Would like to see chime for doorbell v2. Also, how about two different sound notifications for motion and detection for doorbell v2? :)
Tell me about it, I was disappointed to find out after I installed it that there was no associated chime with that thing. Hence, I have to upgrade to this duo now.
So is the cooldown able to be set to zero if you don’t have cam plus? Also can you do 24/7 recording?
That thing is HUGE. Unless Kyle is a hobbit.
That's a big doorbell cam. Can it be mounted sideways with photo/rotation automatically adjusted, since the top-down length will likely not be able to install flat on siding?
Apple HomeKit integration is the only thing keeping me on the edge of reconsidering my Wyze ecosystem. I love the products and features w/ subscription, no complaints - but homekit would keep me and others I’ve recommended this to in the ecosystem for much much longer, and happier!
Can you use your google home devices as the chimes like the nest and other doorbells can?
The speaker on this is bad. Extremely bad. Please donot buy it. I hope wyze recalls it and sends one with better audio.
The recorded videos are like time-lapse with missing secs. The doorbell chime doesn't have the same range as the doorbell pro (v2). The doorbell keeps disconnecting from wifi.
This doorbell also isn't compatible with wyze lock bolt.
The battery drains faster than the doorbell pro (v2).
It doesn't record like ring doorbell. (few secs before the event has started).
And my biggest issue.. No transformer included. I have doorbell pro and now this, both that I cannot use as intended, because the battery mode works with half features.
And I can't find a transformer (UK plug)
Finding one from amazon is a hit or miss reading the reviews.
I wished it came with wall power plugs man. Depending on transformer is so outdated.
Its interesting. It's a clone of the eufy dual camera doorbell thats been out for quite a while already. I did order the wyze one yesterday simply because it's half the price and i have the wyze ecosystem already.
You're right it is a cologne however well it may be half the price do they get you by having to pay for all the features while Eufy might be about $100 more you get all the features for free including all the different types of detecting and recognization. So I'd say the eufy is worth it. Plus the eufy has motion detect lights to help you see as well as to allow for better video quality at night.
@princecharmingthemerman oh I agree. I ended up sending it back cause the door mat kept triggering as a package detected and you can't hook up to the mechanical chime unless you get some module they sell that only comes in their v2 doorbell.
I have the eufy one and it sucks so much! Slow notifications, I had to get an external motion detector and set up an automation to record the doorbell because it doesn’t capture motion. It’s slow to load the app and view live footage , I’m often missing people
Anyone else notice that blurred-out secret unreleased camera on the list of devices to add? 👀
Yes
We need gate intercom with toggle switch to toggle gate motor
Is wyze shifting away from smart home gadgets? It's always cameras now a days
Looks like another doorbell, maybe Duo Cam Pro? lol idk
When does the white version come out?
Currently, only black is available, but a silver version is in the works!
The round light on the camara stay on?
@@wyzewe need white please
Will this doorbell work with Alexa echo dots? Because the previous doorbells will not notify alexa echo dots even when i properly set them up. This is a know issue and is all over the reviews on Amazon's reviews. I recently had to return 2 door bells (pro and latest version) because of this issue.
Pretty much looks exactly like Eufy dual camera doorbells, if it has continues recording and with the right price than it might be worth it
What's the most compatible home hub for wyze doorbells? I've tried Amazon echos and the Google max. Amazon picked up pretty good but lost notifications on the hub with time. Google smart hub doesn't pick up doorbell notifications at all. Please help. Going crazy here! . Do a smart hub review with the doorbells plz
I stopped buying wyze cameras because Y'all took away features from us original OG buyers, and put it all behind a pay wall.
I switched to Effy to keep my own control to myself, without pay walls for all the features I originally paid for . I don't like the bait and switch Y'all pulled on us !!
After being I Wyze Cam user from their very first version, I too switched to Eufy for the exact same reasons and I am very happy that I did!
I switched too why pay for stuff that was free . Effy is killing it over wyze .
