@@dirt_and_diesel We're working on swapping an 8000 Ford's 401 with a 456 Genesis, ours should be much more straight forward because the Genesis is a 6 bolt crank, not from a Combine. Way to go, that's a lot of work man.
@@ActionEHamshraershV nice! Yeah I didn’t know about the 8 bolt setup until I got to that part so it was unexpected. 6 bolt should be way easier and if it has the single V belt setup on the regular timing gears on the front, also easier. There wasn’t one of those engines available when I was looking otherwise that would have been a bit time saver for me
@@dirt_and_diesel obviously in the current environmental situation we find the world in, consideration should be at the for front of the effects of the smoke… meh sod it, No poke without smoke 😁😁
just have an eye-ball at the check-valve in that little banjo at the top front end of the pump.....it is known for the spring to break and the ball to come unseated allowing diesel to flow directly to the return line instead of holding it around the plungers
Ohh, this is new information and you actually might be onto something. I didn’t even think about the fact that it is flowing straight through the return. I’ll have a look next time I’m with it. Good spot
Wow some one put back in the rear bolt on the starter 😳🤣😁. You boys like a challenge don't ya 👍🏻. Keep up the good work and adaptions. Stay safe 🏴
I have one of those ford tractor and a new Holland engine bought it 3 years ago for 2500 hundred dollars with 7 pieces of equipment it is a ford 4000 with a new Holland 3 cylinder engine
you need to power up or move the stop lever by hand to get it to let fuel out pump, its the elec stop thats stopping it, i cant belive you didnt work it out or no one else here has said about it,
I think everyone else has realised that I did do that. That’s why there’s a second person there holding it. It’s not rocket science how a stopper works, I’ve since found the problem to be a missing spring in the fuel overflow valve meaning there’s not internal pressure in the injector pump… can’t believe you didn’t work that out
I tnink I have found Josh's' sister lol. I just started watching the beginning of episode 5 The Peripheral on Prime and a woman appeared and I shouted to Geoff. Doesn't she look like Josh and he said oh my goodness, she does lol
Great to have you back. Looking forward to see the Ford working.
Can't wait to see this marvel working. Good luck with everything.

That third hole is just somewhere to store the spare bolt 😂
Why not use the oil pick up off the other engine?
It’s a completely different oil pump and position
great to see som progress being made was enjoying this series, does that pump not have an electric solenoid o it for the fuel shut off.
It does but the solenoid just controls an external lever so it can be used manually
Cracking video!
Good working old Ford tractor and new engine engine very good setting please sir for tractor video watching and send me
What model of NW mount this engine? Congratulations
You need make sure that oil pick up pipe is well down in the oil
Blue engine BSD 666 ?
Yellow engine 675 ? (NH seria G)?
Pozdrawiam 😉.
What are you going to do about the power steering pump
I’m going to try and use a priority feed off the rear hydraulics for it
@@dirt_and_diesel I heard of guys doing that but not sure how good it works
Now then owd spitter! Doing a bit, leaving a bit?

👍
dont scrap the old engine, use it as a spare parts engine
There’s nothing much of use on the old one now, nothing that’s left fits the yellow engine
@@dirt_and_diesel always good to have them, they are useful some of the parts, to other engines, you can make Money by Selling the parts
I can buy a new fuel bowl over here for $20
