Personally I don't think it is. Grilled or cooked in the oven is much better in my experience. Just add some lemon oil and realize simpler can be better.

@@georgiospapaioannou-xc9pbI'm going to respectfully disagree. Wood smoke imparts an amazing flavor, and I believe that it speaks to us on a primal level since our ancestors cooked all of their food using wood fire for thousands of years until we invented cooking with oils, natural gas, or electricity. You like it pan seared? Cook it in an iron skillet over a campfire, and tell me that ain't good.

ChatGPT says: To estimate the number of aluminum atoms that might be absorbed by fish wrapped in aluminum foil and roasted, we need to consider several factors, including the surface area of the foil, the potential for aluminum leaching, and the conditions of cooking. Here's a step-by-step approach:
    ### Assumptions and Simplifications
    1. **Surface Area**: 1.5 square feet of foil is approximately 1394 square centimeters (since 1 square foot = 929 cm²).
    2. **Thickness of Foil**: Standard aluminum foil is about 0.016 millimeters thick.
    3. **Leaching Rate**: Aluminum leaching rates can vary, but studies suggest that under high-temperature cooking, approximately 1-2 milligrams of aluminum can leach into food per 100 grams of food. For this estimate, we'll use a leaching rate of 1.5 mg per 100 grams.
    4. **Fish Weight**: Assume the fish weighs about 500 grams (a common weight for a meal-sized fish).
    ### Calculations
    1. **Determine the leaching amount**:
    - 500 grams of fish x (1.5 mg / 100 grams) = 7.5 mg of aluminum.
    2. **Convert milligrams to moles**:
    - Molar mass of aluminum (Al) = 26.98 grams per mole.
    - 7.5 mg = 0.0075 grams.
    - Moles of aluminum = 0.0075 grams / 26.98 grams per mole ≈ 0.000278 moles.
    3. **Convert moles to atoms**:
    - Avogadro's number = \( 6.022 \times 10^{23} \) atoms per mole.
    - Number of atoms = 0.000278 moles × \( 6.022 \times 10^{23} \) atoms/mole ≈ \( 1.675 \times 10^{20} \) atoms.
    ### Conclusion
Approximately \( 1.675 \times 10^{20} \) aluminum atoms might be absorbed by the fish when wrapped in 1.5 square feet of aluminum foil and roasted in a very hot barbecue. This is a rough estimate and can vary based on actual cooking conditions, the acidity of the food, and the specific type of aluminum foil used.
