I admire the fact you are completely unintimidated by the size or complexity of any task you may face in your daily work. The sheer force of your positive attitude and work ethic is admirable and then to hear you give a "shout out" to someone you have encountered and are impressed by is a recommendation of the highest order backed by a solid source. As always, Warren, thanks for taking the time and effort to share your craft.
Great off you to give Alex a Shout Out,, After the look up he is based in Tamworth,, Country Music Capital, Country Music Awards Aust, Day In January goes for good week. Out that way and plenty of other places here in Australia its drought time just been no rain, We have many country towns running out of water... Farmers are struggling with the lack of water, As we know in a drought no crops, big reduction in cattle that means no cash flow.. Farmers doing it hard so its wonderful when someone can help them out on something that can be expensive...
I had one customer who was charged over $12k for a gearbox problem that turned out to be a $25 dollar switch I diagnosed over the phone...I cut myself short a lot but the feeling of helping people who are struggling is what I live for. Great videos! You are definitely an old school workhorse. That is very much a compliment, and I am absolutely amazed at your energy level ! Even with editing, you tag in some long, physically demanding hours. Not to mention mentally-with remembering how these various machines go back together! Keep up the great videos please. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Credit where it is due young man you certainly put the hours in and bring knowledge with you! That crane on your service truck is a beast, I so wish I had one but here in the UK we don't have service trucks like you guys stateside. An awesome bit of kit and valuable tool to have. Stay safe and beware tiredness when working such long hours.
Keep up the great work Warren, thank you for sharing your knowledge and approach, life in the field does not equal life in the airconditioned OEM repair centre!
i enjoy watching ur videos a lot. reminds me of yrs back when my dozer would break down, and our mechanic would come out to work on it then. no air tools or battery run ones either, all by hand back then. lol thanks
Yea it’s pretty cold here in K Falls right now but the weather is supposed to warm up for a few days before fall/winter sets in. Keep up the great work. 👍🏼
I always like watch you work on stuff where's it's an old cat or newer stuff. Hard to believe an engine went down at 1900 hrs. Wow. Thanks for sharing.
Warren, I am bloody knackered watching this video.............time for a beer, amazing worker (not easy when you work on your own with nobody to throw ideas at) thankyou.
Yeah, ditto what MC said. Your a good man Warren. Really interesting show. I drive truck for a living and you have kept those long miles flying by, one end of the country to the next, I'm in your neck alot. Really cool to see you use Justin's impact he have you. Watch him alot too, you guys rock..
Maybe a helpful trick, maybe not. You may already know this. I have taken a variety of sizes of long bolts and cut the heads off of them. For example with the flywheel in this video or the transmission on the JD a few videos back. Take a couple of these bolts and partially screw them in and use them as guide/alignment pins. Thanks for all the great videos!
Goodyear Horizon hose. It's heavy as hell, but damn near bulletproof. My dad's old shop hose is still totally uncracked after 30 years, even though it's spent over a quarter of its life outside in the sun. Got all the usual shop chemicals on it, never really ever cleaned - only damage is some fading. Of course, 50 feet of 1/2", with 1/2" steel Tru-Flate on both ends, weighs about 50 pounds. And it is pretty stiff, like reinforced rubber hose usually is. Minimum coil is about 14". But it doesn't get *stiffer* even when it's just dug out of the snow. We use a 10 foot stinger of cheap 3/8" hose to get some flexability on the tool end.
As someone who is surrounded by non-mechanical types, you’re the neighbor I truly wish I had. “I’ll trade you a handful of sawbucks, a case of Meister Brau........if you can show me how to time a 3 cylinder diesel fuel pump”......would be my type of questions. Great video, keep up the fantastic work!
One of the things I love about ya Warren straight up, no bullshit tell it like it is and the work is done right and you have a high standard behind the work you do. I can see why guys bring their stuff to you and why you seem swamped all the time
1900 hours and she's toast!!!? That SUCKS!! But not unheard of.... $10k for the new engine is pretty good!!! Last one we had to replace was in the combine.. right at $20k with a factory reman by the time it was back in the field.. could have been less, but it was in the middle of harvest. Other recent one (10 years ago??) Was in a tractor, that one got an in frame... I think it was $12k when we got it back. Time is money, money is time.... Thanks for the video!!!
it is nice to Hear a " Pay it forward" word . This is worldwide " Networking" . when this swap is complete, would/do you I.D. the motor as a swap with changes? You have had tractor trailer cab with a mishmash of swap parts that caused confusion.
I would change the front prop shaft and bearing as you already have the front axle out as in the you uk they fail around the 3000h mark. The NF engine don't normally have engine problems we have only had one go in the last 7years since I've been work for new Holland & jcb! dealer
Gotta say it's the first time I've seen a nh with an engine fault, work at a nh dealership and never had am nh come in or heard of one for that matter with an engine defect
hi there mate nice videos " tell me what runs your air compressor on the service truce " seems like a pretty neat setup " I am in New Zealand doing light commercial servicing so would be keen to know Cheers keep up the great work
Tbh if you never serviced it an engine should last longer than 1900 hrs. I'd say the original engine was doomed from day one, either something was installed badly and was missed during quality control or there was a faulty part used which failed and led to complete engine failure.
I own this tractor, i bought it two years ago with 1300 hundred hours. I disked and chisled with it. I gave it a full service twice since I bought it reilowski. Its easy to sit behind your computer and take shots at someone else’s misfortune.
Three questions do you think the engine was not broke in correctly or poorly assembled and last question you mentioned about the horsepower difference do u think the injectors will be different I thought there is differences between the size too on horsepower
Sir, I have a question What kind of method do i use to get valve clearance on NH220 Cummins? The Inner base circle method or outer base Circle Method ?? Thanks.
I pray you swapped the New Filters back to the New engine as soon as you finished swapping the Filter Manifold ! Don't want to feed the new engine the same poison that killed the old one. sdh in CT
That last tractor with the black smoke, surely that suggests over fuelling, or blocked air cleaner rather than a bad turbo....last time I had a blown turbo it was thick white smoke......

