Yep, 21 Suzuki Swift clutch burned out at 31000km and we had to pay for repairs. R7500 chopped away like it was nothing. Also, wife created some roadkill one morning, but the insurance covered 90% of the repairs which ended up being R35 000, I payed a flat R3000. the insurer is Brolink by the way. I am currently trading in the swift for the baleno automatic. Great video for info.
Love this car, I got mine January 19th 😊 all thanx to you bhuti Muzi. I have minor scratches here and there( new driver) but overall nje no other issues. When buying my first car, I didn't do much research on the car. I'm not repeating the same mistake with my 2nd one. We learn from our mistakes and I must say, Thanks to you Sir, I now know what I will be buying and already went for a test drive I'm not looking back. Baleno here I come....
I went to test drive the vehicle, and im really considering getting me one. Your reviews are very insightful. Keep doing the Lords work. I love your content.
The most painful part in your videos is hearing the "......for more car content in a mzansi context" You are the best, we even watch car reviews of cars we will never even consider buying just because of you. May you keep on growing God bless🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dr Sambo remember that infotainment systems are mostly these cheap 7 inch screens from china that have to b connected to OEM hardware so they're bound to act up. Those things cost R2000 at Cash crusaders 😂 As for the heat and switching itself off...that's a fail-safe when it encounters operating environments beyond what it was designed for. Hope this makes sense
I bought my 2022 Starlet Xs Manual in November 2022, Haven't had any issues with it, just a squeaky sound when driving in a windy day. Infotaiment yona is still okay and temperature can go up to 40 degrees celsius where I stay.
Hi Muzi, I bought my Baleno GLX from watching a lot of your videos. I bought it about two months ago and I couldn’t be more happier. It has everything I need. I’m happy with the factory audio system as well, and no issues with the screen thus far.
2:49 makes sense that it may be heat related. My samsung was inside the car with me and it started malfunctioning and within a few hours it just went dark but was ringing and getting messages ... i allowed the battery to die out and kept it in my closet for 2-3 days and recharged it and all went back to normal..mind you it was thee hottest day to be out in the city
I've noticed the same issue. This seems to happen when the dash is hotter than usual (ie sitting out in direct hot sun). I think something in the android auto circuitry(lcd maybe) is overheating tbh
@jaredishmael9635 I only have one issue with the car. It doesn't warn me when my tyre pressure is low. Everything else is flawless. I got it at 312k, the GLX AT.
been a year since the upload but it is still ncaaa.... i love your story telling skill "well done Muzi well done" as how Mr How much would have said it
I also have the 'speeding problem ' but it's not the driving school. I taught myself driving with my friend's Uncle's 2006 Toyota Yaris, that was and still is the trickiest car I've ever driven, I still stall it everytime I'm driving it after a long time of not driving it. Back to speed, would say "hai Baba faka ifutha" efuna ngi speed. I had a problem mangifika eDSchool, on open road I'll do a 100 without even noticing after many times I've been told not to go above 65.
I noticed the 17 litres per 100km on your screen. Mine doesn't change no matter how I drive, it stays at 15.7 litres per 100km. It could be because of the automatic transmission. Your content made me fall in love with the car and I don't regret buying it. Had it since last year October.
Muzi's unit option is Kilometres per litre (KM/L) not Litres per 100km (L/100km). 17km/L would equal 5.8L/100KM. Not sure if by 15.7L/100km you meant to say 15.7km/L. I am sure only a Quantum does 15.7L/100km, which is too much in this economy. So if you want to see changes in your average fuel consumption, you should reset the trip and average fuel consumption figures. How do you do that? You can reset by pressing and holding the indicator/toggle stick on the right of the instrument cluster. Firstly, make sure you press it to show AFC and then press and hold it to reset. To reset the trip, use the left indicator stick, I think trip is the distance marked as B and A is the mileage, then press then press and hold the stick, it will reset.
@@ramaiteprincy260 yes, actually you are correct it's km per litre. I'll look into toggling those sticks. It's not fuel efficient at all. I only manage 16km/l on an open road... 17km/l on Muzi's car is like a dream that is never realised.
I travelled to Venda from Pta. I managed 21km/L. Mine is a manual and I was mostly doing between 100km/h and 110km/h. My AFC urban driving is around 16km/L and 17km/L. Or 6.1L per 100km.
When your car is off. Press and hold the right dial on the daah till a menu of settings pop up. Go through them and set as you wish. You can even set the standard dash brightness and door unlock. You can set fuel consumption to reset automatically when filling up the tank. Let me know if you figure it out
This same dealership is known for their wiper blade scam. My Honda Jazz had wipers which they said were worn, after being one year old. Quoted just over R800 for all three. That was in 2011. Sold the car with the originals on, 6 years later, and they were still good. My replacement 2016 Civic hatch also sported worn blades after a year, apparently, but I declined again. In 2021, it did really need changing, so they asked around R900 for all three. I had to accept and pony up, as the aftermarket blades did not have the OEM look. What was supplied (and fitted for “free”) was three thin strips of rubber which clip on to the original wiper blade housings. This was after waiting 3 weeks for the parts to arrive, and them claiming that they cannot find it in their stock as I picked them up already! Asked them for the a copy of the signed invoice which I must have signed, and they decided to have another look, after which time they managed to locate the items in their stock room. So ja, be careful Mr Sambo.