@@tolust absolutely 💯 %
I have some Eufy products as well but I will bet that they have to do what Wyze is doing to make ends meet. Only a matter of time.
@giovannitorre4633 No it will never force pay walls, because you pay more per camera and they have a separate expandable memory home base and its owned by Anchor, who doesn't play games with the buyers or stock holders
You mention at 11:46 that its compatible with the existing mechanical chime in houses, but the website has no mention of it. Can you confirm it is compatible with mechanical chimes?
Hi there! Yes, Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell is compatible with the existing mechanical chime in your home.
@@wyze Thanks for the reply! Just bought one, this checks every single one of my boxes.
So if you're an early adopter, the Wyze app on Android doesn't have a mechanical chime setting while the iOS app does.
@@icestar65 I concur. @wyze please fix this. I am even on beta and it still is not an option with Android.
@@icestar65this is stupid and should have been pointed out at the time of purchase. Not impressed. Can't use existing, and the chime that came with the doorbell won't connect AT ALL.
This is too big for my setup; I have brick that comes right up to my door trim. Will this new chime be available as an add-on separately so I can set up the new notification feature that was mentioned?
I have them at my website and will have an adapter plate made to fit as soon as it get it in.
While it's not sold separately at this time, you can connect Wyze Wi-Fi Chime to your other Wyze cameras to get triggered notifications!
When the silver will be available?
Hey there! While we don't have an estimate as to when the silver Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell will be available, keep an eye out for more info as it comes along. 🙂
When does the silver one come out
Hey there! While we don't have an estimate as to when the silver Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell will be available, keep an eye out for more info as it comes along. 🙂
Could you guys have picked a more annoying host for this video?
Can you point me to a video the better covers wiring to continuous power and an existing doorbell chime and whether a chime controller will be needed?
Hi there! You can learn more about the installation process here: support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/30110107704603-Wyze-Duo-Cam-Doorbell-Installation-Guide.
This includes the video on wiring your doorbell unit using your existing wiring for power. As you go through the setup process in the Wyze app, you'll have the option to connect your Duo Cam Doorbell to a Doorbell Controller or you can refer to the following article: support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/19767143061659-Wyze-Doorbell-Chime-Controller-Installation-Guide
@ I saw the video in that link. It shows the chime jumper wire being an included fused bare ended wire with wire nuts whereas the Duo Cam comes with a non fused wire with attached spade connectors. The video says to disconnect the two wires from the chime and connect them together using the fused wire. I can only assume by including a none fused wire with spade connectors, the intent is to bridge the two screw terminals on the chime? Can you see how what’s in the video isn’t clear for the install of the Duo Cam?
Well done, but I have a couple of questions:
* Compare features with standard, premium, and SD card
* Is a battery charger included in the box?
* Mention which smart home systems it works with
I was definitely thinking the same thing.
Does it have 24/7 recording?? Or only records motions and door bell?
Hi there! Yes, you can record locally on a microSD card continuously 24/7.
Not available?
Does the duo came work with nest hub displays? Max or 2nd gen
Cool down is a security risk anything can happen during that period You've paid for the cam ,but can't use all features without paying for it. 🤔
I noted that you said that the Duo Cam Doorbell could be set up to use the existing chime in my home. When I tried to research it, I found that to do that I need a Waze Chime controller. Then it goes on to say it is shipped with the V2 doorbell. Well it is not included in the Duo Cam Doorbell box. So what is it, how do I get it if I elect to go that route. How complicated is the installation?
Ditto. And the included chime won't connect for some reason.
Hello there. Yes, when you opt to use your home's built-in chime, it will require a Wyze Chime Controller. At this time, the Chime Controller only comes with the purchase of a Wyze Video Doorbell v2.
If you already have a Chime Controller, you'll choose the option to use your existing AC wiring to power the doorbell after connecting your Duo Cam Doorbell to your Wi-Fi. This will further go into how to connect your Chime Controller in the Wyze app.
