  • The anesthetic chloroform can be made from bleach and acetone. But, purifying it takes some more work. After synthesizing the trichloromethane/chloroform, it'll take another couple of steps to get you that high purity for use in the next experiment.

Shouldn't you be keeping Chloroform in a dark brown glass bottle?

Hi. Now i am in high school and i study chemistry and biology and after i watched a lot of chemistry videos about making various compounds i just have to ask. Do you and other people on yt do this reactions straight from your head or first you do some research? Beacouse when i try to do some reactions by myself it usually end on mixing first ingredients beacouse after i chceck it on internet i am suprised beacosue there are creating compounds that we never studied in school and i have that felling that every reaction depends on everything and every time there is creating compound that i will never expect and its so confuzing. ): sry for my bad eng but this is not my native language

Without question I research every chemistry experiment I do. There's too much new information that is being introduced all the time. A couple of the videos, making potassium persulfate and using fool's gold to make flash powder, I did from my head as there weren't any other videos out there at the time.

@@cranialconstruction2218 Okay. Thank you so much. I was worried and wondering if i have to know tons of above-basic info to make something by myself but now I think its not that hard. Soo i really appreciate your answer and gl with channel and chemistry 😄
