Thanks for sharing! I got my first car as a Kia Picanto and am so happy with it. I saved up and put down a big deposit (about 50%) and paid instalments, I am in the last month of paying it off after less than 3 years.
Great video 💛. I think one thing that's important to consider when getting one of the low budget cars is car safety. One should consider number of airbags and if the car has ABS braking, etc.
Exactly what I needed to see❤. Please talk about which is best when being financed by the bank; taking your deposit and paying ot upfront to reduce later costs or after a 2/3 months paying the deposit ,I've heard different opinions on what lowers the overall cost.
Glad I could help ♥️. For banks, there’s no specific bank that’s the “best” it’s all about which bank offers you the best interest rate. The rate is what’s key. And often if you have a good credit score you’ll get a good rate however if you’re a recent graduate without much credit, a young professionals bank account may assist because they give favourable rates to graduates 🙏🏾☺️. I’ve left a link in the description box for that video which explains further. Then in terms of paying your deposit upfront vs 2-3 months in? Mathematically it’s better to pay it upfront so that any interest calculated on your balance thereafter is on a smaller balance however people might enjoy paying a lumpsum later because they can VISIBLY see their instalment go lower (e.g. first 3 months instalment was R5 059 then month 4 onwards it’s like R4 500). I hope this helps🙏🏾. Also play around with the finance calculator and see what works for you. I

The worst part about those installments is that they probably come with 35% balloon payment and a linked interest rate which is the worst thing ever!! Cars are so expensive I'd rather save for 2 years to pay cash then pay installments for 5-6 years!! All cars are expensive!!
🤣🤣🤣😭☹️ not gonna lie, I thought cars were like R1K a month when I was car shopping. You can get a Bajaj for approx R95K but I didn’t include it because it’s a first-mile and last-mile vehicle (I.e. for deliveries) so I didn’t think it would be appropriate to include here 💔.

Hi Sis Nokuhle I currently drive a Ford Figo 2017. I am looking though into getting a starlet, something brand new would not hurt at all. But nevertheless I am not complaining 💐. Thanks for the informative vids #roadto100k💥
Please stay away from Datsun - Nissan has been building junk lately, it will cost you an arm and leg to fix. Renault - any French cars will drain your pocket - very complicated designs so labour is too high and parts are not easily available. Toyota, Suzuki, Kia and Hyundai (preferably those made in Seoul - South Korea) highly recommended.
I bought a VW Polo Sedan which was previously a demo. My instalments are R3600. I am looking to get a new car but its so hard to wrap my head around these new instalments amounts. 🤣 Also, since I am used to the space in my car, its so hard to even look at something like Picanto. Side note: I got my car during covid, so that was also a big factor.

Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 wishing you all the best with your dream car. I know for a fact you’re going to get it in CASH- especially with your great track record 👌🏾
Was hoping to find the Nissan Magnite in the list. . . I think it also would've helped to include the service plan and warranty the dealerships give with their new cars as they can also be factored into what you're saving and paying for extend warranty or a service plan after the ones that come with the car run out would bring about extra monthly running costs for the car.
Ooohh I definitely did miss that one! Nissan Magnite R227 900 (approx R4 759 monthly instalment) ✨. With regards to service and maintenance plans, so it’s hard to factor this in because this information is not always readily available in the market. So what I’ve done is used the costs mentioned on the website and some dealers have already included this whilst others haven’t. But because I wanted people to be aware of these additional costs, I explicitly mentioned it in the assumptions to say I did not go the extra mile of deliberately including it. I do try my best to bring you guys accurate information however certain elements will require your personal initiative unfortunately 🙏🏾. But thank you so much for raising this ☺️ I know a lot of other people may find help in this comment.
😂🙏🏾 yeah a lot of us look at small cars and automatically assume “cheap”. Similar to how a polo back then was an “entry-level car but now it’s featuring at the very end.
First time watching the video, just subscribed immediately....big up sisi wami. I've already bought my Suzuki swift in December - perfect car, i love it. Yes its an entry level but i love it to bits. I would recommend it for first time owners, 1.2 GA. It's nice owning Suzuki. Keep up the informative videos coming. I'm sharing the video to my brother and friends
LOVE to hear this 🥹!! Suzuki Swift is definitely a new fave of mine. I love its design and price point. Congratulations Daniel 🏆 you're winning big time.
Been watching this video many times and finally narrowed down search to Celerio or Agya. With the way car prices are set up, I opted for a demo Agya. Can’t afford a brand new and with a demo, still have comfort of the warranty.
Eyyy I love your taste in cars Lerato 👊🏽!! I've already done a review of affordable SUVs/Family Cars (link: ruclips.net/video/Q8T5Sr3vwFo/видео.htmlsi=DYHUILOKqnkTLjtU) But maybe it's time I also look into mid-luxury SUVs 🧐... I'll definitely keep this in mind and maybe drop a video on it in a few weeks.
Wanted a Hyundai i20 but ended up with my second choice, Hyundai grand i10 (Demo). Was looking for a second hand car cos cars are not cheap. Luckily I got a demo. I feel like it’s still a bit pricy but we move 😊
I also contemplated getting a Grand i10 for my first car but the car salespeople were rude/ didn't give me much attention when I went there the first time so I ended up scratching it off my list because I didn't want to be dealing with attitude before I even spent my money ☹️. We could've been twinning.
@@nokuhlekumalo Exactly, we can not be purchasing something so big with bad energy! I hate rude people! Looking for a car is physically, mentally and financially exhausting! The last thing we need is to deal with rude sales people! God had better plans and look where you are right now 🤗🫶
Omg would you believe me if I told you it’s been discontinued???😨 You can only buy it in the second hand market now, hence it didn’t make the list ( cause these are brand new). Trust me, I definitely wanted to include it ☹️
Arg Teachers, no matter the strain you're under with being underpaid and so many issues, taking it out on the kids is never the answer. And I am not assuming that the teacher is unsatisfied. Please please the children are a priority. You had a chance as a teacher to be gentle with the children, please. Please please that should not have happened. Let's do better teachers❤