@@wyze So in other words, the write up on Wyze's website is very. misleading - in that they telll your the Duo Cam Doorbell can connect to the existing chime by using the Waze Chime controller - but the owner of the Duo Cam Doorbell can not get that devise if they did not already own the the Waze V2 Doorbell. Which is extremely unlikely - and implies that the V2 has a very short life.
@@wyze Are you telling me I have to buy ANOTHER camera just to get an adapter in order to use my pre-existing chimes? I'll be returning this camera tomorrow. The included Wifi chimes won't connect either. Waste of my money and time.
@@wyze Will the Wyze Android app give this option? I've been told only the Apple app has this feature. Why isn't this info readily available on the website, or on this video? I feel duped.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I have to say.. the speaker sounds horrible, after so many iterations on the cams and doorbells, I appreciate this new iteration of battery powered, SD card but if a 20 year old dumb mobile phone has a better loud speaker than this device, I'm super disappointed.
U need hearing aids
Hello
I bought this. I am sharing it with my roommate, but their phone doesn't ring when someone ring it outside except my phone.
What am I doing wrong 😕
Hey there! We recommend reaching out to our support team so that they can help you with this. Please feel free to contact them through support.wyze.com.
At 9:00min in your video, you demo how the voice over ip calls you when someone rings the door bell and it opens right to your app and you can talk to them. I click accept and it hangs up immediately. Support says that the voice over ip just calls you as a notification and this is working as intended. Is that true? I need to manually open the app to the doorbell, wait for it to give me the live view, then click microphone to talk. What is the point of the voiceover ip call then? I thought it would call me and I could immediately talk to the person at the door, rather than jump through a bunch of hoops.
Hello there. Sorry for the miscommunication! With the VOIP call feature, you should be able to receive an internet phone call instead of a push notification when the button on your doorbell is pressed. You can learn how to enable this feature here: support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/4416574792475-How-do-I-enable-VOIP-calls-on-Wyze-Video-Doorbell
Can it be used to remotely control the Wyze lock bolt?
I'm also wondering this.
I'm wondering this also
Same thing I want to know
Toward the end he mentions it.
@@ScottBuckets thanks but he mentions Wyze Lock wich is the earlier version of the Lock Bolt, we need to be sure before purchasing 😅
Is the Wyze WiFi Doorbell Chime compatible with 220V for those living outside the US, or is it limited to the 110V American standard?
Hi there. Our Wyze Wi-Fi Chime has a built-in power plug that works on a power range of range of 100V~240V.
doorbell is ridiculous hard to mount into the backplate! my exterior wall isn't flushed. my doorbell is now just dangling from the wire. please fix ASAP!
You convinced me I'm going to buy one
Don't. I've had mine for 2 weeks and it's terrible. The app has trouble replaying recorded events. the wireless chimes won't connect, and CS is basically someone reading the AI troubleshooting to you.
Is the battery the same as the Wyze cam battery pro? That would be nice.
Wish the data storage card was in the chime
Good product but the settings are really minimal. 12 seconds of recording every 1 minutes. Seriously 12 seconds is very little and the only way to increase it is to pay for an annual or monthly plan. Very above the DoorBell Duo and the Wyze Battery Cam Pro for that reason. With the Wyze Cam V3, Cam OG and the Cam Pan V3 no problem for the Cam V4 no idea.
Would someone that owns the Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell reply with the actual dimension? The Wyze website states the dimension as 6.7in x 5.1in x 1.8in (170mm x 130mm x 45mm). Is it really 6.7 inches in length and 5.1 inches in width? That doesn't match the pictures or the video.
@wyze, I'm looking for this info too. What are the actual dimensions of the camera?
150mm height. 50mm width. 35mm depth. That includes the flat back plate.
Can this work with an existing mechanical chime?
My V2 had the module that i had to change the wiring a bit to make it work. Also my V2 NEVER sent a notification to my phone, yes it was configured correctly.