Man that was one short summer you had over there.thanks for the vid.
Warren, I am bloody knackered watching this video.............time for a beer, amazing worker (not easy when you work on your own with nobody to throw ideas at) thankyou.
It's easier by yourself, then you don't spend all your time arguing on how to do it, you just do it.
I personally know Alex.
I can vouch for him, he'll do anything he can to get you back on the road or back in the crop.

Great job, master mechanic Warren, you do the best video's, thank you so much.
Dangggggg ! .. that long-block looks pretty complete ..it even looked like it came with the pilot bushing in the crank-end ..Nice score..Nice work !
man i wish you would send some of that cooler weather down to lower alabama, i am so tired of 90+. thanks for your time.
Interesting content Warren, thanks for the video!
Something tells me you're going to be in for one hell of a winter this year wherever you are.
Jeffrey Murdock so does the farmers almanac, gsm coming in early.
His main shop is in Macdoel California.
I follow wellker farms in Montana, and even in late September, they already had a foot of snow!

Be interesting to see what’s gone a drift in that engine as they don’t normally give much bother.
Well done Warren another great video
Interested to see wat was wrong with old engine . Enjoy your videos man keep it up
Great video!!!
Lucky he found that engine.... FPT is in short supply and horribly undersupported around here. Real issues with Case applications
Ya, I've been trying to find a FPT engine for a Case SR200 skidloader. No luck.

Good video Warren keep them coming mate
Geez! I can see his breath! It’s hitting 100 here today!
Them fiatagri engine are unreal. Great engines.

Every time we've done a direct swap out engine, something always throwed a monkey wrench in the mix. Either a pulley or bracket. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Great content as always.
Curious to see if either of you checked to see if that was a bad series of engines, which might explain the "good" price?
Gotta say it's the first time I've seen a nh with an engine fault, work at a nh dealership and never had am nh come in or heard of one for that matter with an engine defect

Looks like fumigation poly all baled up to be recycled
hi there mate nice videos " tell me what runs your air compressor on the service truce " seems like a pretty neat setup " I am in New Zealand doing light commercial servicing so would be keen to know Cheers keep up the great work
It is run off of hydraulics, the transmission has a pto that drives a pump. Very good and quiet but also expensive.
@@rharris5811 I suspected as much and some sort of pressure regulator that switches the fluid back to a tank I suspect nice setup
Great video again Warren, you look well wrapped up? is it getting cold ?
Damn it's already cold there? We are still in the upper 90's here in Texas.
Great job 👍👍👍!
10grand aint bad, I was at the cat dealer checking out stuff and they wanted $60,000 for a on road motor its crazy
Je ben echt een held op gebied van motoren knap man echt
What would cause all of that crap in the turbo with low hours?
Long ideling hours, or bad fuel. Also lots of oil burining.
Long idling at low engine speed. You should idle the engine to a higher level when doing that.
Salut tank you vidéo magnifique bravo
Don’t know what happened to last motor, but I hope he cleans his air filter and changes the oil on this one. Doubt he will find this deal again.

wvmeg we all been there. Hope it works better now.
Makes you wonder if it was a manufacturer defect or if the engine was sucking dust in to fail so soon.
👍👍 have to try and get in touch with him see where in strayla he is in might be able to help me with my issue

Haven't had a chance to work on it.
Warren awesome videos!!!!!! You know your shit my friend.... just curious, what do u like doing best?

You should invest in a hose reel and mount it on the back of your truck
I there is one there already, it's 1/2 inch hose which I use with the big guns
Why are you not tightening things in a star pattern? This is standard in the repair industry when tightening fasteners (star pattern).
Are you still looking to hire someone for help?
Looks like ya got lucky & most everything fit between engines?
dang! gettin er done!
Smash the thumbs up button ya doodle whackers, make this channel again and again, needs three thumbs up buttons.
Does using the truck engine to power all the extensions (air, crane etc) count as harmful idling? Or is it designed with it in mind?
Harmful idling is only a problem to the brain dead liberal legislature in CA and of course to the vacuous citizenry that elected them!
From the engines point of view it’s probably not the nicest thing. For emissions, fuck it!
Id be spoiled as milk left in the sun if i had that crane too. 😆 it helped make light work of the job.
what do you use to flush/clean oil coolers?
warren gloves datenight?
Sir, I have a question What kind of method do i use to get valve clearance on NH220 Cummins? The Inner base circle method or outer base Circle Method ?? Thanks.
Do they change anything physically between different hp engines (cheaper parts on lower hp engines?), Or is it strictly software?
Software
it's either 40 below, or that's some cheesy air hose Warren!
God damm man eyes straight forward hair straight back and bolls to the wall . Just a givin er eh

That last tractor with the black smoke, surely that suggests over fuelling, or blocked air cleaner rather than a bad turbo....last time I had a blown turbo it was thick white smoke......
Intake impeller on turbo was broke
Ahhh. That’s a different kind of turbo failiure than I expected. I was thinking more like bad oil seals allowing oil into the exhaust.
