I enjoy these batch comparison videos John, nice one! I'm not a fan of Kilkerran, I never found anything that really impressed me with them but I do know they have a huge fan base :) Cheers!
The only Kilkerran 16 YO I've tried is the 2020 (5.10.20). Depending on who you believe, this one is almost all ex-Bourbon cask with 2% Madeira cask or 4% Marsala cask (which I believe). Very good, but not as engaging as the wonderful 12 YO.
Jean and I have yet to have Kilkerran. Thanks for putting it on our radar. Cheers.
Go for the 12
Hi John, I have 2 2022 bottles of the 16. 21/06/22. They clearly state not chill filtered no color added on the back label.
I bought them in Alberta, Canada
Just checked my newer K12 & K16 …750ml… USA… no mention at all about either NCF or color…

K12 is the way to go.
Also Ralft did a recent review of fhe 16 and it also says not chill filtered no added color on the back label. So not sure whats going on.
Maybe just USA bottles??
Nice review as always John. I prefer the 2022 to the 2021 but prefer most batches of the 12 to either of these 16s!
Interesting Lang… I like both but the 2022 seems more ex-bourbon and agree the 12 is the better value.
Cheers 🥃
Just checked my bottle and the laser code is the same as yours! 21/06/22. Cheers!
Cheers Z-Bob!
Good juice with more ex-bourbon influence.
Nice side by side! I'll take one of each!

Interesting… thanks for sharing!
I haven’t had or seen the 2020 but agree the K 12 is better bang for buck … so far.
Cheers 🥃