Plus the V2 was the only thing on my network that lost connectivity every few hours.
Yes! You can use your existing mechanical chime with your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell. :)
@@wyze I disagree....I just installed the new Duo Cam, with the Doorbell v2 Chime Controller still installed, and there is no option-->Chime for using "My built-in house chime". Please fix this....I am not happy, since my wife is not happy. She loves our existing built-in chime and now I am in the dog house due to false advertising.
@@wyzehow?????????????¿????????
A special screw to secure the device in place is nice to have but not a must. If someone tries to remove a doorbell cam it will be enough time for the camera to record any motion and send the video to the cloud. Cloud subscription you ask? Wyze products and their plans aren’t expensive and worth paying for. Good luck saying the same about Arlo, Ring or Nest.
Advise to Wyze: keep prices accessible , read the wish list from customers on your forums and you will win the security camera system war with other companies. Looking forward to 2k Wyze pan/tilt cam, self emptying Wyze robot vacuum and 2k zoom cam 😊
Thanks for this…funny thing is the old Wyze doorbell cam lens use to be able to pan and tilt but then they inflated the price, removed the feature and never adjusted the annual fee. I’m interested in trying other brands because I’m really disappointed in Wyze and how the back office runs things.
I ordered one but now watching this video I notice that they fixed the SD card issue from being taken but to remove the doorbell its just a push pin?? Not a safety security screw? Hmm.. hopefully I have no issues
Honestly like the camera’s, if someone wants to take your SD card or Camera they are going to rip it off your wall. So secure screw or push pin, I don’t really think is going to matter at that point. Plus you should be notified with pictures when someone is touching your doorbell!
@@spug68 You got a point. Very true.
Are the mounting screw holes the same as the V2?
Why so big??? Everything is getting smaller, and you made this huge brick!
How come the VOIP does not work like shown in the video? Instead, it hangs up when trying to answer. Is this the intended function?
Hi there. Let's set you up with our Wizard Support Team to ensure you can get set up with what you need quickly. You can contact them through support.wyze.com.
When it calls does it call everyone you have the doorbell shared with?
Hi there! Shared users do not receive phone calls via Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell.
Thanks!
should I still install the battery if I am hardwiring it?
Hi there! Even with hardwiring, you must have the battery installed in the doorbell for setup and installation.
Is it compatible with previous chimes or would one have to buy new ones?
Hey there! Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell is only compatible with the included Wi-Fi Chime. You can opt to use your home's built-in chime. It will require a Wyze Chime Controller, which comes with the purchase of our Video Doorbell v2 at this time.
@@wyze so you want people to buy ALL new equipment? Cool ....
Why is there no security screw? The last doorbell pro was bought and returned because Wyze left the memory card port outside, yes it is in the back now. Also returned because the pro doesn’t have a security screw… this camera is only secured with a pin, so a paperclip and my new duo doorbell is gone.
That is the exact reason why I did not buy the version 2 and I will not buy this one either.
Can I lock down the doorbell with a screw or can anyone just walk up and steal the doorbell
Where’s the silver? 1:55
Currently, only black is available, but a silver version is in the works!
Still waiting for RTSP support. That will never happen
Yup, only thing I need to come back to Wyze
@@davidnestico same man
If it's for home assistant, try Docker Wyze Bridge
The round light stay on like doorbell v2
Does it have the pre-roll feature from the V2?
Yes, it does!
Can it record continuously 24/7 it it's hard wired and it has a sd card installed?
Why would the power source change the function of storage
Hi there! Yes, it can record continuously to your microSD card :)
@@nintendogeek64continuous recording on a battery would drain a doorbell battery pretty quickly.
@@wyzeeven without Cam Plus?
@@pieszbob1I’m curious too how fast the battery would drain with continuous recording
Can I hook it up via the electric power transformer and use the battery in case there is a power outage? Or, is it either or?