Chief on our BMW X1 we changed the wiper blades ourself any auto parts shop should stock them just get the right size and keep the receipt in case they don’t fit
MJ I've noticed the jack you're using there, the one that usually comes with new cars. Throw that thing away brorr it's not safe as it can easily put you into trouble by falling off, better get yourselves the bottle jacks
Just got mine a week ago, definitely some funny bussines going on with the infotainment system getting some weird popup that keeps showing up intermittently.
Many Japanese cars are like that it's the same thing with Nissan they don't report when the car is due for service. Likely Nissan dealer put a sticker on the windscreen with the mileage due and the month and date.
Ay jealous down this video is pure and simple...So full of information..I still request Toyota Corolla Quest Prestige 1.3 Review and cost of ownership...Thanks in advance.
The infotainment could be because of the receiver in the car, either the bluetooth or the cable isn't completely compatible with the device and the car, try using the original cable that came with the phone when plugged in or even try querying if maintenance on the bluetooth software can be done as it is definitely their fault.
😂😂Thanks Muzi choose to extend the service plan and I only service the car wonce and I cancelled so I googled the same information that the maintenance plan is the good on now I'm busy getting Quotations so I can join Maintancance but now I also requested the bank as well to give me the Quote anyway keep up the good work bra u helpful to us evens we not speeding drivers 😂😂
The R500 for wiper blades are actually not so bad, if you go to Midas, Goldwagen, etc to buy wipers, you will pay R200 roughly, but they only last you 3-4 months, the original ones will last you 2 years at least, you do the math
They will milk you🤣, I once paid R1000 for just a rear bulb when I took my Polo for service, I made the mistake of not asking how much when the service consultant called me, I assumed it would be just under R50.
Hi Muzi Great content. I Think Suzuki cars are same as their Japanese brother Toyota. I have a corolla 2016 and etios 2019 none of them have a service reminder, its left to the driver to figure out when 15000km Corolla or 10 000 for Etios is due for service, unlike other makes like e.g. German makes cars like VW. Just an advice when changing tires especially at home it's much safer to use Jack stands to support vehicle especially when using the so called scissors jack, it's very unsafe and I've seen it fail on a number of occasions, worst of all never go under a car supported by a jack, because if it fails you could be crushed or fatally injured.
For cars without service due report ,they put sticker to remind you Muzi ,my brother drives swift it has a sticker written kilos for next service due You dont have to guess
Whats wrong with the wiper blades?could just be an upsell from the dealer bit as the revular driver you should know of wipers are not doing what they supposed to...here is a tip take a cloth/lappie with some nail polish remover on it and wipe down the blades...it will remove the gunk stuck on it and should be good to go...dont think this can be done everytime when the wipers are screeching/bouncing/not cleaning properly it wont automatically turn finished wipers to new again...mileage has no reflection on wiper condition, sometimes they just need replacing!....any good spares shop like Midas,Goldwagen etc should have a decent replacement at less cost than at agents.
Thanks Muzi for yet another awesome video, please keep up the good work I bought a Suzuki baleno gl as well in Jan 2023 It seems the infotainment system is a common problem for most owners I also have an issue with mine When I drive the car everyday to and from work I get an error on the screen that says vehicle information is unavailable, this happen every single day, I tried updating software but my usb did not pick up the downloaded software and even tried a factory reset, still no luck Do other owners also have this issue? Another thing is fuel consumption I've done 2000 Kms and my consumption is 9.1 litres per 100 Kms That's not even close to the acclaimed fuel figure of 5.7 for the auto, but also I haven't taken the car on a long drive either So a little worried about fuel consumption Any advice from you guys? Sharp
Hello, I bought my Suzuki GL Auto in Dec 2022, I have also had the problem of the 'vehicle data not available' message pop up on the screen, happens like once a week. I haven't reported it to the dealer yet, but maybe I now should. Otherwise I don't have any other issues with the infotainment system. My other negative is that I find the lights in night driving to not be very bright and effective, I always end up using the brights. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with my Baleno. I'm currently on 14 kms per liter.
@@muhammedkhandookhee4631 Thanks Muhammed for the feedback How long does it take for the automatic version to achieve lower fuel consumption The dealership will just tell u it's some software issue, they are awaiting new software rollout, that's what they told me If we update our software versions i think this could alleviate the issue Just Google baleno infotainment software update and u will find the software site. Other than that the car is really nice, was a good buy, drives like some premium car for the price
I've never experienced that problem before on my Baleno. The only thing I've seen as a problem is a pop up message that says "Vehicle Data Not available", then I press 'Okay' and nothing happens afterwards
Thank you for the informative videos.Do you have a separate video with other costs associated with owning this specific car like how much a tire change costs and how often and spare parts costs, you know nje other costs other than instalments insurance petrol etc?