😂🙏🏾 yeah a lot of us look at small cars and automatically assume “cheap”. Similar to how a polo back then was an “entry-level car but now it’s featuring at the very end.
cAR tracker is not good.
go for MATRIX tracker guys.
Very informative, Thankyou😊. I’m new and here to stay!❤😊
Toyota Vitz😮 yoh haa. When did cars become so expensive.
CA(SA)… yass gyal! 😅 Great content, adds a lot of value to young SAns.
I wish I was already old feel like I'm in jail but in school😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😢❤❤
Lol yoh, is there any car thats got a payment of less than R3000, goodness gracious 😅 😂.
I guess I'll be a Johnny Walker for for a while lol.
Been watching this video many times and finally narrowed down search to Celerio or Agya. With the way car prices are set up, I opted for a demo Agya. Can’t afford a brand new and with a demo, still have comfort of the warranty.
My first car was a Honda edix, secondly polo 6, golf 5 then Bmw 520i. Next I’d like to see a review on the SUVs
Eyyy I love your taste in cars Lerato 👊🏽!!
I've already done a review of affordable SUVs/Family Cars (link: ruclips.net/video/Q8T5Sr3vwFo/видео.htmlsi=DYHUILOKqnkTLjtU)
But maybe it's time I also look into mid-luxury SUVs 🧐... I'll definitely keep this in mind and maybe drop a video on it in a few weeks.
@@nokuhlekumalo thanks I’ll definitely check it out
Thank you, will do plus am looking a buying a car soon.
I was hoping to see the Nissan Magnite
God had better plans and look where you are right now 🤗🫶
Thought the Hyundai Atos would make the list :(
Omg would you believe me if I told you it’s been discontinued???😨
You can only buy it in the second hand market now, hence it didn’t make the list ( cause these are brand new).
Trust me, I definitely wanted to include it ☹️
Such valuable information... Thank you ❤
Arg Teachers, no matter the strain you're under with being underpaid and so many issues, taking it out on the kids is never the answer. And I am not assuming that the teacher is unsatisfied. Please please the children are a priority. You had a chance as a teacher to be gentle with the children, please. The kid will never forget that horrible experience because you can tell they really wanted to be part of the classroom process. And not having stationary came between that? Please please that should not have happened. Let's do better teachers❤
Another car, similar to a toyota starlet is a suzuki Baleno, it is a really nice car 😅
Perfect thank you Sis Nokuhle, especially on the car track feature
Hi Nokuhle what about Hyundai Venue
Thank you , kodwa yoh cars are so expensive
Thank you for always coming through with the best advice ever❤
I bought Toyota Corolla quest 2018 as a used car, demo. So far I am not complaining except the petrol consumption but I am not complaining it's just that I am broke
😂🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 ahhhh this is nice!! I’m happy to hear your car is treating you well. Toyota is known to build long lasting cars so atleast you know that vehicle is going to last you for many years 🤞🏽.
Mina I’m scared to buy a car hey. I’ve been procrastinating
Ahh don’t be scared 🫂 I have a whole playlist on my channel on the car buying process + what to expect + what to look out for. So you’ll be perfectly fine.
I also have a book (if you want a bit more research) that has multiple sections including buying a car. It’s available on www.lomaku.co.za if you want to check it out.
But all in all, you’ve got this ☺️🚀 and I can’t wait to say congratulations when you make your purchase!!
@hlonilesedi 😂😂😂 you’re not alone, I’ve been procrastinating aswell
I’m looking at buying an Opel Corsa 1.2T
I was expecting Suzuki Balleno which look exactly like starlet
