      ( worth adding for newer players that Qxe5+ could not be stopped as the knight on e6 is king-pinned by bishop on b5 )

    • @Christian_counsel
      @Christian_counsel 7 месяцев назад

      @@coast_valleyshould have played b6 instead

    • @SirSX3
      @SirSX3 4 месяца назад

      @@Christian_counsel what does b6 accomplish? Do you mean g6?
      If g6, then Queen can still take the e5 pawn because the knight is absolutely pinned, and it forks the king and the rook.
      The only move I can find is Bd6 to protect the e5 pawn.

    The mistake is after bishop takes the knight, the pawn takes and e5 is defenceless so the queen can take with check

    • @alexwangombe8534
      @alexwangombe8534 Год назад

      technically you don’t even need to take the knight first, you can actually take the pawn first as the knight is pinned; stockfish rates both of these moves about equally with a slight preference for queen takes first

    • @andremarques1088
      @andremarques1088 Год назад

      Oh I thought almost the same thing but I first would capture the knight on c6 first, white takes, damaging his structure and then Queen takes on e5 with check. Basically the same thing but in this version black has doubled pawns

    • @uzbekpod
      @uzbekpod Год назад

      @Trisfu dude, I was thinking of maybe he could check the king over there. Let's see what Alessia says))

    • @120oz
      @120oz Год назад

      @@uzbekpod white maybe up a pawn but blacks pawn structure gets better because of the long pawn chain, as of the queen checking wouldn't be the best move because then you would have to move your queen elsewhere and none of your pieces are developed so yeah black is up in that position.
