Hopefully these beautiful animals find really good people who adopts them , horses and dogs have been mans best friends for many centuries , even died for us during many wars .....
8216 is legit stunning and 15.1 hands but 13 years old. 8218 is 17 (also 15.1). I don't know why we bother adopting out these older ones instead of just letting them loose, considering how hard it is to train them past a certain age. Especially 8218; he would be better served as a wild stallion, considering how nice he looks. I'm fine and cool with adopting out the younger ones, but leave the guys/gals who lived over a decade in the wild in the wild.
actually their age doesnt matter. its how you train them. Ive trained a few older (15+ years old) with Positive Reinforcement instead of pressure and release and they did amazing. and ive got a 5 year old gelding who couldve produced some pretty babies conformation wise, but its more of pulling the stallions that dont have a huge chance getting a band going, my guy was in a bachelor band before roundup, and hadnt been seen with any mares since he was kicked out of his mothers band.
No Mustang is safe from slaughter. People are known to adopt the sale authority horses and take them straight to the sale, unfortunately. Gross people will do anything for a buck.
They should do the auction like the one in Montana (see YT channel The Clever Cowgirl). They bring them out in groups and the highest bidder takes his/her pick. Then they bid again on the same group and next highest bidder gets their choice. It saves alot of time and the horses aren't so freaked out as they're in a "herd" setting rather than individual. If there's no more bidders, than that group is brought out and the next group is brought in. Groups are separated by gender and age (age on the older could be 3-6 years old, etc.)
They have to. It’s just temporary. They can’t just let the horses manage themselves in the wild, as they have no natural predators and would starve to death. The land can’t take it. It’s better they round them up and find them good homes.
Some of them look very pregnant!!! They need to be saved immediately!!! Don’t allow them to stay in those BLM clutches!!! Get homes for them now! Leave the older horses alone!
Hopefully they will find fabulous homes.

@@Hannahs_Mustangs That's good to know! I'd love to see both of these older boys under saddle, and I hope they go to good homes!

All scared. It’s so sad that ya all put them through this.

I know this is in their best interests but it hurts my heart to see their confusion and fear!
