You get bonus items from harvesting any crop, wheat is just the fastest.
You could just put the crops in your store for the base price. Advertise and it'll be gone way before waiting for farm visitors. You could put it for 1 coin if you don't care about gold too.
Have you ever been in a semi-competitive nh because if too many are promoted and deleting tasks, you'll have stacking tasks that someone could be working on but someone else thinks thats too long of a task and deletes it. The person who was stacking wasted their time. Or derbies like the Blossom derby, what if someone doesn't realize everyone in the neighborhood hasn't finished a task and because they're ready for a new blossom task deletes the current unfinished task? You'll end up with less than the maximum points if thats your goal, top 3. Or derby tasks in general, some of the more coordinated nhs will delete tasks in a specific way by time to maximize the amount of possible tasks. This is good when you're looking for easier tasks like help or mining tasks. If you're consistent with deleting tasks they come up fairly often.
To promote too many people to elder can make the derby more confusing, especially ones that have special rules if you don't have good communication. I've seen this break nhs up, especially if you don't have discord and communication for those doing stacking tasks.

I have been in a competitive neighborhood for a long time. I was in another one a long time ago that didn’t promote their good derby players and found it to be a frustrating experience. I was one of the top players but had to wait for others to trash bad/non 320 tasks. My neighborhood now is really good at communication and we all know what tasks to trash. As for saving tasks we usually don’t do that as we all know the risk that it can be deleted. Sometimes someone requests a task to be saved but we all know mistakes happen and we don’t get upset if someone misses the message and accidentally trashes the task.
