- Journalists Marites Vitug and Camille Elemia launch new book 'Unrequited Love: Duterte's China Embrace' on July 18, in Quezon City. Vitug says it is "a kind of love story that took place amid the backdrop of waves of Chinese intrusions in the West Philippine Sea."
Panelists during the book launch include Vitug and Elemia, with Senator Risa Hontiveros and former Supreme Court justice Antonio Carpio, moderated by Christian Esguerra.
Marites Vitug is Rappler's Editor-at-Large and Camille Elemia is a former Rappler reporter.

Many were believed that Duterte had done the best in giving what the Filipino needs. He was deeply admired and applauded. But his greatest mistake which the Filipino people gravely rejects is his complacency and open permission of China's abuse of our sovereignty, the Nation's wealth and security, and its people.