Hi there! You can hard-wire your doorbell and then use the battery in case of an outage.
@@wyze should have been more clear, if I run the doorbell via electricity, can I also install (at the same time) the battery to be there when and if the power goes out? Thanks.
No worries! That is correct. The battery would power the doorbell in case the power in your home goes out.
Can't set up the current chimes because I have an android???????? @wyze
@@wyzehow do I set it up to use my original chimes????
So if someone has a paper clip or long pin, they could just steal the doorbell within seconds?!
Well, it is a step up from hitting the V2 FROM THE BOTTOM TO UNMOUNT IT ! Boy was that a dumb design! I had placed a tiny ell bracket to prevent that. But a set screw would been an easier smarter design. At least the SD card is INSIDE!
15:17
It's attached with 3M pads. If someone wants to steal it, would any of that be necessary?
@@MarkSmithMCS 3m pads Is an option for some, but mine is mounted with screws.
no homekit or matter support lol
🤗Nice! this video doorbell a Matter Smart device?
Ill stick to my eufy doorbell system. Now if wyze has a homebase, I would def switch to wyze.
Still no Silver one... ETA???
No ETA quite yet, but we'll make sure to update our website should this change!
That’s pretty nice.
That’s pretty nice.
Can i unlock my Wyze Lock with this similar to my Wyze Doorbell Cam Pro?
Hi there! Correct, you can use your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell to diretly unlock/lock your Wyze Lock. :)
@@wyzegreat! Does it also have compatibility with the Wyze lock bolt?
@@KeemReviewzsadly it doesn’t .
@@risco1974 ahhh dang, that might be the deciding factor for me. I mean, the unlock command BARELY works with my doorbell pro but it's still a good feature to have lol
My concern is that it could easily be stolen. It appears to be very insecure.
You can also nail it to your wall or door if you dont want to use the M3.
Support home assistant nativley and i'll come back to Wyze products pls
Do they work with Google Home? I am asking because I have 7 Wyze cameras and none of them work with Google Home. Not even Wyze support cared to assist me.
Will this unlock our Wyze lock like the doorbell pro
Hi there! You can use Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell to directly unlock/lock your Wyze Lock.

Too bad your support is horrible. Keep reaching out for help but no one is home. Cannot even log on to my account. Wyze support no help.
Hello there. We're so sorry to hear this! We'd be happy to look into this further. Could you please send us the 7-digit support request ticket number you received when you reached out to us?
The install is really easy. Wyze really engineered the install well. Too bad the user interface is so horrible. They make it impossible to use this hardware unless you subscribe to their overpriced services. Clearly putting the memory card in the camera is a colossal mistake as you need 5 minutes between recordings sessions do to a cooldown period. (Which I have never seen a camera that required more than a momentary cooldown before.). Clearly Wyze is not interested in customer satisfaction.
Hi there. You can enable 24/7 local recording when you add a MicroSD card to your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell and set up the doorbell with hardwired power. You can learn more about this here: support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/31270933879707-Can-I-use-24-7-continuous-recording-with-Wyze-Duo-Cam-Doorbell
WARNING ‼️. I’ve purchased Wyze for my home’s security cameras and the doorbells are terrible. The first version lacked in viewing angle but overall never had a problem. But I decided to upgrade to the version 2. It has great viewing angles and all the said mentioned features this new dual comes with minus the floor camera (unnecessary in my opinion) but it won’t stay linked. It’s not compatible with modern internet connectivity I tried a different setup as recommended by my internet provider and still it won’t stay connected. Wyze customer service is NON EXISTENT!!! AI BS!!! You can’t talk to anyone. Eventually I just purchased the old version with chime. Guess I’ll just settle with the poor camera angle or maybe purchase an additional wedge. I would avoid these if I were you.
They literally just launched it and you suddenly have an opinion about it? Sounds like you are working for a rival company and you are just here to gas light.
Seems like you have to upgrade your wifi… mine works perfectly
