I happened to want learn the Sicilian defence more, so great timing of you uploading a vid with this opening whilst playing with the Grob account Alessia, bellissimo, Grazie ❤️ As you know, love your fun, instructive content ^^
Sicilian Defense is so OP at lower levels because nobody knows theory and Black often gets an advantage right out of the opening if the White player doesn’t know what they’re doing.
I've never liked the Sicilian defense, too much theory and lines. But I like the way you explain the reasons behind some movements, like Qc7. With more videos like this, I would definetively give it a try!. Thanks!
I've heard a lot of good things about the Sicilian... I also know that the Sicilian can be very complicated and with a lot of theory... would you recommend use it for a
I used to play chess online quite a bit, more than 10 years ago. I would go up and down in rating, 1400s, 1500s, 1400s, 1500s, 1600s, 1500s, 1600s. One day I hit 1700, exactly. And then I stopped for a while. It was nice being 1700s, why ruin it? And then I decided, it's kind of nice not playing chess. It's such a struggle, such a brutal game, there are likely much better ways to spend my time. And so I never played online again. 1700, frozen in time. I'm still fascinated by chess, though, so I can't help but watch chess videos online, and my favorite channel on all of RUclips is called... AlessiaSanteramo. You have great positive and inspiring energy. So I decided to also sign up on Twitch and watch. Hmm, what name should I use? I meditated a bit, and then it hit me. Free cheese macaroni! (Yes, that was me, first time on Twitch this morning.) Then! I liked the name so much, I decided to see if it was available, and it was. So I took it. I also considered, I'm still too afraid to mess up my old 1700 rating! I can start new, and not worry about my rating. Perhaps I'll just play one game every now and then, and be sure to analyze my games and learn from them. So I played a game, and I won. And I played another, and I won. And another, and won. And so on. I've played 10 games, and won all of them. My rating is 1921! My account probably looks suspicious AF. Perhaps I've been a bit lucky with my opponents messing up even more than me, and my luck will likely run out soon. Or perhaps all of the chess videos I've been watching have actually sunk in? I was always a bit of a timid player, but in these ten games, I found myself sometimes thinking things like, "oh, I remember when Alessia played, she captured that pawn with the knight and got more control in the center" or "when Alessia played, she moved the bishop to g5, not f4" or "I'm not concerned about that, I'm just going to keep developing my pieces" or "queen side castle, and then, push! push! push!" or "wait, there's an intermezzo!" I know you put a lot into your videos, so I wanted to share this success with you :)
It does work. Ppl say its complex cause there are many lines of theory and many possibilities but I don't know any theory and im 1800. If anything, choose between open or closed sicilian, or play and learn a sideline, my personal favorite is the mengarini variation
It can work but you really can't just play Sicilian with no theory. There are a lot of lines and a lot of tactics in the Sicilian. Study and just playing lots of (unrated) games are needed to get you familiar with all the positions that can arise from this rich, sharp opening. Use the Wiki page as a starting point and branch out from there. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sicilian_Defence
Really? "This knight does nothing there"? 🤣🤣🤣 That sounds like something "Boston Mike" would say. 🤓 My brain is producing so many RPM right now I am worried it could get overheated 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't wanna be hursh, but as flowing and instructional it seems, against an average 1500's players is not big deal.I mean I saw a lot of GM against higher rated opponents going with Sicilian & different openings indeed. Not against somebody blundering Rook on move 6.
I understand your point, I'm doing this speedrun to show people the actual mistakes chess players do at each level (& how to punish them). The rating of my opponents is increasing with every video
I like your explanations of each move, they are clear and smart
Thank you!
Ok i think i'll start recommending this channel as you deserve some more attention in the YT algorithms and beyond. Keep it up.

500 elo is special when it comes to something other than e5 or d5
@@SuhbanIo I wouldn’t know because I’m not stuck at 500 ELO like you are
@@SuperChessGames ok that hurt a bit

Thank you! I have to learn this
All the games were great to explain the idea of Sicilian defence 🙌❤️✨
Glad you liked it
Could you play Italia game, the evans gambit
Thankyou so much for the valuable videos
I don't know what is more attractive, your chess or your wits
In the first game the engine says ndb5 is the best move to sacrifice the knight so you capture with the other knight and gain the d6 square
Need more sicilian !!!😂😂 miss the "ROOK" Sacrifice😂😂
7:28 Non potevi vincere la regina attirando il re con Re8+?
in game three they can play qf8 or e8 insstead of e6 and black is better

I loved the last game that is me i normally lose most of my pieces and win on time , a win is a win!!
You are a fantastic teatcher ! A new follower for you 🙂
Best streamer !!!😊
05:58 you missed Queen takes d4, queen takes and bishop c5
She did but she probably didn't want to trade queens since queens on the board is chaos
Nice as always👍🏻
Thanks ✌
Bravissima !
So strong opening, almost as if you had a third bishop
Third bishop? Hmm
Eye on this bishop🐴

real
ncb5 white is better
in ba3 line
you are very strong !!!!!!
Play with around 1800 - 2000 rated player
GG Alessia
Do 1500s blunder like this or she just too strong 💪 make look easy
Alessia is a WFM. She's a very strong player and thus has her opponents under pressure almost immediately.
Except Bobby Fisher
adesso per piacere ci impari la difesa siciliana in italiano grazie :)
she is very very symphatic...
The zoom effect is annoying
I love your accent
:')
I play the O'Kelly Sicilian, I'll beat anyone
I guess the last game ur opponent is a cheater Idk but Yah

And man why did the first man resign . It was just a rook . I've blundered my queen / rook / knight and still won
Too random and impulsive chess.
try to play 1500-2000 rated player. playing with lower than 1500 does not interesting