The infotainment could be because of the receiver in the car, either the bluetooth or the cable isn't completely compatible with the device and the car, try using the original cable that came with the phone when plugged in or even try querying if maintenance on the bluetooth software can be done as it is definitely their fault.
Any video on Toyota CHR, love the car and I know I can't afford it😭😭😔😔🙆🙆
😂😂Thanks Muzi choose to extend the service plan and I only service the car wonce and I cancelled so I googled the same information that the maintenance plan is the good on now I'm busy getting Quotations so I can join Maintancance but now I also requested the bank as well to give me the Quote anyway keep up the good work bra u helpful to us evens we not speeding drivers 😂😂
My best youtuber🥺❤
Muzi which is cheaper to extend service plan or go and service at your own dealer shop. My car is out the service plan that came up with
Listening to Muzi is addictive😊You learn while laughing, comedy at its best 👆
The R500 for wiper blades are actually not so bad, if you go to Midas, Goldwagen, etc to buy wipers, you will pay R200 roughly, but they only last you 3-4 months, the original ones will last you 2 years at least, you do the math
True, R500 is quite reasonable. I only said NO because my wipers are still fine, the dealer was just trying to milk me.
They will milk you🤣, I once paid R1000 for just a rear bulb when I took my Polo for service, I made the mistake of not asking how much when the service consultant called me, I assumed it would be just under R50.
Nice one MJ! As always
Please can you do a video of mazda 3(skaysport), the version before the latest one.
For cars without service due report ,they put sticker to remind you Muzi ,my brother drives swift it has a sticker written kilos for next service due
You dont have to guess
I got this car my boy, it was a good choice over the Tiago 2 Pro. 😊
Considering to buy this car but wany to wait out a bit and hear more about issues before I unloaded the silly SUV on my books.
Muzi ca you please elaborate on disadvantages of buying car cash or swiping for vehicle purchase
If u want quality wipers get borsch product quality and it's just under R220 last time I checked.
i like your reviews man
Thanks Muzi for yet another awesome video, please keep up the good work
I bought a Suzuki baleno gl as well in Jan 2023
It seems the infotainment system is a common problem for most owners
I also have an issue with mine
When I drive the car everyday to and from work I get an error on the screen that says vehicle information is unavailable, this happen every single day, I tried updating software but my usb did not pick up the downloaded software and even tried a factory reset, still no luck
Do other owners also have this issue?
Another thing is fuel consumption
I've done 2000 Kms and my consumption is 9.1 litres per 100 Kms
That's not even close to the acclaimed fuel figure of 5.7 for the auto, but also I haven't taken the car on a long drive either
So a little worried about fuel consumption
Any advice from you guys?

Thanks Muhammed for the feedback
How long does it take for the automatic version to achieve lower fuel consumption
The dealership will just tell u it's some software issue, they are awaiting new software rollout, that's what they told me
If we update our software versions i think this could alleviate the issue
Just Google baleno infotainment software update and u will find the software site.
Other than that the car is really nice, was a good buy, drives like some premium car for the price
9.1L/100KM is too much, I average 5.1 and I've been driving this car for the past 3 months. Maybe reset your settings
@@bennetndlovu1042
Thanks Bennet how do i do that?
It's how you said NO for me
I have experienced the screen problem with my suzuki swift and the screen was switching itself on and off but now it's back to normal.
This is so amazingly useful! 🤭
Dr keep the videos coming >>>
I've never experienced that problem before on my Baleno. The only thing I've seen as a problem is a pop up message that says "Vehicle Data Not available", then I press 'Okay' and nothing happens afterwards
I have the same message. No idea what to do
Hi I have the same thing that happens in my Baleno too.
Same here, I also just press okay/cancel on the 'vehicle data not available' and move on with my life
Im so happy with the Baleno, my only struggle is that the interior rearview mirror makes cars seem closer than they are. Is it just me?
Mr Sambo speeding is a natural thing for young ones can't complain lol... Like you videos though
Thank you for the informative videos.Do you have a separate video with other costs associated with owning this specific car like how much a tire change costs and how often and spare parts costs, you know nje other costs other than instalments insurance petrol etc?
You know Toyota has wear & tear plan for those brake pads and stuff, of course you have to pay it monthly does Suzuki have it?
muzi i recently purchased a Mc leren 570s and i sold my bmw m4 and my range rover and my v class now i have no daily driver and the Mc leren is not very reliable i treid to start the car in the morning to go to work and the infortament screen was really being a pain it was doing the same thing that your R200k suzuki is doing please make a video on a second car for R550k-R850k thats my budget thank you
"here is my chance to shine"😀
