    I love the looks of the new T series. Best one yet a real silver Gleaner again. Congratulations on a great job on the appearance. Best wishes!

    20 years ago I sketched up a new design machine. Bigger shields the same as the right side to include the batteries. No stupid mesh. Flared out bin extensions, wider and heavier ladder, tap on the hyd filter and tank. Turret auger as current auger was never high enough and restricted left side access. Much Bigger folding doors on right to allow access to chopper belt and the main engine pulley. STRONGER panels, potentially plastic. Slightly longer feeder house. Vario transmission for up to 40km/h unlimited ranges on 2 speed but 20km/hr work speed. Sorry to sound like a smart Alec, but it’s true.

    We had R62 Gleaner combines for years. Three with the Deutz air cooled engines, and one with the 8.3 l Cummins . The air cooled were amazing for fuel economy and power. The little 8 .3 Cummins was a joke. We ran it at half the ground speed as the Deutz powered ones. The main problems we had were constant breakdowns. Just too m much hp for the sheet metal under the horse power. But maybe it was just the nut behind the wheel pushing too hard. Best grain sample of any combine out there!

    How does the ladder open with a dead battery

    • @michaelmueller2778

      well if the battery is dead your not going to do any harvesting anyways,so first priority is get the charger or put in a new battery

    I love the gleaner but it’s the same old pig with lipstick on it. A few mechanical upgrades. You’re falling behind on size class 7 and 8 should be looking for 8-9-10 class! I haven’t seen any specs on it yet compared with the S series?

      @@wcooman1694 R to S series was a size improvement along many other upgrades. Why not upgrade size and more than just a few mechanical things after over 10 years?

      @@GMC_K15 I'm thinking there's probably limitations to the transverse rotor. Can't really go bigger without making it wider & taller. Additional HP wouldn't gain much.

    • @GMC_K15
      @GMC_K15 4 месяца назад +3

      @@wcooman1694 Most likely the case but after over 10 years I would expect more. Most other class 8 machines are a decent chunk bigger and it would be nice to be comparable with the transverse rotor. Larger diameter rotor is possible, is a wider feederhouse an option? Does the rotor have enough surface area to be fed through the center and have the straw go through both sides of the combine? Could use a conventional 6 cylinder engine with larger displacement to boost horsepower if needed and move the engine further back for more space. Yes this adds weight but would boost capacity a lot if its possible

    We have no dealers! Unless Agco gets their heads out of their rears and fully support the ma and pop stores, our supply of combines and parts are going to be worse. I could get 50 plus machines in the area if we had a dealer within 10 miles instead of a 45 to 50 minute drive.

    • @arlynkraft3581
      @arlynkraft3581 3 дня назад

      Lack of dealers and reliable service in the area was the reason we switched to Case after owning N6, two R6 and a R 72 over the years. All very easy to work on when compared to Case flagships we run now.. I feel the sample quality is in the operator running the machine.

    Not very handy to have to swing the auger out to open the side panel for maintenance on the combine. Would have to build a bigger shop before buying the combine. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
