Thats a really good question Mike. One of my guys borrowed my scratcher and put tape on it . Some guys cannot lay the mud down as good as I can, so what they’ll do is put tape on it about 1/4” from the end. That way they can knock down high spots as they go. It also helps gauge the depth of the scratch.
brush on bonding agent in the crack on existing stucco, idk ive always done it and never added it to the mix...... if a 100 ton house or whatever the weight is wants to shift and move shit is going to crack...... ive seen guys use mesh and all sorts of crap and it still cracks, nothing you can do......
