I know they’re made by Mitch Murder but I don’t think either of these albums should be considered synthwave. They’re something else entirely. A whole new genre and aesthetic based on nostalgia for the Wii era. Remember when the Wii first came out? Remember the first generation Scion XB? Remember when Sudoku was a new fad? Remember when we all thought that by 2020 we’d all have an ASIMO robot butler in our house? This is that oddly specific aesthetic from 2006-2007. It’s minimalist, corporate, high tech, playful, and Japanese. And it is just begging for a name. These two albums make me imagine I’m in a white room with a bamboo or light wood floor, a tv with a wii, decorative bamboo plants, and a small electronic waterfall. Some day this might become the next big thing.
Going to be honest y'all: The music of the Salary Man Simulator games is so good it got me through my eye numbing course work. These beats are magic I swear.
Silver Lake Camp reminds so much of the music used in the show "Swiss Railway Journeys" back in the 90's, I could easily picture the RhB Bernina express passing through the Swiss forests and valleys.
There's something about your style where every song I hear I know it's Mitch. Great EP, and look forward for a selection 6? Selection 5 was by far the best
Fictional Wii game that Mitch made up. Both of these albums have that distinctly Wii aesthetic. This one sounds a bit more synthwave though. It really sounds like it could have been in an actual game.
Instant click of course, but I wish these songs were at least 10 minutes long...each!! Added to my cart in bandcamp and eagerly awaiting some more of the tracks from game soundtracks that were removed from yt earlier.
Another great tune! No matter how much recognition you get, it will never be enough (though, if this was a fair world, you would have gotten so much more already)!
I love this music! It reminds me of corporate music from Microsoft in the 90's like Canyon.mid, and everything about Microsoft from Windows 95 to XP, like they just had this certain music and the cover is from the Windows XP home screen. How about Salary Man 3: The Big Promotion!
Good job bro, both game soundtracks are great to listen to while doing school work! Is there similar styled music done by you or anyone else that sounds like this?
Looking forward to Salary Man 3: Zoomin' From Home.
I'm looking forward to the whole new genre that's coming out of this Wii-style stuff.
You mean Salary Man 3: Remote Business?

I bought this game at Gamestop.
Mitch, you are truly a staple in the synthwave genre!
I'm gonna make my office look like these two albums sound.

3. Scavenger Hunt 03:11
4. Team-Building Exercise 04:54
5. Downtime 06:12
6. Evening Reception 07:52
7. Return Ferry 08:59
I remember playing this one a lot back in early 2009.
These two albums REALLY nail down my favorite aesthetic. It’s very 2006-2007.
Salary Man Simulator 3: Late For Work
Salary Man Simulator 4: You’re Fired
The composer with 💎 🙌 🎶 Mitch Murder!
No fucking way...
I was just listening to SalMan1 thinking what a cool concept now BOOM! SalMan2
My wife divorced me because I wouldn't stop playing this game
😁
Divorces and corporate retreats go perfectly together.
The bassline in these songs are DOPE!!!! What a great that!!!!
Thanks, Mitch!

Great piece of Officewave!
Mitch does it again damn eveytime 🔥
While earning my salary this man listens to this. Soundtrack to my day.
This is genius, quite a revolution in expanding the boundaries of the genre
I legit cracked a big ole smile seeing this pop up in my sub box. The sequel I didn't know I needed, but I'm so glad it exists.
You are my Hero!
Mitch should make more Wii style music. Who else is with me?
This is the next big thing after synthwave IMO.
Part of this sounds like the theme song for Jackie Chan walking down a dark alley
Silver Lake Camp reminds so much of the music used in the show "Swiss Railway Journeys" back in the 90's, I could easily picture the RhB Bernina express passing through the Swiss forests and valleys.
This brings back so many memories of playing Pilot Wings on the SNES and Wave Racer 64 back in the day! Oh the memories!
ohh we definitely asked for this. thank you, Mitch
This is SO Good! I think this a needs a companion or remix album for industrial/manufacturing Salary workers..
I love these. Thank you again, Mitch.
No body is doing anything musically like this. That’s what makes Mitch Mitch. Your an inspiration. Keep playing the mystery
This is so beautiful. Brings me back to 95.
The track Scavenger Hunt absolutely fills me with 2006-2007 nostalgia.
rented this one from my local Blockbuster back around 08' or 09' surprisingly the waggle controls weren't too bad, a relaxing pleasure to play
There's something about your style where every song I hear I know it's Mitch. Great EP, and look forward for a selection 6? Selection 5 was by far the best
I heard SMS I and II and I love them. They remind me tycoon and business management games from the 90s like Capitalism Plus and Theme Hospital.
They also feel kinda like something from 2006-2007 Wii games
amazing soundtrack, I listened to it like 5 times already... you rock
This will always deserve more views.
3:53 is the BEST part in my opinion. I wish there was more of it.
My god I loved the first one :O
Downtime is absolute earmelting material..
Tax man: breaking the legs
never played this game, never knew it existed. these vibes are hitting just right

FANTASTIQUE! Listening just at... the Corporation!
amazing again and again
Damn dude, loving it as always and really starting to feel like I wanna try it out myself. What tools are you using? Thanks for being an inspiration!
Amazing, I love those albums
Another great tune! No matter how much recognition you get, it will never be enough (though, if this was a fair world, you would have gotten so much more already)!
MM Master of SynthWave
Goddammit Mitch, you've done it again.
Its 10 am, its Mitch Murder, and its good

Nice
I feel like I'm going to learn about dinosaurs, or the World Wide Web, may I use this for an animation eventually?
Love it
3:10 is really 80's and 90's nostalgic!
SalaryMan 3: Tax Evasion
perfect
I can smell the nostalgia. Why don't consoles feel as wholesome as 2000s Nintendo anymore?
I love this music! It reminds me of corporate music from Microsoft in the 90's like Canyon.mid, and everything about Microsoft from Windows 95 to XP, like they just had this certain music and the cover is from the Windows XP home screen.
How about Salary Man 3: The Big Promotion!
Looking forward to Salary Man 4: Karoshi
This is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them.
My mind immediately went to Super Mario 64 at 0:46.
7:53 has some Wave Race, ISS64 vibes. I feel like digging out my N64 listening to this nevermind a Wii
Bäst! Som vanligt.
Good job bro, both game soundtracks are great to listen to while doing school work! Is there similar styled music done by you or anyone else that sounds like this?
The genre is called "New Retro Wave", Casey. There's a lot of tunes on RUclips, but I doubt you'll find any of them as brilliant as Mitch Murder's! =)
good
3:27 Special Victims Unit - chicago police
Gosto demais do estilo Mitch Murder de fazer musica instrumental, ele é demais
Hahahahahaha!!!! I love this!
I'm sure you're the composer of hotel dusk
