's they use in the Urban Cruiser/Vitara Brezza. But I would definitely go for the manual.

I was making a comparison between the Baleno and the Hyundai i20 then I realized that it was just a pointless thing to do, when you consider the fact that the i20 only get LED headlights and push to start button on the N-Line variant. Doesn't make any sense to me. The Baleno is slightly bigger and more fuel efficient than anything it class yet it's the cheapest 🙌🙌🙌... Let's not forget those dance moves 😎😅nailed it

If you get the the Baleno get the GLX, has 6 airbags compared to 2 airbags on the GL. Rands and cents are all very well but mean nothing when you are involved in an accident with only 2 airbags. This car would be ok at the coast but with that naturally aspirated engine and an archiac 4 speed auto in Gauteng not so nice to drive
Im looking to get the auto version of this one. My dad doesnt like manual transmission anymore. Im most surprised about the amount of space inside the car. Much bigger than a polo vivo which i currently drive

I down graded to this unit two weeks back and I am so happy. I got the GL auto though and it doesn’t make the noise that I thought it would
I want the auto 2. How are you finding the car so far ? N how is the fuel consumption?
Love it. I am on 5.5l per 100km even though the claimed is 5.7l. But I am a conservative driver. So maybe that could be the reason

One question I have about Suzuki in general, for those who can only afford second hand with no warranty are car parts available & accessible and not a nightmare like Renault?
I think thats the biggest question. I’d be interested in buying this car for my wife but a pre-owned version with maybe 30k-45k mileage. Should be less than R200k by then. But issue is parts and how easy are they to repair
Also, can it stand gravel roads on the villages the same way a vw does?
